I know a lot of people give the second game crap for not being scary, but i really appreciated the different kind of horror that can come from that type of abuse and the guilt and trauma survivors can face from it. the parts where he is still human is just as every bit scary and unsettling as the main parts can be.
@@dimitrescu182 Same dude. I can get over the fear I feel from both games over time with every play through but the school sections in Outlast 2 are just so terrifying even when nothing is happening in them.
I respect it even tho i prefer the story in the 1st game. The first pushed boundaries with highly explicit violence, torture, & death. This one pushed them yet again with religious, irreligious, & sexual abuse themes. Also Loutermilch's monster form is terrifying imo, on par with Chris, but in a different way. Nothing quite compares the dread of being trapped in that wide open dark room with waist high water & Chris searching for you, but being stuck in a library maze w Loutermilch is not too far away.
“You know… Shame is a gift from God, to let you know right from wrong. And what you want is very wrong. Go home and pray.” I’m not even Christian and I’m moral enough to believe that God would want nothing to do with Louter.
TBH he always made my skin crawl, even moreso then as the "Demon" that chases Blake around - Loutermilch's demeanor is just so transparently disgusting. Also; a video on Simon Peacock might be interesting!
I think it represents Blake's mind being 'taken over' by the god that the cultists worship, which in reality is probably Blake having a lethal aneurysm.
It's the shockwaves from the radio tower set up by Murkoff. This is why everyone in this place was a crazy cultist. The shockwaves messed with their mind and showed them "dreams" like for Blake it was the school. As you progress through the game Blake gets crazier and crazier to the point that in the end he sees Lynn having a baby and the sun exploding while none of that is actually happening. Him in the school is just a delusional because of the shockwaves. This was actually an experiment done by Murkoff, so he is being chased, but only in his mind.
You're actually being chased. It's like, whenever you see the demon during the school parts chasing you, you're actually being chased by someone in real life
From what I know the game really has a obsession with birth and not to mention the Christian’s killed a women for being pregnant but it’s mention she forced onto, same with Jess as father (whatever his name is) Killed Jess as a cover up as his lust so my idea for the events of the game Christians were trying to kill Lynn’s baby cause she was probably g.raped by one of them therefore wanting to kill it to make sure there god isn’t pissed off with what they have done which is the heretics are making sure she births it as it would kill everyone end game and piss off god either though they would die from the giant light at the end of the game as god realized someone broke his rules

Outlast 2's school sections are scarier than 1 for me

@@starset4life175 it should have just been the main setting
I have to admit, the monster that represents Father Loutermilch has been one of the freakiest things I’ve seen in a horror game

I see people like Loutermilch on every episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Father Loutermilch is the most terrifying and underrated character in the whole of the Outlast Franchise!
some one might need to call the police on that priest, because he joined the diddy party
Nice vid, enjoyed it as always.

“Do I need to call your parents? Do I need to call your father?”

How do we die in the school sections is it like in re8 we're we have a heart attack in reality or are we actually being chased
Actually being chased

Why would killing her redeem that sin?
How did he become a Monster?
He's not a monster (physically), it's Blakes minds interpretation of how Loutermilch really is
It's kinda of a hallucination for Blake, or more of a nightmare for him
