I absolutely understand your feelings and the strong wishes precipitated by them.My own place in life appears to be the same as yours. Old age and the infirmities that accompany it are unfortunately a natural part of the aging process . I too am heartened by this remarkable couple as they continue to grip this ailing remainder of a building and all the history it contains and strongly haul it into the present. At this time we seem to be living with a lot of doom ,disaster and despair being fed to us .This young couple with their commitment to what is right and excellent do much to lift my spirits .❤

I was expecting tiles, but after seeing that you were doing Venetian plaster (Pastellone) on the walls and floor, I am a big fan. No grout lines, one continuous surface throughout and super durable. Also a very elegant look for a bathroom, very similar to terrazzo flooring. I can't wait to see the finished product! As always, excellent work all!

I'm excited to see the end result, but I would have used natural stone from the area for the floor. especially to have a contrast with the walls.
Also I always do silicone in the edges between floor and walls to prevent water from penetrating potential cracks. Like you did between the different floors.

Merci pour les jolis paysages 🤩 et pour les explications détaillées sur la pastellone. Très intéressant ! Je trouve ça génial d'avoir dans une salle d'eau un revêtement murs et sol entièrement sans joints. La difficulté est qu'il faut obtenir un résultat parfaitement lisse. Mais vous savez y faire, vous avez la technique et la patience 👍Le résultat semble déjà super, même sans couches de finition. Encore de l'excellent travail, bravo à vous. Câlins à la plus belle ! A la semaine prochaine 😉

Premesso che ho una sconfinata ammirazione nei Vs confronti, e trovo sempre e comunque positivo che una giovane coppia come la vostra persegua le proprie convinzioni, non posso non notare che le rogne ve le andate proprio a cercare eh... 😊😂 Dopo il calvario del pavimento che con quelle mattonelle in cotto, storte e permeabili ad ogni schifezza, vi ha dato non pochi pensieri, pensavo che foste ormai sulla dirittura di arrivo. Vedevo il bagno quasi pronto per la piastrellatura...me lo immaginavo gia' e scommettevo tra me e me sul tipo e colore delle piastrelle che avreste posato e invece.... no. Troppo facile!! E quindi, seguendo i dettami della bioedilizia. si va di pastellone. Di primo acchito , dal titolo pensavo fosse un impasto per il pane o la pizza e invece, eccovi qui a tirare il frattazzo sui muri e ad aggiungere un altro strato agli altri di canapa che avete tirato... Avevo ipotizzato che avreste passato la Pasqua nella vostra nuova casa, ma prudentemente, sposto il termine a Ferragosto. Sempre che prima non vi inventiate qualche altra complicazione. Forza e coraggio!!! Siete giovani e forti e quindi boia chi molla!!! 😁😇🤗 P:s. Ma...lo scarico della doccia...dov'e' ???

Noi puntiamo comunque a entrare in casa verso Pasqua: la casa non sarà finita ma almeno sarà abitabile!

Watching your videos from Pulau Pinang in Malaysia, it is always a pleasure to see something being built with so much care and passion in the very contrast to all the news about distruction in Europe and the middle east. I am again and again surprised on your selection of traditional materials. Ceramic tiles may have been much easier than terra cotta tiles or your watefproof plaster. I wonder whether you had that in mind from the beginning or decided along the way. However, the result is amazing! I sense that you are sharing your dream, please dont fall into the trap of doing it for more subsribers, you will reach 100 000 without any changes. I keep watching and wish you all the best.

I was paying close attention to how you would do the inner corners and I see a SPOON! Genius idea, I'm stealing that. I love how you show the whole process, the different stages. This gives a good idea of what to expect. Too often in videos, we only get a glimpse of the finished stages. It's nice to see in detail all the hard work involved in creating something beautiful and durable. I can hardly wait to see the next art. And, er, was that a peek of actual kitchen cabinets I saw😉Thank you for sharing.
😁 We used a plastic spoon, but a metal spoon should work even better! and yes we made a start on the kitchen cabinets ;)

That Banca della Calce product is fantastic. We did venetian plaster walls in our home here in the United States but used tile in the shower area. I did not realize there was a waterproof plaster. Thanks for voicing Maddi!
