      Amen to that! I just unsubscribed from a well-known comedian because he and his wife were bashing the president...don't go to their channel for politics...I go for comedy! I'm also thinking of unsubscribing from another channel if the person doesn't stop taking God's name in vain and using other foul language...her partner on the channel is so kind so I hate to stop viewing for her sake, but that one girl is nasty sometimes.

    You have no idea how much your videos have helped me get back in the swing of cleaning. I'm a nurse, wife, and mother of 6 that has battled psychological and physical fatigue due to lupus for years and i have allowed it to completely turn me away from keeping our beautiful home clean and organized. I truly believe your home shows how you feel inside and seeing your videos and digging deep down about my feelings towards myself has given me the strength and courage to make changes and get our home back in order. Thank you for giving constant motivation. You are a gem❤💛❤

      I agree. I to think our homes are a reflection of what's going on, on the inside. It's not easy at all to push through when health issues are working against you. Some times doing 20 min in each room can be helpful. I'm glad you are doing better.♥️

    Thank you, Kathryn! I definitely needed this video. I am 35 weeks pregnant, wrapping up all my stuff at work before taking maternity leave, trying to declutter and organize the house, and give plenty of time and attention to our wonderful 4 year old son. Sometimes I look around at all the things that need to get done and it can be overwhelming. But, I take whatever free time I have to tackle something, no matter what it is, and at least I know I got something done. Thank you again, and best of luck to you and your family!

      Be kind to yourself expecting mama!! Newborn days can long and hard (I’m in week 3 with my sixth)! I found it helpful to have a small routine- do something for birth, something for my family/house, rest, repeat. Fill in with your things, and you’ll find you get more done taking time for yourself to rest, even if its short! Best wishes for your baby and birth!!

    I just wanted to comment and say that your channel has been so encouraging to me these past few weeks. I am in nursing school, work two jobs, and my husband is a regional pilot going for his bachelor's degree as well. Because of our schedules, we don't have that much time to spend together, let alone time without homework or ineffective cleaning. We have only been married for about one and a half years and are currently on a journey to declutter our life and establish positive cleaning habits. Your words of encouragement and honesty really have changed my perspective on healthy habits and your channel makes me really feel as if we can attain our goals of healthier living. Thank you for the encouragement and life that you speak into those watching videos, you really make a difference!! You're awesome and I can't wait to watch more of your content!

    Kathryn... I make those bars too (4:29). I don't heat the peanut butter, just keep the jar in the pantry until time to make the bars so it stays soft for mixing. I really need this motivation. I had hand and elbow surgery at the end of August, developed a staph infection in my elbow in the beginning of September, and spent two nights in the hospital plus additional surgery to clean out the infection. The antibiotics I'm on have left me feeling drained and I'm just so ready to feel better but am lacking the energy. I haven't dusted my home in almost two weeks, but for the most part, the important things are done. We have clean laundry and grocery pickup has been awesome. I like the idea about setting aside time to worry. I do that a lot, given the state of our country. Thank you for the motivation! I'm going to try to get some things done later on. 🤗💖

    Cranberry Chicken:
    1 small bottle of Catalina or California Dressing
    1 can of whole cranberries sauce
    Chicken for 4
    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
    Mix the salad dressing (Catalina/California) with the can of whole cranberries (sauce) in a medium mixing bowl. You may use a whisk or a mixing spoon- your choice. I like the whisk; it mixes faster in my opinion. Set aside for a minute. Place the chicken of your choice of cut (I prefer the thighs but breasts work too) in a casserole dish or some sort of baking pan alike. Pour the mixture of Catalina or California Dressing and the cranberries over the top of the chicken that you placed in the pan. Bake the defrosted chicken 30 minutes (45-60 minutes if frozen depending on oven and altitude) or until there is NO red in the chicken. Remove from oven and serve. The chicken is so tasty and it tastes like you slaved over the stove for hours. I wasn't into cranberries until my Grandma made this for the family; now, it's one of my favorite dishes.

    Love the batch cook... I’ve been homeschooling and cooking three meals at home for several years and finally I realized that this takes many forms! Whenever I’m in the kitchen I’m planning more than one meal- cleaning up from dinner I’ll make soaked oats or throw the leftover veggies in a frittata. Making breakfast I’ll pull out a freezer meal or get the crockpot going. If you don’t want to freeze, lunch I’ll make a veggie tray that lasts us a few days and cut veggies for another meal. Make the most of the time in the kitchen (and then you already know what meal is coming up). We also will make a little extra and plan a leftover day, or have a soup for dinner and then the leftover soup with a small salad the next day for lunch. Batch cook doesn’t always have to mean freeze!! Good luck everyone! Just think about how many public school jobs it takes to do yours! (I wish I had a janitor or lunch lady!!)

      Amen sister. So glad someone already said this. Setting time aside to worry is ridiculous. You'll be worrying even more by looking at the clock constantly until you get to the time that you're "allowed" to worry. People have committed suicide in that time frame. Eliminating the worry all together is what needs to be done and that can only be achieved when we leave our worries at the foot of the cross. ✝️🙏🏽❤️
      "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
      - Philippians 4:6‭-‬7
      "Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?"

    This week, I have decided to destash things in my kitchen that I have either too many of, or we don't use. Instead of having a bunch of things that only have one use, I will invest my money and time in utensils and appliances, that have multiple uses, So tired of clutter in my home, and your videos always remind me that my house it too cluttered. Thank you for your positivity and motivation!

    I love when you insert audio clips about something that really hit home with you! I remember awhile back you inserted an audio clip about making your bed and how it helps you be more productive and that has really helped me. And I really feel like now if I tell myself to "just eat the frog" I'll get way more done. 😌 Thanks, Kathryn! ♥️

    You inspired me last weekend to go through my pantry and cupboards and organize, purge, etc. I wanted to cry when I had everything pulled out because it was so overwhelming but I kept going. It took me most of Saturday afternoon but i got it done and it looks fabulous now and is so organized. I am still tweaking it but it is so amazing to know what i have and where it is! Thank you for always keeping your videos real. I love that so much!!!!!

    When you are thinking how hard laundry is be thankful you have a nice laundry room on the main floor. Some people have to haul their laundry down to their washer and dryer at the far end of a not very nice basement and then haul it back up the stairs. This is all done one load at a time. It's even harder when you are old with bad knees. lol

    • @HollyA580
      @HollyA580 4 года назад

      Lol, that is the truth! This was me for my entire life until I retired and moved to a home that had the washer and dryer on the same floor as the bedroom (although I did have a laundry chute so only had to haul them up). Laundry is a cinch now compared to before - and of course only clothes for my hubs and me makes it even easier! I feel that pain though!

    • @melissahilt9571
      @melissahilt9571 4 года назад

      Yes! 💯 I have to haul my laundry down 2 flights of stairs to the furthest spot in my yucky LOW ceiling basement go up and down for however many loads I am doing and then haul all the clean laundry back up 2 flights of stairs! Its definitely a workout. We've officially had enough of it for 7 years and are finally doing some renovating and getting our laundry upstairs. Dont even care if it needs to go into my living room at this point. 😆😅 i wouldve done just about anything to get it on the main floor in my home. To boot im only 28 years old so can only imagine if i was much older. Although I do have a shot back which doesn't make it any easier :(

      What else is bad is when you and your child live in an RV and have to travel to a laundromat with your child strapped to your chest on a carrier alone while trying to do wash, dry, and fold.

    I've been taking care of my husband's needs a lot more than my own and our home. He has Parkinson's Disease and not being able to go exercise for quite a while caused him to digress. So, now he's able to go exercise and he's doing a little better.
    So, knowing he's doing better I'm remotivated!! I've given myself a goal to have our home back to being decluttered, and organized by September 30th. I'm gonna get help with dusting and some household chores so that I can make sure our home stays clean and I can drive him to his exercise classes and doctor appointments with ease.
    Wish me Luck but I think this is going to be doable.
    Thanks for the tips, helpful hints and information.
    Blessings and Love from my home to yours❣

One of my biggest issues is when I find something in the wrong room I go and bring it to the right one immediately and then... yup you guessed it... i start on that room so I end up with only partially finished rooms and then beat myself up about not staying on track. ☹️I’m hoping this motivates me to just start and power through it.
