- I saved my game at the inn for the first, second and fourth area. In my opinion the impact the raytracing has on ps5 performance is not worth it at all, it ran way smoother on no raytracing and it still looks just as good.
First Area:
Raytracing Off 0:00
Raytracing On 0:54
Second Area:
Raytracing Off 1:45
Raytracing On 2:07
Third Area:
Raytracing Off 2:28
Raytracing On 3:12
Fourth Area:
Raytracing Off 3:58
Raytracing On 5:16
Fifth Area:
Raytracing Off 6:35
Raytracing On 7:02 - Игры
Hey guys I understand I haven’t made a good comparison video and next time I do a video like this I will make sure to add side by side comparisons, with zoom ins for details etc. when I initially uploaded the video I felt like I definitely rushed it and made it really hard to compare with the long clips but that will not be the case for the next one. Time stamps are in the description, the framerates for no raytracing seems to be in the 35-45fps range while with raytracing its in the 30-35fps range sometimes even lower
With what setup though?
You mean 50 -60 with no ray traycing and 30-40 with raytracing.
50 -70 is not possible ✌🏻
@@whitewolf1054 oh really? I was just going off of what my friend told me when i told him to test it because his monitor shows him the fps
@@FXRain the game has no 70fps on ps5 Performance mode can reach maximum 60 than i mean my friend
@@whitewolf1054i thought frame rate was unlocked so technically it could go above 60
As a tip, it would be good if you put half of the screen with the option activated and the other half deactivated so that the differences can be better observed. 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes im sorry when i uploaded i watched other comparison videos on youtube and realised my flaws in this video, next time I will make sure when i do this type of video again it will be to the standard of the bigger channels 😊
It’s all good and all but I got used to RT❤ I tried without RT seen the boost in FPS but the immersion is not the same
I agree, I did a playthrough with it on and off and honestly. This game is so pretty that I’m keeping it on 😭
What are u guys playing at now with the update any suggestions?
Rather have performance than RT. A welcome update that will make me buy the game.
This doesn't improve the performance a lot. They wanna improve the performance in a future update.
@@Grapefruit5000 First reports seem positive though? i'll take 40-60 with much more pleasure over 30-45
Nah battal looks f**king ugly without RT
doesn't improve the performance, but you can see a lot of difference. I prefer to play with more fps. 30 fps just is not acceptable for PS5!!
@@BlackCappBrazy turning RT off give more fps it is Easy to see and feel but yeah it looks way different RT on looks way better
how to activate ray tracing on ps5 ??
They just need to fix the npcs phasing into existence right in front of you. Thats been my only gripe. Since im old and have only played consoles, im use to framerate issues, but the npcs just materializing in front of me really throws me off. Great game though, just needs a bit more tuning.
I feel thats a measure of contention for the cpus to not die lol because it happens on pc too even at max settings
Nice video! I'm glad to see that the performance is better, I'm curious to see it on Series X when it comes out.
Thank you and yes performance is definitely a lot better! However i’m confused why this update didn’t come out for series x
Unfortunately, this is often the case on xbox!@@FXRain
@@FXRainprobably cause Microsoft takes longer to approve updates compared to Sony and valve
It's because xbox has that series s I'm sure. Optimization difficulties
Yeah, this could probably be the cause @@ihatebeingtickled
So whats the best way to play on ps5? Ray tracing off, motion blur off and variable mode? I tried 30fps mode but it looked like 20fps
Yeah raytracing off and variable mode is probably the way to go if you want the best experience, I would probably leave motion blur on due to some ghosting I saw when i was playing
@@FXRainI just picked it up today for ps5! Can’t wait to play! I never played this type of game before but with all the great reviews I knew I had to!! Is it real hard. Any tips?
Thanx man helped alot !!!!
Frame Rate Locked 30 FPS with RT OFF, feels better ?
Its a preference to be honest, if you feel like you want a more stable framerate then 30fps locked is the way to go but if you want higher fps with a lot a lot of changes in framerate then variable is the one for you, in the end you should compare it for yourself and see which one you like better 😊
is the game playable now, after the update or not?
It's been perfectly playable on PS5 since launch. The option to turn off RT for a slight fps boost is just nice to have. If a performance patch in the future makes it so that I can turn on RT while having the fps I'm experiencing right now (I'm estimating around 45) I will be satisfied.
Brother why when i play also with or without RT off or on is the same the frame rate when i rotate the camera so droped and slow ? Did i miss somthing? Iam on ps5
There are a lot of places that can drop the framerate a lot in both options but rt off in less demanding areas is much better than rt on
If ray tracing is off, does it affect the resolution? Does it increase the resolution?
I believe the resolution is fixed, its just the framerate that changes
@@FXRain tanks 🙏🏻i love playing 30fps with 4k native resolution, for me more like cinematic
what am i looking at? i don’t see any differences
Was RT on before the patch?
Yep
Yes they just added an option to remove it for better performance
Ray Tracing feels too glowy, but left it on since its not gonna make more fps it feels the same frames either or
There are was more FPS , when RT IS turned off
It seems to me that they removed a lot of NPCs, which helped performance
thats rediculous that a game has to remove npc to run a little better, hope capcom fixes their shi
so without RT you goes to 30 to 50/60 ?
Yeh something like that, it could tend to even drop to around 40 frames on much more demanding areas or fights with all the particles from mages and sorcerers
It looks like a ps4 game on my series x after this update. How can i uninstall it?
Ofc I would go for rt off if you would get a stable improved framerate but I’m so used to 30fps and much better visuals tru er that I would rather go for the capped 30fps
Motion blurr was the only thing I felt needed changing. The image looks so much worse with ray tracing off and lowered fps. Idk why I even bought a PS5 if I'm going to play 30fps with piss poor graphics.
I will buy it when runs at 60fps.
So in other words rt on isnt worth it
Indeed that is the case
After playing the game with RT for 50 hours, turning it off is a very obvious downgrade. However, right now it's worth doing for the extra frames imo.
Yea I seen a difference this morning I'm more of a performance mode kind of guy
And that's why this game until they fix things. I have no longer put trust in buying games day 1. Unless They are in a better state than this
I See No difference
I think ray tracing looks better
Ray tracing kinda a stupid gimmick at this point that tanks performance. Just not worth it on current gen console.
Game runs like shit, im turning RT on so I can have a pretty looking shit😊
The NPCs pop-in lmfaooo
What about the framerate in variable mode without RT?
Better?
Yes my friend tested it on his monitor and said the framerate is in the 35-45 range without rt most of the time, and 30-35 with rt
@@FXRain50-70 without RT? I find that hard to believe
@@gleam6370 thats what my friend said so idk but personally it did feel like it was above 60 at some points
@@FXRainmonitors are shit at measuring fps
@@derglitch9511 you’re right, now that I’ve seen another video comparing the fps it definitely was far off, they showed with rt off its 35-45 fps and rt on 30-35 fps, maybe it looks smoother to me because I have vrr? Idk
