Wow is right. Holy sh*t…that drummer is fire and mesmerizing with the timing. But by the end of the song I was floored by the fluidity of the lead guitarist. Not only did he nail the notes but captured the feel of the original. Bravo and wow again

Affirmative action accolades not needed for HSCC.....they are good in their own right and deservedly well earned.

One of my favorite songs from my early-teen years. This Australian band is really great. The musicians are phenomenal and are able to sing just like the original singers and sometimes even better. I admire all you guys, and this singer always looks so charismatic in whichever clip he's in. Keep up the great job, guys. Cheers, from southeastern Brazil.
When I first heard the original Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits back in the day, I was blown away. This version is very good indeed and the lead guitar playing is awesome !

Yes, and no. It's very clean and stable, but i prefer Terry Williams - he used to push faster and harder after first half of the song.

One word...TIGHT! Exceptionally tight and talented drummer, incredibly perfect and tight lead guitarist, (every note and nuance rang true), solid rhythm guitarist carried the whole tune, bass playing and vocals are masterful. Wonderful rendition and very pleasing to watch and listen to. Thanks guys for my usual Thursday night fix!

I've listened to this song for nearly 40 years. I'm still addicted to it, in fact more than ever. This cover band has done an amazing job of making it as beautiful as the original. So, I love it so much that I bought an electric guitar and learned the lead guitar part. It has taken 4 months of daily playing and I am nearly good enough to play it on stage. My wife and kids have practically disowned me.
I've also been addicted to this song since this song came out around 1979.
I also play a little bit of guitar but I don't even start, too hard.
Nice to hear I'm not the only one addicted to this song.

This was one of the best covers of the is song that I have heard. It is not easy to replicate both Mark's singing as well as his guitar work. This cover did both very well!

Of course Mark Knopfler did it better in his prime. But considering that the guitarist uses a pick and not fingerstyle, it's very very good and fluid.
You character... There are a million guitarists that can play that simple riff.. But only one created it!
What can I say, all members performed brilliantly, with perfect pace and drive. All I need to do now is to listen to it again it was that good. Well done
Cover bands have to decide whether to honor the material by expressing themselves within the confines of the song or to honor the material by playing it just as the original artist did. HSCC does the best job of deciding when to do one or the other. And James nailing MK's solo was not only skillful but genius! Good job guys on every part of this song. Well well done! Con; great job on vocals and bass. You always serve the song with your bass playing!

@@cll1639 con sings for HSCC “I don’t wanna talk about it”, “escape (the Pina colada song)”, “walk on the wild side”, “im on fire”, etc, on lead vocals, and has done a huge number of backing vocals. And a stunning blues track with “beautiful” in the title.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that Sultans of Swing is my favourite song of all time. I'm really pleased that Dire Straits are finally releasing SoS (from their On Every Street Tour), in their upcoming Live 1978-1992 collection. HSCC, this was flawless! It seems really unfair that RUclips only allow you to 'like' this once. I propose that RUclips change this so that we can like it every time we watch!
