Funny seeing a dealer complain about lowballing... then you bring your car to a dealer and they want to pay you 10% of what they'll sell it for/what its worth... I understand its their business, and they need to make money, but the lowballing is ALWAYS okay if its on their end. Its literally your job to lowball people, don't complain when others do it. 😂😂
Well, as we tell people that complain about our offer to them, feel free to sell it yourself then come with the cash.

I'm selling my 07 Corvette on FB and the low ball offers are insane! They ask if its available, I reply Yes it is, then I get crap saying its overpriced. That it'll never sell.. Well, its pending sale with a deposit close to the asking price. So many scammers or losers taking a shot at deperate sellers.

There’s a used car dealer in NH who got scammed selling a Vette. He told the whole story on his channel. Buyer was trying everything he could to scam him. Was originally trying to get him for 13k, but dealer was able to minimize the ‘loss’ to $1k off agreed upon price. Guy was even active in the Corvette club in his area. Dealer named him and showed his face. Guy ended up calling the police of the town dealer is in. because he was getting harassed so much. Police told dealer he didn’t do anything wrong. Dealer got his revenge and made up for the loss with the video revenue, just like Dan will with Special K.
I'm guessing that even if you entertained some of these low-ball offers, they would suddenly need to back out for some reason.

My son was dumb enough to TURO a mini cooper convertible in Hawaii. The top was down and he never operated it. Got a bill for repairs of the convertible top afterwards. Watch out for scammers on TURO

maybe I'm out of touch, but I dont think a 150k offer on a dealer 169k ask is a crazy lowball. Its only a 10% chop. And I also dont think the congrats guy was out of line. YOU sent him the unsolicited update that the car had sold, probably just to to rub his nose in it. But its all good, I still enjoy your videos...... lol

I’ve sold corvettes I’ve had and it’s mind boggling some of the pathetic offers people give. Like some people have the confidence to give the most pathetic offers and still hold their head high. I would feel embarrassed to show up and be like…hey I don’t have that money, I’m also on my own planet, here’s my offer. Haha

Isn't it the case that in the exotic rental car industry, you can file a claim against your insurance for a damaged or wrecked car, but will then have the policy denied when you go to renew it?

In the current climate and falling used vehicle prices, people think everything is a fire sale. Bring a Trailer is having a lot of NRM auctions lately and prices and demand are falling but not to a dangerous degree. There are a lot of vehicles on the market but with exotics it is always best to find a great example over a lower price.

I kinda understand the lowball offers. I've been shopping for a Porsche GT3 or possibly a Turbo S (2014-2019). The prices are all over the place for very similar specs/milage/condition. I swear some dealers are trying to make $60k profit on one car. Maybe hoping some rich dude will be drunk one night and just hit "buy it now"???

Hmmm. Not sure about that 458... on the low end they are going consistently at$170, on BAT. There's a ton of not accepted at 180k , which indicates it's hard to get more out of them in recent months, likely because prices are falling fast and owners aren't also ready to accept their cars have depreciated so much. However the guy just sounds generally sketchy so it's not an actual potential sale anyway.

I don't understand why people think cash makes it better for you. It's cash either way for you, whether it is wired from their checking account or a bank loan department.
Generally correct. Some banks are terrible to work with and take forever to pay. But otherwise yes it's all the same to us
offering "cash" is good because it means if you accept, then its a done deal. No risk of financing falling through, etc. But yeah, some people overdo it with talks of "crisp $100 bills" and stupid stuff like that......

enough with the internet myths on the earlier dct. Friend's 2010 has 128k miles on the original DCT. Mine's 18k after 7 years, and I didnt even know the dct fluid should be flushed until recently (dealers or master mechanic always tell me it's "lifetime"). On the other hand you get 2012-14 cars out there under 30k miles with transmission already replaced. Flush your fluids every year or two, warm up the car properly before gunning it and dont drive like a douche and your dct will probably be ok. And it's only 8k for sensors, or 17k for a complete refresh including seals bearings sensors and harnesses, no one does a 35k getrag replacement anymore except the F dealers who dont bother to rebuild any
