I’ve owned and worked on exotics for 30 years. I can tell you, you will never own an older exotic where it works 100%. They’re temperamental and designed not to be used as a daily driver. Expect that every year you will spend a couple thousand on something. You want a daily? Buy a Honda.
At least you're not in software development dealing with giant corporations and government departments saying they expect to be paying 10% or less of current contracts and projects to be completed in days and weeks by "a handful of bright guys using AI prompts" instead of months by a team of dozens of full stack pros who live a very decent life on $1M+ incomes and are not interested in "how long will it take?" when their whole career is based on excellent design and development that results in quality systems, not junk that's a field beta for users to be frustrated with tech support and updates.
What is the biggest obstacle on the Scud? the title status or inability to finance it? Basic economy turndown I would have thought that it would have sold all day for 165k as a tracker or just garage piece. I can't imagine that car in 10 years would be worth a penny less.
I think people still expect it to be perfect and don't consider the $100k discount. It's been a combination of financing, insurance, and just whatever. But I agree, it's not going to lose money. It's already taken just about every drop of depreciation possible.
The type of super car you are selling is aggravation waiting to happen , reduce your stock and sell later and lower mileage cars , otherwise it will be one step forward two steps back for evermore!!

@@peterdelamareIs that on used cars? Dealer or private party?
@@joshsargent2759 Just traders. Private sales are caveat emptor. Buyer beware, no warranty.
If they want a warrantee, they should buy a new car.
Correct.
Sad to hear you are having a bad day, at least you can jump in the GT40 or Scub and throttle your troubles away 😊
That did help a little
Good idea to have a 3rd party warranty. I think the details matter but at least it's available soon.
Yup
Snap-On tools don't sell crystal balls. The reason it broke is Bad Luck. It's not a joke. I have told many people that in my 30 years of working in service. Bad Luck, shit happens whatever you want to call it.
Yup. Things can be working one moment and break the next. That's just how mechanical things are
Only an honest guy would have the reaction you had with the crappy phone call ...nice glass of Nebbiolo with your favourite pasta and all will be good with the world. the care!!
Thank you and great wine suggestion! As my wife said to me, you only feel bad because you actually care. I think that's accurate.
That blue 430 is amazing. Congrats on the sale.
Thank you
Good morning, do you have any information on a company called CPR classics out of California sounds like they owe people a lot of money and or cars.
Yes I'm aware of that situation
It’s crazy how fast Richard’s blue 430 sold this time around. Do you attribute that to the conversion or right person/right place/right time?
Somewhat luck but also we priced it aggressively. The conversion certainly helps too
I’ve owned and worked on exotics for 30 years. I can tell you, you will never own an older exotic where it works 100%. They’re temperamental and designed not to be used as a daily driver. Expect that every year you will spend a couple thousand on something. You want a daily? Buy a Honda.
The newer ones are pretty solid but still, stuff happens.
You mentioned Dealer to Dealer, do you guys sell on ACV Auctions?
Yes
Seems like a pretty transparent dealership. Ferraris are known for problems
Most old cars are.
I get it. You sell as is. That's it, no discussion.
Yeah. Many people don't understand what that means
How did you wind-up with that blue florida F430 again?
It was originally on consignment but didn't sell. This time we bought it outright.
Most third party warranties are garbage. Waste of money.
Most not all
At least you're not in software development dealing with giant corporations and government departments saying they expect to be paying 10% or less of current contracts and projects to be completed in days and weeks by "a handful of bright guys using AI prompts" instead of months by a team of dozens of full stack pros who live a very decent life on $1M+ incomes and are not interested in "how long will it take?" when their whole career is based on excellent design and development that results in quality systems, not junk that's a field beta for users to be frustrated with tech support and updates.
To be fair, I've been there in my previous career. Lol
@@normalguysupercar Yeah it looks really nice and for over 40% off what isimilar have sold for geez.
To your point you had the car inspected if it was a Texas buyer, so you have done everything possibly be forthright.
Well the Texas inspection is a joke so I wouldn't put any weight into that.
Love the jaguar is it a series 3 ?
I know nothing about it. That's Josh's deal. Lol
Geez. Buyers need to do the same homework when they purchase an everyday car!
Absolutely. You should always learn as much as possible before buying any car.
It’s a Ferrari. Man. They should have bought a Honda…don’t sweat it Dan..
Yeah
The type of super car you are selling is aggravation waiting to happen , reduce your stock and sell later and lower mileage cars , otherwise it will be one step forward two steps back for evermore!!
Those come with their own problems
Anybody buying a Ferrari shouldn't have to finance it.
Most buyers do.
I'm assuming a few quacks were said this day.
Lol yes
soo when can we see a fun video of that honda monkey bike!
Haha we've farted around on it a few times in other videos
I only make , embarrassingly $87,000 a year. I really wish I could afford a supercar.
Wtf are you talking about? How is 87000/year not enought?
You can easily buy a porsche or finance a 430 with that kind of money.
87k is most definitely not embarrassing.
@@normalguysupercar I’m 58, and am not mechanical inclined. If the Ferrari breaks, I’m not like you that can fix it.
@@normalguysupercar to me it is. On my best, I made 275k a year, so it is embarrassing to me
@@Arthur-ke9vz well when I was in tech I certainly made a whole lot more than what I do now. It's not always about the number, sometimes it's about what you want to be doing.
people these days make a job out of complaining.
Ok. Cool
@@normalguysupercar i did not mean you people buying products cheers
@@bobpusnik1590 ah ok. That changes the narrative a bit.
Would a hug and some Taco Bell help? We could play some video games too.
Lol it might
SQUANCHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Keep the scud sell the GT40 ✅
Well, I think it's the opposite that's gonna happen.
@@normalguysupercar maybe you might end up selling them both 😅😂
Anyway keep your head up, you’re doing a good job. Can’t please everybody 👍🏼🍻
You claim open and honest. But 16 year old Lamborghini SH has zero issues disclosed. Hard to believe on a 40k mile car of that age and make.
It does have issues. If you were actually interested and contact us about it we will gladly discuss those issues.
stop selling cars.. make money doing videos and appeal to a lagrger market.. where is the mustang videos.. where are the drving adventures,, USED CAR CHANEL NORMAL GUY NORMAL USED CAR GUY..
Making videos does NOT make anywhere near as much money as selling cars
What is that vintage beauty at 1:17??? Oh how I wish I had money for a 1950s Porsche 🥲
