I hear you when it comes down to "Not being truly mythic" any more. I was blown away when I first saw the Kilts stats ... but now, now so much. At least, we have something to use other than Monster sets to deal out some DPS.
Totally agree that kilt doesn't feel mythic at all with the nerf . Zaan can do better in trials where u take damage and grothdar vs a lot of enemies .. so I dont think i will be using that
Was super excited when I found out about death dealers fete until I realized most of the leads are found in cyrodill. I don't pvp at all, last time I went there I got trapped and had to look up how to get the fuck out of there.
So the “thrassian stranglers” grants an increase 1150 spell damage but reduces health by 6000??? That sounds horrible. Zero incentive to run that piece. Was considering grinding for it but once I discovered the major downsides I decided not to
that's a lot of power when up. and with health values reaching what they can in today's game, it isn't as risky as it used to be. but if that downside is too much for ya, then by all means do something else.
I really wish they would stop adding more sources of crit damage like harpooner’s. I get that its a good way of making a set feel more powerful because big numbers go brr, but the way the meta is right now, it feels like its stack crit and crit damage and thats it. Theres no variety at all really. I get that pve’ers always gravitate toward whatever gives the best numbers, but right now, especially in blackwood, nothing but crit builds stand a chance unless youre stam with relequin, and even then you have that set, and then stack as much crit and crit damage as possible. The way they have taken the meta the past two patches has me pretty bummed out about where the game is going this year even as I am excited to make off meta builds
yep, they keep nerfing crit chance because it is a "problem" but then add more crit damage, essentially making that crit chance more valuable. seems to be a strange way of going about it.
@@skinnycheeks super strange way. Id rather crit chance just go back up on normal sets so we get the benefits of the crit damage without having to build mother’s sorrow and medusa on every meta or near meta mage
@@skinnycheeks just thinking that it adds another layer of complexity within the game that may turn off some people who are not used to switching skills or gear between fights - Especially for us console players :(
@@SS-nt2oo yeah I can see that. On one hand I like the diversity and different setups being BiS for different situations. But I understand that is rough without saved gear presets.
So if I understand right, this patch it's better to use M + 5 + 5 + 1 (Mythic, Set, Set, 1 piece from another set) instead of a typical Monster + 2 set...or am I way off-base here?
I don't mind the ease too much, though I do agree. after the hype of the 1st week or so they become pretty easy to grab. and yeah i'd like to see them as a little more gamechanging, but they have been taking a more cautious route recently
@@justh3r338 the helmet one looks very good IMO for PVP But save for pale order these mythical are horrible for all around PVE content (kilt seems good tbh but not worth it).
I don't like the items being extremely over-powered. The anti-player monsters at ZoS would quickly nerf it into uselessness like they did with Thrassian Stranglers. The kilt seems fine the way it is. Hopefully they don't touch it. What constitutes as "direct damage" anyway?
Not really. The downside of most mythics make them unusable like malacaths band of brutality, the 16% increase to damage is nice but 50% crit damage decrease just makes it meh. The only one I see being okay is ring of the pale order and only if you solo
while certainly a negative vs if it was light, definitely still worth it. you lose a little crit chance but you gain max resources from your undaunted passives and the stats on it very very much outweigh the negatives of running a medium piece
@@skinnycheeks Don't you also need to run a heavy piece then to get max stats from undaunted? So you'll be loosing 2 light pieces in exchange for something that is difficult in most situations to sustain other than parse dummy humping to get those mythic stats. Don't care how good you are, you ain't getting thru vSCP HM or vCT HM with out getting smacked around. And many boss fights there are unavoidable hits regularly from the boss, vSC2, vSW, for example.
@@brianfox771 who says you have to run a heavy also and max out the stats? Still get a boost for just the medium. And who says you have to run this on every fight? No1 said you should slot it on every encounter.
they aren't very "mythic" if everyone knows about them and can easily get them. For once, I wish they would have hidden mythics and make it difficult to actually get them.
Instead of every 1 second it shkuld be 0.2 seconds the build up is way to slow an cant keep buff up soloing in sr or any gold grinds or even spell scar its not possible to use it so basic game play kilt is in the trash pale order be better it sucks 😡

I'll be using it still for sure on fights that I can. but will be one of those items, similar to siroria, that I only use on fights that call for it.
Cant wait to try that kilt with my stamplar to see what it does
Great video man. Can't wait to finally farm my Wading Kilt and Gaze of Sithis
Thank u! Same
This feels like the update 31 iteration of the wading kilt tbf. Almost got the Drake's Rush treatment.

What are your thoughts on the Death Dealing Fete mythic for stam dps? Specifically a stamplar.
Very good for a lot of content - I put a note in the description and did a separate vid covering that item if ya wanna check it out

Do you think that the kilt will be the thing in trials? I seems to be quite promising compared to thrassian and pale order ring.
Will very much depend on the specific fight but yes for some fights it will be very good
which trials are BiS to use the kilt? i was thinking vAS only tbh.
vSS, vCR, the new trial, vKA you don’t get a lot of direct damage.
@@-hunt-6225 thanks, just realized that most of the damage from vAS, vKA, vCR and vRG is all AOE damage or DoTs
@@daluciano aoe dmg can be direct dmg too though, so don't look at that as your disqualifier. and you'll want to look at it per fight, not per trial.

Many are already running 2 separate crit monster pieces this patch and nit using the second piece bonus.
just depends on the fight really. there will be situations where, yes you're proposed way is best. but others where you still want a monster set.
For BG’s or PVP what’s a good sets to tie with Clever Alchemist 🤔 CP375 and never did trials nor arena
I’ve been running pariah with it on my stam DK and I like it a lot.
Damn and forgot on a Mag Sorc 🤔 been trying to get ideas together.
Isn't there a new malacaths band?
it isn't going to be good in pve unless you have a really poorly put together build with very low crit chance
What happened to the Ring of Malachi
never heard of her
