Kinda insane how good this is. Even the added details such as the flames from Bowser's castle or the airships above. Mario getting pushed back by Mecha Sonic has his feet digging and leaving tracks in the ground. Absolutely insane detail and just crazy amounts of fluidity. Great stuff.
For sure! The clever transitions, incredible portrayal of personality just from movement and expression, and brilliant camera work are super inspiring! Top quality stuff like this is what creators dream to make.
It's genuinely SCARY how much this emulates Official Nintendo Direct Trailers while also being it's own thing. 10/10 I'm sharing this as much as I can!!!!
It’s been well over a decade since i last followed this series. The last episode came when I was in 8th grade, with shadow leaving the group and going his own way. I’m 26 now. These trailers will always keep my hyped for the next episode. I really hope Alvin comes back and continues the series from where it left off.
about 2-3 years ago he decided to reboot it and he now has 2 episodes out and shows how much talent he has to come and reboot the series but it also retaining it's quality if not more. his channel name is Mark Haynes where he uploads the reboot.
And he's still working on part 3 as we speak, which is episode 4 from the old series. The reboots are spectacular since they not only preserve the old but add in the new. Yoshi vs Metal in the old series was an undated fight but now its up there with vanishing island.
Nothing short of godlike. This doesn't even look like it was made in 2D first, the choreography carries over spectacularly, and it's just beautiful. Even the little things like Mario and Sonic announcing their companies, Mario's thumbs-up on the plane, Yoshi's little dance on his title cards, the Koopalings' shots - all so fluid and lively, "incredible" doesn't do it justice. Lot of people have already said it could pass as official, and they're 100% right. Enormous props to you, this is definitely more than worthy of Mark's blessing.
The original 2D animation did a great job of portraying scenes with depth and liveliness. And this animator did an equally outstanding job translating that. A great example of the great improving on the great.
This...this is a masterpiece. Everything about this, from the art style based on the sprites, to the lighting, to... everything. Just...just everything.

I love the animation! It is full of life and character! Each character retains their personality, and Mario looks so bouncy and happy! This is incredible, keep up the great work.
This is the best thing i've seen in the past few months. The overall quality of animation, lighting, expressiveness, all that... ah, so good. Every scene feels so dymanic, full of life and character. can't even describe, how much that impressed me. absolute masterpiece.

@@ClouderSavage Does that really matter? It was fan made, amazing don’t get me wrong but this person wants this fan to make the whole series 3D like this. As much as I’d want to get behind something like that I can’t because Alvin hasn’t even finished his original project and I’ve been watching him since Newground days. Let him finish completely and let that age is all I’m saying
@@darienchandler5136 Do not get your hopes up.
Alvin will never finish his project because Nintendo is actively against it. He was rebooting the series on Newgrounds, but just as soon as he published episode 1 he received a cease and desist order.
@@cescomuja5820 I swear I hate the Nintendo company.
Brings back nostalgia
This feels best as a movie/video game!!!
This is what Mario Broz Z looked like to us, way back in the 2000s. Alvin changed the sprite series game, he was (still is) unmatched. EVERY single animator wanted to be like him. What an OUTSTANDING tribute to his series, awesome job! Mario Bros Z fan for life!
If you tell me it's official, I completely believe you, an exquisite and spectacular adaptation taken to infinity, many of us who know the series definitely jumped with emotion with your magnificent work ❤💙
Man, what I would kill for a Sonic and Mario crossover that isn’t an Olympic game.
this is so good im surprised Nintendo isn't copyright striking it.
A serious Mario and Sonic crossover has some great potential. Just imagining Mario using the Chaos Emeralds has me hyped up.
Or sonic using stars and mushrooms
What if Mario fought Metal Sonic
I find it funny to think about
I envision Mario in green hill act 1 struggling to get through the first loop and then dying of *times up*
Spoilers for Super Mario Bros Z:
In SMBZ episode 8 of the original series
Last warning for anyone who hasn't seen it...
SONIC GRABS A FIRE FLOWER AND TURNS INTO FIRE SONIC WHICH WAS THE MOST EPIC AMAZING FANMADE TRANSFORMATION IVE EVER SEEN!!!
@@GordanTheToad Sonic with power ups would be sick
Kinda insane how good this is. Even the added details such as the flames from Bowser's castle or the airships above. Mario getting pushed back by Mecha Sonic has his feet digging and leaving tracks in the ground. Absolutely insane detail and just crazy amounts of fluidity. Great stuff.
It's professional level quality for sure. About as good as any official Smash Bros cinematic.
For sure! The clever transitions, incredible portrayal of personality just from movement and expression, and brilliant camera work are super inspiring! Top quality stuff like this is what creators dream to make.

CHILLS... ABSOLUTE CHILLS!!!.. the 3D animation is super top-notch and you captured the intro perfectly!!
It's genuinely SCARY how much this emulates Official Nintendo Direct Trailers while also being it's own thing. 10/10 I'm sharing this as much as I can!!!!
This is on the same level as Astartes, fans have been topping the IP they fan over lately you love to see it
Honestly looks as high production value as the Smash Ultimate trailers. Stunning.
@@TheRealDownUnder From what I understand episode 3 is going to be the backstory.
He's rebooted it with much higher quality, both vids are on youtube
Yoshi down smashes lol
this is actually better than anything Nintendo orSega could make combined
I will not lie, this is actually so amazingly done. I can see all the effort put into this.
Seeing characters in this series that have never been in 3D before is such a bizarre yet satisfying experience, this is so well done
Bruh what are you talking about?? 💀
Sonic and Mario have 3D games ya know 💀💀

This...this is a masterpiece. Everything about this, from the art style based on the sprites, to the lighting, to... everything. Just...just everything.
This may well be the best Sonic and Shadow have ever looked and animated in 3D, and it doesn't feel particularly close. Absolutely phenomenal work.
such an underrated animation series
1:18 When the beat drops and Mario smashes through the wall and does the cyclone spin, that animation is SO SMOOTH I can’t stop rewinding 😭
Man this ANOTHER LEVEL 10/10. Made so many of childhoods come to 3D it looks beautiful!
This is actually sick
BRO THIS SO FLIPPING GOOD OMG THIS SO FIREEEEEEEEEE
1:43 The Fire Flower power-up sound happening on the beat is 👌💯🔥
Its amazing
Words fail me. This is incredible. I was around and online in the days when SMBz first debuted on NewGrounds, and it gladdens my heart to know the series still has fans to this day. I can only hope that Alvin-Earthworm continues to find it in his heart to continue his plans for a series remake, because this is a series that **deserves** to see completion.
He's actually much better now. Especially since he got off of Twitter and now he occasionally shows off W.I.P. stuff on his channel. Now it's just a matter of time since those episodes do take a bit for him to do.
So sweet that they went with those rifts reminds me when i watched through the fire and flames smbz video ❤️
This gave me goosebumps. They all look so cool, this is amazing!
Wait Garrulous64 ?
The fact that only one guy made something that cool is insane
This is the hardest animation I have ever seen.

It’s amazing absolutely so amazing. Thank you for creating this heavy nostalgia burst of a video. And special thanks to alvinearthworm of course who created the original super Mario bros Z. So legit I’m gonna watch this again a few more times haha
