I absolutely love that cut animated intro. Just the theme song and the intro remind me of two animated shows intros from that era, Histeria! and a little bit like Freakazoid. I wonder if some of the song writers for those shows (or even Animaniacs) wrote this song. It's a shame it wasn't released in the game.

Definitely can't be recreated with PS2 or PS3, despite those being my only two methods of playing the game currently - I don't even know where my PS1 is at the moment.

Fun facts: actor Brendan O'Brien voices all of the speaking characters. Who is he? Look him up. Crash's camera angle was referred to as "Sonic's ass." They couldn't mention how Mark Mothersbaugh became involved? I thought Universal had franchise plans for Crash including a TV series and even a theme park attraction, hence the animated intro.
Well they were hell bent that crash was strictly their character and creation no one else’s but theirs plus they treated him and Spyro pretty badly after Insomniac and naughty dog were done with them
only thing that rubbed on me entire time was Ferret was "yelling" way too much. its like breaking me to try focus on understand more about the beta stuff. I've got used to hear you only talk Beta64 and your voice is just fitting for this stuff. I understand for sure having someone as visiting guest is fun but.. Ferret could have tried talk slower and also more calm like you do.

If that animated short was designed to be the intro for the first game, it actually shows one really cool thing: Tiny Tiger and the Komodo Brothers are visible in it in the background, and that means that, even if they're not in the first game, their designs were already complete before the second game was made.

Ok, does anyone else absolutely LOVE that old TV spot? I tend to laugh at old-school cringe-worthy commercials like that, but I actually freaking loved that! XD
Hopefully, Activision will play it smart and finalize the incomplete stages for their upcoming N. Sane Collection, though that's probably just wishful thinking. The Acid Cavern stage could be implemented in a way to further explain where Cortex falls after his defeat- i.e; Making the stage the very same cavern where he first discovers Uka Uka and the crystals, creating a additional aspect of storytelling that could help expand onto the mythos of the second title. Additionally, having the removed waterfall stage function as a prelude to the Ripper Roo fight would be perfect.
I came really close to stopping watching because Ferret's obnoxious attention-seeking yelling was almost giving me a headache. I had to mute one of his parts towards the end. The crystal cavern level looks really pretty.
Rio Kamichika but why would you bother to take note about his volume instead of the content he was displaying? I know it's not just you because many seem pained about it. I just can't grasp why him yelling through the entire video was miffable or obnoxious. Idk, to each narrator their own .
+James VD If you can't grasp it, it might be difficult to explain it in a way you'd understand. Some people (myself included) don't really like yelling voices (especially in contrast to such a soothing voice speaking when the yelling voice isn't). I think footofaferret is a nice guy, but his voice is a bit too fast and loud for my liking, and if narration is the purpose of the video, that doesn't bode well. Personally, I wish it didn't bother me because I like learning about supplemental information regarding video games. I suppose the only way I can think of putting it into perspective is if you can imagine something that annoys you but doesn't annoy others. I'm sorry if that didn't make much sense; if it doesn't annoy you, it's hard to explain specifically why something annoys others.

You know, the animated ending is really cartoon-y, but I like that they show Cortex giving the final FU to Crash by him blowing up his own blimp, possibly killing him.
I hate the anti-2D thing that was going on then, it nearly killed a lot of games and it's still going on today with pubs and hardware makers wanting to show how pretty they can make a game vs making something fun. Sony was giving Capcom a hard time with Megaman X4 apparently, till capcom said they wouldn't get Resident Evil if they blocked the game. ..Yeah...Megaman X4, one of the best in the series :| Rayman Legends & Origins both show you can have a pretty, fun to play game that's 2D.
Yeah, man. The SEGA Saturn was a 2D POWERHOUSE, but everyone wanted 3D, so they used it more prominently, when that just wasn't the console's strength at all. Going back to modern games, I really like Rayman Origins, (haven't played Legends yet), and Tembo the Badass Elephant was recently put out by Game Freak, the guys who make Pokémon. That's also really fun. Then there's Mega Man 9 and 10. Also, the Mario games are still amazing. 3D Land and 3D World both look great for their systems, and they're like a combo between 2D and 3D games in the series.
+Tael the Mask Salesman Legends is really, really, really good, maybe even better than Origins in some aspects. Do not, do not look up levels and just get it if you can. There's specific levels that will blow your mind with how fantasticly fun they are. I'm waiting for Tembo to go down, I liked their other platformer on the Mega Drive (Jap only) Pulseman. Shovel Knight, another fun 2D game that ...well it's certainly not NES, it'd be SNES or Gen with the music and paralax scrolling. Freedom Planet may as well have been straight off the Saturn. They made that game perfect to the era, but it's only on PC and WiiU (which has been delayed on WiiU)

Hopefully, Activision will play it smart and finalize the incomplete stages for their upcoming N. Sane Collection, though that's probably just wishful thinking. The Acid Cavern stage could be implemented in a way to further explain where Cortex falls after his defeat- i.e; Making the stage the very same cavern where he first discovers Uka Uka and the crystals, creating a additional aspect of storytelling that could help expand onto the mythos of the second title. Additionally, having the removed waterfall stage function as a prelude to the Ripper Roo fight would be perfect.
I came really close to stopping watching because Ferret's obnoxious attention-seeking yelling was almost giving me a headache. I had to mute one of his parts towards the end. The crystal cavern level looks really pretty.

+James VD If you can't grasp it, it might be difficult to explain it in a way you'd understand. Some people (myself included) don't really like yelling voices (especially in contrast to such a soothing voice speaking when the yelling voice isn't). I think footofaferret is a nice guy, but his voice is a bit too fast and loud for my liking, and if narration is the purpose of the video, that doesn't bode well. Personally, I wish it didn't bother me because I like learning about supplemental information regarding video games. I suppose the only way I can think of putting it into perspective is if you can imagine something that annoys you but doesn't annoy others.

I hate the anti-2D thing that was going on then, it nearly killed a lot of games and it's still going on today with pubs and hardware makers wanting to show how pretty they can make a game vs making something fun.
Sony was giving Capcom a hard time with Megaman X4 apparently, till capcom said they wouldn't get Resident Evil if they blocked the game. ..Yeah...Megaman X4, one of the best in the series :|
Rayman Legends & Origins both show you can have a pretty, fun to play game that's 2D.
Yeah, man. The SEGA Saturn was a 2D POWERHOUSE, but everyone wanted 3D, so they used it more prominently, when that just wasn't the console's strength at all. Going back to modern games, I really like Rayman Origins, (haven't played Legends yet), and Tembo the Badass Elephant was recently put out by Game Freak, the guys who make Pokémon. That's also really fun. Then there's Mega Man 9 and 10. Also, the Mario games are still amazing. 3D Land and 3D World both look great for their systems, and they're like a combo between 2D and 3D games in the series.
+Tael the Mask Salesman Legends is really, really, really good, maybe even better than Origins in some aspects. Do not, do not look up levels and just get it if you can. There's specific levels that will blow your mind with how fantasticly fun they are.
I'm waiting for Tembo to go down, I liked their other platformer on the Mega Drive (Jap only) Pulseman.
Shovel Knight, another fun 2D game that ...well it's certainly not NES, it'd be SNES or Gen with the music and paralax scrolling. Freedom Planet may as well have been straight off the Saturn. They made that game perfect to the era, but it's only on PC and WiiU (which has been delayed on WiiU)

It's funny how despite the games' cartoon artstyle & music, the animated intro and outro seem really out of place. o.o I feel it strays away from the games original style, a platformer with a fun story. Not just a cartoon with a 'wacky' character.
