- I have the opportunity to renovate an old bunkhouse on a country property near Yarck. The bones are good but the bats have moving in. First thing is to remove the Bats and make sure they cannot get back in.
What I liked about this video is the methodical way you went about getting rid of those bats. Gently and assertively

Great clean out without chemicals or killing the bats!
I even carried al the ones that could not fly to the nearest gum tree. No rabies here so pretty safe.
I’m sure you know how beneficial bats really are, isn’t bat guano the most expensive fertilizer around? I used to be freaked out by bats until I started watching some Australian RUclips channels about bats. Looks like a pretty good project there Simon, right up your alley! You haven’t done a bunkhouse yet so I’m excited to see what you’ve got in mind, should be a good one!!!
Except they carry Hendra Virus and sometimes Rabies here in Australia.
We often (once a week) have to give a person a course of post bite/ scratch vaccine here in ED, usually like plumbers, sparkies, aircon guys & occasionally a kid.

Probably. I tried to disturb as little as possible. Once I cleaned it all out I hit it with a pressure washer.
