If you follow the trends this week on youtube, you will find bunch of *alip ba ta* reaction video If you have a plan to "back to youtube" please make a reaction video to *alip ba ta - the last of the mohicans* (guitar fingerstyle cover). In this video he use used toy electric motor to make a violin sound effect out of acoustic guitar Then, play a little your hurdy gurdy as a "comparison" and/or explanation about hurdy gurdy. I believe many people dont know about this instrument
No two instruments will sound the same! Even if you take two identical instruments built by the same luthier, they may sound different depending on the strings, rosin, and the natural sonic properties of each. Many "modern" instruments have added strings and features put there for augmenting the instruments capabilities and volume, but if you have a plain 6-string French round back instrument with internal pickups, it may outperform any modern instrument when plugged to a sound system.
Very Helpful comparison. I'd love to see a diagram of how the interior structures differs between the two. Fascinating 😍
Happy New Year! Thank you for your interesting videos on hurdy gurdys.
Really nice bit of Gurdy TV 📺 thank you J&S
Thanks for the comparison! Really nice to hear both together and very good points!
You two look so natural and nice :) Happy new year!

Love the video! From which builders are both of your hurdy gurdies?
They were made by Chris and Sabina Allen and Wolfgang Weichselbaumer
