You HAVE to ignore the negative comments. There will always be complainers that have no life. And people you have to remember Amanda was a chef by trade. Let her have her dream. Love your channel. ❤
I love that you started the cottage project....you saved the building and are doing an amazing job with it....👍. The kitchen in the chateau will come in time and is useable for now. Great drone shots.....your place looks amazing with the snow. Thank you!!!
Amanda & Lincoln I think personally when you both do your projects they are done with perfection. I can’t wait until I see what you both do in the kitchen cause it definitely will be epic. I know it’s early but the Holidays our around the corner so I just wanted to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving🇺🇸
In other chateaus I fast forward the commercials. However, I stay for your commercials. You two have the best sense of humour which comes out in your commercials.
What you’ve taken on continues to induce panic attacks in me … but your sense of humor and indefatigable energy, creative and otherwise, make me a believer that very soon now, you’ll be reaping great rewards for all of your efforts. Rooting you both on with bated breath! ❤❤
The drone footage was so beautiful! And..yes..some of us understand wanting to do the cottage before it disappears. Someday both the cottage and your kitchen will be wonderful. It all takes time.😊
I agree that the beautiful cottage needed your attention first before tackling the chateau kitchen. I love your outbuildings. They are stunning and I love the way you take care of everything. Love the baguette delivery man and your drone videos and everything you share with us. ❤
Beautiful stunning aerial shots on the Vlog today and it’s always such a joy to see your cats. Thanks for sharing. I always love your videos. Feels like I’m catching up with old friends.
How pretty with the snow!!! So beautiful there! Your painted window looks good. What a great size window! I love how the cats look out the window, and yes, the cat does resemble that actor lol. I love Lincoln delivering bagets ! I'd love to have one of those stoves you're talking about. You could fit so much in there!!! Thanks for sharing, and if you celebrate over there, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!❤
I totally get where you’re coming from with your kitchen it’s the tools of your trade. Making the choice to do the cottage so you had a workable kitchen while the remodel happened made perfect sense to me. But I am also of the belief that it’s totally your choice how you proceed to do what suits you best. Much respect and love your videos.
So enjoyed this video 😊 especially loved the nosey around your kitchen! You’re doing so well in the cottage 😊 the donkeys seem tamer and friendlier every video bless their hearts ❤
Love your videos. You are both so funny. I like Lincoln’s baguette salesman disguise. The music is so hip and chill. The drone footage is beautiful. Thank you for a very interesting episode. From Stuart, Florida 🇺🇸
It must have stormed just recently through all of France. Every show from France that I've watched for the past two or three days have included storms.
I agree with you regarding french refrigerators being on the small side. However, having lived in New York and Boston (where kitchen space is at a premium) for 35 years prior to moving to France, I got used to grocery shopping every 3 to 4 days. Like you said, food is usually fresher. Cheers-
I appreciate that you are looking forward to a new kitchen, but I am super keen to see the cottage reno. It has the potential that appeals to me. Good luck with both endeavours. BTW your drone footage is superb. (You are correct to give Baguette Man the shove. He looks very dodgy to me and has the potential to show up anywhere anytime. 😉)
We just redid our kitchen last year (30 year old kitchen) and the best thing I did was pay extra for a "magic corner" pull out shelf in a blind corner. Lots of storage in there. You're doing great.
I certainly get the awkward kitchen! I have little space on the countertop but more then I did at one time. No storage for small appliances. I would kill for a large pantry were I had room to store all the junk!
I was listening and thought the kitchen situation must be hard if you like to cook and you have kids at home. But I am thankful for what you have. But most of all I can’t get over the size of the pear out on the counter. Take care and happy thanksgiving
I remember way back when you discussed the kitchen/hallway/removing walls project and thinking what a giant undertaking it will be. The way you are doing things, you will have a place of respite to run off to when the kitchen redo becomes too much and you need to regain your sanity.
To all the watchers that havent subcribed....just do it please. These guys are working hard to.produce great vidoes evert week and they are so close to 50k subs...come on..
Amanda and Lincoln don't listen to The grapes that other people have. You knew going into your new home that you would have projects that unveiled surprises. How much I enjoy watching you uncover and rebuild your new space. Maybe I'm as sick as Amanda but I've watched each episode at least five times. I know it's crazy but I find Amanda's voice very fun and soothing and you people live real lives which is what I can relate to. It's realistic for things to go wrong, it's realistic to have building projects with surprises, it's realistic to just want to sit on the couch and eat fruit loops. I've experienced all those things too and so I'm here to cheer you on and to say please keep making episodes because I really really enjoyed them.
Bonjour Amanda and Lincoln, I get why you didn't do the kitchen first, when you have so many more pressing things to get to, but I am looking forward to the day you do. The drone shots with the first snowfall are absolutely beautiful, I have a very young mommy cat and three babies running around my yard, I am buying another outdoor house for them, I would love to trap and get them to a shelter, but on the off chance I can't get them all at once, I don't want to hurt the babies. I will try as the babies get older. Thanks for showing us the kitchen. Love from N.Y.
Mad cook and home baker here. I am fortunate to have a number of chefs in my family, but I am regretful I never did any formal training. I was offered an apprenticeship when I was working in administration at a resort some years ago, but the radical reduction in pay wasn't something I could justify at the time. All of that rambling is to say... I understand Amanda's frustrations and hopes for her dream kitchen. I can't wait to see the plan and for it to come to fruition. I especially hope you get that cooking range you wish for, but do consider the Italian options. I understand they rival the French ones at a much better price point.
Wow, another beautiful episode. I appreciated the kitchen tour. I like the paint that you applied to the refrigerator panel. If existing cabinets were painted wouldn't the space be easier to live in for the short term? I'm happy to see your efforts to restore and maintain the cottage and outbuildings. My step mother's farm in New England had some rustic outbuildings (some improved, one with an apartment which she called "the condo" and a big red barn). One owner and a few storms later, today they are all gone. The 250 year old house survives fortunately.
You’ve accomplished so much! And it’s all beautiful! - Repairing your village of cottages and barns looks formidable, and is certainly, important. I’m glad to be along for the ride. I always enjoy the vantage point - and the humor thrown in for fun! Thank you for sharing your delightful and myriad interests. Keep an eye on that baguette sales-guy! And, Happy Thanksgiving to you!🍁
Beautiful scenery with equally beautiful music! Job really well done. I can hardly wait for the kitchen project. I'm sure your vision will be perfect. Thanks for a great video and a peak into your kitchen. Though I don't understand what's wrong with having Hellmans mayo on hand.
I totally get and also agree with your order of projects... no need to defend them with me! As an aside, I am as passionate about outbuildings as about anything, and love seeing them fixed up! Glad you're dealing with those annoying baguette salesmen. 😂😂😂
Looking rather chilly I must say. If you get snowed in and are desperate for a laugh, have a look at Drain Cleaning Australia which popped up on my screen a few months ago (who knows how or why). Really makes me laugh when I'm up in the middle of the night with insomnia!! Stay warm
Keep it up, y'all are the best...humor, beautiful footage and animals!!!!❤❤❤❤ yes, Pancake is probably a Pukka. ( watch 'Harvey' with Jimmy Stewart) thanks for you videos!! I am excited about all the renovations!
Thanks for showing us your kitchen and it was not well designed. I’m sure you’ll create a beautiful, workable space. I love looking in your refrigerator. Whenever we travel I always want to go to grocery stores just to see what’s available. That was a beautiful snow!
Not sure I understand why the renovating of the kitchen wasn’t doable after watching Philip and Anna do it - “How To Renovate A Chateau……”. And we actually did the same thing in our home. You set up a temporary kitchen in another room for a few months (microwave, hot plate, mini fridge, small table and chairs) and it’s really no big deal.
You are probably planning on doing this already.. but perhaos save some of your old kitchen cabinets for clean dry storage elsewhere, like a basement or outbuilding. I loved the look in your frig. Fun to see the French products, the American foods you must have, and what a chef buys.😊
Easy tip: put a kitchen towel under your cutting board that will keep it from wobbling or slipping around. That’s an old chef/sous chef trick. It’s been awhile since I’ve been in a professional kitchen but I think we might have dampened the towels too…
The kitchen may be ugly but your view and life looks lovely. It's all your perspective... I have an ugly and dysfunctional kitchen from the 60's. It sucks. I can appreciate your frustration....
I get it. But when I couldn't stand my kitchen any longer, I tore it apart and redid everything myself. Took me a month to finish the whole thing. But it was worth it.
I agree that I would rather look at a distressed wall than the 80’s tile in the kitchen. Have you considered painting over the patterned tile with a nice darker blue for the short temporary waiting period?
Your Chanel is great! I did see one more thing that is annoying about your kitchen - the fridge door opens the wrong way, against the wall instead of open to the room, ugh, can’t wait to see you create your kitchen!
Your plan of action to renovate the cottage first seems wise. The chateau kitchen space is quite large and affords you the opportunity for an efficient layout.
I love your vlogs. I am (and have been) a little surprised that you want an even larger footprint kitchen than the current one. There looks like plenty of square footage that is laid out badly. I've been in large and small ones, and the large ones just force you to walk and walk, which is inefficient and bugs me. I definitely agree about no laundry in the cooking area. And - you do your jobs in the order you choose! It's your house!
Yes! Pancake does look like Barry Keoghan in the most attractive way. Would you share your you are cool music credits? Greetings from The Canadian Prairies
In the event you need to replace tires why not purchase a set of all season tires for the primary automobile. They are more expensive but you really need tires for all seasons. If you were to have an accident without proper tires for the road conditions you will likely get a ticket. I love your channel and your compassion for animals.
I have had the same dodgy baguette delivery man plague me here in rural Wisconsin. I agree my cats could easily make better baguettes than he can. Always love your ads. ❤😊
Trying to get in my comment in early. Been an avid subscriber. I've been in the design and construction industry for 25 years. Please don't pull down the wall, You'll sacrifice double sided storage which you could turn into a butlers kitchen/laundry using the existing water and drainage. Yeah Hellman's mayo, Heinz ketchup? Just for a small fix put w bath towel under your cutting board. It must be a European thing to have a combination washer dryer in the kitchen maybe for only one water line and drainage? I thought that was odd as well. Your dream kitchen is on the horizon Connecticut had it's first snow, not much but schools were on a delay beginning for the school buses. Hmm are there buses for children going to school in France?
I need to tell you...I just love Lincoln as baguette guy so much. he should be included as much as possible. lol
Drop everything immediately to watch Amanda and Lincoln! ❤😊
Oh yeah!
I WAS in the process of watching cat videos when this popped up, cats'll wait😊!!!
YES!
As always, a great video with humour, animals and beautiful aerial shots. Keep doing what you’re doing, you have many fans.
Thank you very much!
And more importantly it is your home and you are enjoying the journey.
You HAVE to ignore the negative comments. There will always be complainers that have no life. And people you have to remember Amanda was a chef by trade. Let her have her dream. Love your channel. ❤
The two of you have such an artistic eye and great sense of humor!
I love that you started the cottage project....you saved the building and are doing an amazing job with it....👍. The kitchen in the chateau will come in time and is useable for now. Great drone shots.....your place looks amazing with the snow. Thank you!!!

In other chateaus I fast forward the commercials. However, I stay for your commercials. You two have the best sense of humour which comes out in your commercials.
Thank you!
I run the ads to generate the extra income for the channel, but I usually skip the sponsor ads, not Amanda & Lincolns though😂❤!!!
What you’ve taken on continues to induce panic attacks in me … but your sense of humor and indefatigable energy, creative and otherwise, make me a believer that very soon now, you’ll be reaping great rewards for all of your efforts. Rooting you both on with bated breath! ❤❤

The snow looks lovely.
Personally, I love the beauty of your videos and look forward to them each week. Happy Holidays to your family.
Oh My! I am so glad to hear that you like to look in others refrigerators too! I thought I was the only one!
😂
I agree that the beautiful cottage needed your attention first before tackling the chateau kitchen. I love your outbuildings. They are stunning and I love the way you take care of everything. Love the baguette delivery man and your drone videos and everything you share with us. ❤
Thank you so much!
It's still a hearty kitchen despite its dysfunctional surfaces. It will bring so much joy once it's redone. You will appreciate it that much more
Beautiful scenes! Stay warm!
Beautiful drone footage!
Lovely and interesting as always--those drone shots. And I think you're nuts about the cat. Watch out for that baguette man.
Beautiful stunning aerial shots on the Vlog today and it’s always such a joy to see your cats. Thanks for sharing. I always love your videos. Feels like I’m catching up with old friends.

Love your videos. Excited for the new cottage and kitchen designs.
Stunning drone shots!
Thanks a lot!
Beautiful video looks like the scene of a mystery movie.
Your home and grounds are beautiful despite the state of progress. Thanks for the update.

Love your humor, look forward to updates on cottage it going to be awesome. Kitchen is going to be a dream your California fan .Happy Holidays

The simple pleasures of the poor: Saturday night cocktails with Amanda and Lincoln. Thanks
But I'm sure you're "rich' in ways you've probably never considered.
All the best to you and your loved ones!
I am so looking forward to when you start the kitchen as I know it is going to be great and yes, Pancake does look like Barry Keoghan!

I enjoy your beautiful videos so much, and have loved watching your viewership grow (so well deserved).
A dysfunctional kitchen equals a cranky cook. Full steam ahead
My Girl for having a jar of Hellmans in the fridge! ❤
Any chance you can show us some Christmas markets? or antique stalls in france before your off for the holidays? Would be lovely to see
Christmas holidays are in one month 🙂 I think Lincoln and Amanda will have plenty of time before !

the donkeys are so adorable
I don't know Barry but I hope someone sends this to him!
Barry is the guy who kills a whole family in a château lol So, be careful with Pancake, Amanda !!!
@@heliedecastanet1882whaaat ????

Glad you're dealing with those annoying baguette salesmen. 😂😂😂
Such beautiful scenery at the end of your video.

Omg..yes! Pancake does resemble Barry! 😂 It's the slightly cross eyed gaze, lol. Both cute btw!
Keep it up, y'all are the best...humor, beautiful footage and animals!!!!❤❤❤❤ yes, Pancake is probably a Pukka. ( watch 'Harvey' with Jimmy Stewart) thanks for you videos!! I am excited about all the renovations!
I love the big black cupboard in your kitchen it neat . The Snow looks lovely with the Autumn leaves on the trees .
Thanks for showing us your kitchen and it was not well designed. I’m sure you’ll create a beautiful, workable space. I love looking in your refrigerator. Whenever we travel I always want to go to grocery stores just to see what’s available. That was a beautiful snow!
Absolutely stunning 😍
Snow looks beautiful, but here in Mass, I only feel that winter dread.
So you're saying you have a pot closet...😂😂 Fantastic updates, thanks for sharing
Hmm, maybe I should do that. Too many for my large pot drawer... lol
You need to publish a find a “Where's the Baguette Man” book! Lincoln is a scream. So deadpan.
It’s a huge deal for us. We’ve done it before and know what’s involved.

Yes. I know. I was just pointing out how uneven the counters are.
The kitchen may be ugly but your view and life looks lovely. It's all your perspective... I have an ugly and dysfunctional kitchen from the 60's. It sucks. I can appreciate your frustration....
We live very rural. We always have rope shovel and saws hand saw and possibly our battery power chain saw.
Love little marble !
I get it. But when I couldn't stand my kitchen any longer, I tore it apart and redid everything myself. Took me a month to finish the whole thing. But it was worth it.
Yes!
Quite annoying! It can't be changed :(
You should finish the cottage and live there during the winter. Warmer and smaller to heat.
BEST
Your plan of action to renovate the cottage first seems wise. The chateau kitchen space is quite large and affords you the opportunity for an efficient layout.
That is the best butter on the planet!
I think you have a plan, even when what is seen doesn't make sense! I think you are doing well.
I love your vlogs. I am (and have been) a little surprised that you want an even larger footprint kitchen than the current one. There looks like plenty of square footage that is laid out badly. He does!!!😂😂😂
As a foodie i agree, that space could be so much better. Might be a ways off yet but have you finalized plans and design (other than the la cornue 😁)?
Yes! Pancake does look like Barry Keoghan in the most attractive way. Would you share your you are cool music credits? Greetings from The Canadian Prairies
your cottage is going to be wonderful.
Oooo your trees look beautiful with their icing sugar dusting of snow ❄
I think you may be right about Pancake! 😂
So I’m not crazy!
❤
In the event you need to replace tires why not purchase a set of all season tires for the primary automobile. They are more expensive but you really need tires for all seasons. If you were to have an accident without proper tires for the road conditions you will likely get a ticket. I love your channel and your compassion for animals.
Based on past videos and where you visit family. You can handle the snow far better than most. Just please keep it there 😂
Have you looked into heating and cooling via geothermal? You have the real estate.
Will you reuse any of the cabinets in the cottage?
I have had the same dodgy baguette delivery man plague me here in rural Wisconsin. I agree my cats could easily make better baguettes than he can. Always love your ads. ❤😊
Hope you are recycling some of the kitchen cabinets for the cottage…especially that pantry
What about the meat choices in France?
Trying to get in my comment in early. Been an avid subscriber. I've been in the design and construction industry for 25 years. Please don't pull down the wall, You'll sacrifice double sided storage which you could turn into a butlers kitchen/laundry using the existing water and drainage. If you're keeping the stairs you'll lose all your heating upward. The list goes on. 🥰
We’ll be reusing the old cabinets in the new kitchen. The current space doesn’t work for us.
