This house is so wide open and weirdly bare. I remember when I first got this pack and played in this house. I couldn't understand the layout. Love your builds so much!!! I would love to see you fix up both the Landgraabs house and their disowned son in his trailer home. Boathouse.
This house sucks. I’m so glad you’re making it better. Who wants to walk food that far to the dining room?! Here’s an idea. This is built using a budget. Why not have an opposite makeover with an unlimited budget? Minimalist vs Maximalist. Boathouse. 😊
Boathouse~ This came out really cute. The fact that there was no landscaping or terrain initially but it was still so expensive; I'm obsessed. I want to study EA under a microscope. Also, I recently renovated the Pancakes home and it took several days (I'm just slow like that, and also I was actually playing the family in between renovating), and I think the biggest things that helped me power through the monstrosity of that build was keeping the main rooms on the first floor nearly in the same place, kitchen to the back, dining room in the front right, and living room in the front left; decreasing the size of the entry stairway to one width stairs and rotating them for a small foyer mirror coat rack nook situation. I did cut the living room in half and put a bathroom and office in the back half of the original living room. You have to go through the living room to get to the office and go through the kitchen or office to get to the bathroom, but in older homes, I think it's normal to have layouts like that. And then upstairs, it's originally like two bedrooms two bathrooms but i just went crazy with making rooms so it's a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom and a laundry room situation on the second floor now. I actually really adore what I've done so far, because I kept the spirit of the build/architectural style of the house, but just made it make more sense for its size really. And of course, decorating it was fun because I imagined that the renovation was Eliza's idea so trying to decorate the way she would think is fancy and upscale, while also working within their means (they have 20k to start with when you first play them) which means some things aren't as fancy as she would like. So it's a bit of a dated home with aspirations of being grand. I had fun with it and I actually enjoy playing in the house now. I hope you have fun with your renovation and don't get too in your head about it. It's a massive house but you can cut and slice and divide that bad boy up to make it actually make sense as a house, and without even messing with the exterior walls too much! I'm looking forward to what you come up with! Also sorry for this super long message.
no worries about the long comment!! i lovvvvve reading long comments!!! especially about the sims (it's my special interest if you can't tell!) it's always so interesting to see how other players renovate homes that we play in as well!! i really do think Eliza will go all out and have a grand and gaudy looking home that's both modern and maximalist. the neighbors will be really confused lol thank you so much for the comment!!! i really appreciate it!!
I always want to renovate this one because the location is just so beautiful, but I never do because its a giant mess lol; I think I'll download your version and add more stuff to it! Thank you!
Oh man so much better! I love this lot (would love a boathouse of my own!), so I usually just demolish the house without looking at it, but wow, it's a hot mess. Do love a transformation. Before and afters and all that. Good stuff.
@@luccaowens yes, you are correct about routing also. If they have visitors, especially for parties the routing can get a bit chaotic. 😅 Don’t get me wrong some of the houses are very ugly or have strange floor plans or are too dark sometimes (or a combo if all 3). But I enjoy the space. 😂
Somehow you made it smaller but it seems MORE in every way! Will you be putting these on the gallery? My simself currently lives on this lot - she and her cat would appreciate it 😊 Boathouse, baby!
Great job! I love the location of this home in brin bay but hate the ea version. I’ll be placing this every time I start a new save or play in this area! (Boathouse)
Pretty sure EA as an entire company could use some "renovating"! My actual house could use some as well, lol. My laundry room and cabinet organization sucks.
This is one of my favorite lots in the entire game. Not for the house of course. The location is perfect. I hate that it is not bigger. Would love if it was a 20x30 or a 30 x 30 and still have a starter built on it, so i can move in my sims and not have to move them to another lot when their family got bigger as there is no room to expand. As for the house itself, I agree it is disappointing. Such a shame it had so much potential and yet it has just the worse layout ever! I think you did a great job with it especially since you only used BG and C&D. Whenever i renovate it , i make a super fancy starter home but i use all packs and CC which is way easier.
First, I don't understand why you would furnish the second bedroom. makes more sense for me to live that empty, everyone would have had a choice to have that for their, sim's kid, office, or dedicated pet room. Even if I try to let go, ignore, and make do. I don't know how to find you EA ID. I thought it's simply Lucca. I don't need anyone to tell me that is not the case. The gallery says enough for me. So, what is your EA ID?
i've gotten so used to gamechargers building houses in the packs now that these old ones are SHOCKING how bad they are lol
right?! this house was something! i'm glad they learned their lesson!

thank you so much!!! and i have done johnny's trailer! it's coming soon!! and the landgraabs house...that will be something!!!
Obsessed with how this came out! Making it smaller was definitely necessary as it feels so much fuller now. Great build!
p.s boathouse
thank you!!!!
I am so glad you broke your own rules! It looks so good! I would like to see any of the bigger houses in Willow creek .
Also: boathouse
thank you!!! some of those houses are something let me tell you! i am excited!!!
oh thank you. i always love to play here, but the house always makes me feel like i'd rather build my own then live here.
thanks so much for watching!

This is hands down amazing. It looks so much better ❤ It's so bright and the colors are fantastic.
boathouse~ i adore what you did with this build lucca!!! i'm also so happy to see you posting regularly, your videos are such a highlight to my day
I think I must be one of the few people that likes the larger home EA provides when they’re empty. I feel like it gives my Sims room to grow.
that's true!! they also want the rooms to be spacious so there isn't any routing issues i can imagine.
