    I would imagine the 6k round start was a failed kara (either back mega fist or the legendary roundstart pot bust), in which case the only thing needed is just more practice.
    Either way, floor 9/10 potemkins are the most terrifying opponents you could go up against because they play simultaneously like they haven't played in months and are trying to re-learn the controls but also like they know what you've had for breakfast. Like you'll see them back up, hammer fall break in place, and then you get counter hit by kara forward mega fist, and then they whiff the pot buster, and this goes back and forth until you're both on a sliver of hp at which point they send forth the kai barrier and it's over for you

    damn this replay vulture channel is turning into less of a replay vulture channel, and more of an extremely educational GGST channel.
    Not to put any disrespect on your early videos, i still found them just as educational. but the Voiceover definitely adds a whole more to the video. this would actually allow people to listen to it while they're playing other games or doing other things on a different screen while they can't read the subtitles.
    thanks, great videos as always.

    2:01 That's a true 50/50 tho since the guard crush prevents fuzzying. Since Potbuster is throw invul it's a totally valid option to represent there, and he could still get clipped by 2S if here tried to tech throw, jump, BMF, etc. The damage he gained was about equal (if not a bit more) than gio would get off her 2S there, and gives him oki (although he messed it up) so the risk reward is there too. Also at some point you gotta fight back since her throw just loops the situation anyways. As long as he doesn't do that every time I think it's fine.

    • @GGSTFraudGameplay
      @GGSTFraudGameplay  5 месяцев назад +3

      It's definitely a valid choice to represent rarely but the reward off of guessing right on a throw would have been very simillar but with much less risk, especially so close to the corner and with that much meter.

    6:52 Side note, if you are trying to catch a jump (which is what j.p was for in our pot’s case I assume, or maybe as misinput megafist, which I beg isn’t the case as explained by our commentator), a 6p would have been better, as you could go for a heat knuckle/tackle on hit, or if blocked you could punish a mash by charging a flick. If they’re in the corner and they go for a faster button, Garuda is risky but worth it.
    For the chance Pot was going for megafist to catch them blocking low, an immediate j.d can lead to a close range reset, and if blocked can still be mostly safe against characters that don’t have fast buttons (the blocking part of j.d I’m not exactly 100% certain about considering I don’t main Pot.)

    One extremely simple thing that's helpful for beginner (and some intermediate) players is minimize walking back (and backdash). The advice is less helpful in airdashers, but not entirely useless. Some do it unintentionally because they feel safer, when in reality, it actually losing them what they want (space).

    • @GGSTFraudGameplay
      @GGSTFraudGameplay  5 месяцев назад

      Afaik a 360 motion registers as a buster as well, due to how GGST (and BlazBlue as well) reads inputs a 270 is also enough to trigger this.
      The reason this is valuable is that it allows you to skip the initial 6, that way you can get a small microwalk in right after the input buffer ends for more range as well as a harder to read animation on the buster!
      There's a really good video on it called "How to Kara Potemkin Buster the Optimal Way", I highly recommend checking it out!
