Reclining the 2nd row is the most underrated for me unlike other SUVs. For me, it's better than moving the 2nd row back and forth since not all the time you have a passenger in the 3rd row.
Great review and nice car, perfect for the roads here. I haven’t heard the sound system so I’m glad you said it’s good since it only has six speakers. Those seats are really comfy and the leather is very soft and plush. I’m not sure they are going to be bringing in any more 4x4 models until the next generation since no dealers seem to have them. I’m glad your reviews are so thorough since you covered everything I was interested in, including the adaptive cruise control and interior comfort. Good job!
What i love in our montero is also what i hate. It has heavy steering, but also very precise tactile and planted. You really know where the weels are pointed unlike our everest, which is numb and soft.
Was surprised that the Multi-around View Monitor of the Montero Sport Black Series can still be used on higher speeds. If I'm not mistaken, the Outlander PHEV's system only allows you to do so on low speed driving the last time I drove one. Also, Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror with Auto Lighting and Wiper Speed System are exclusive for the GT 4WD variant together with the BSW with LCA and RCTA. Though at least it packs the Adaptive Cruise Control which I think is more of a necessity especially when doing long drives and other top-spec 2WD mid-size SUVs still doesn't have such feature. And oh, it also comes standard with Tilt & Telescopic steering and a power tailgate with a close & auto lock function. There are some which are still stuck on Tilt-only steering column adjustment and a power tailgate with only a close button feature for almost, if not the very same price. Solid and a professional review, Sir Joo! Hoping to have more time to watch your vids despite my loaded work scheds
Good review, but i disagree on the aspect of the sound system, as an owner it sounds lackluster and after a long period of time the side panels creates rattling sounds. And also the ride is soft but it’s too soft that when it goes over bumps there is a big amount of swaying from left and right. Also nvh needs improvement on the part of the noise going inside the cabin, but engine noise is minimal, on the good side the steering feel is top notch it doesn’t feel loose and the engine performance is impressive it doesn’t gear hunt and the matching of the transmission and engine is good. The engine is responsive and i could say it feels faster than the terra even though it has less hp. Lastly the features that it gives for it price is bang for the buck 👌🏻
agree with your sir...gls po yung car namin...d ako kontento sa sound system nang montero, tapus yung head unit UI medyo dull yung design...minimalistic po ako pero d ko gusto yung User Interface ng HU hehe... tapus medyo may ingay na pumapasok sa cabin..minsa nga akala ko nakabukas yung window hehe....pero yung steering, engine at transmission sooo gooood haha
I also agree on all points. I just like too add that you have to constantly steer to stay in your lane when going at high speeds, Its because of the soft suspension. We got the 2022 GLS variant and i would say that it has exceptional value for the money. Compare to other models at the price range the GLS variant offers a lot more.
@@danmarcelino8198 the solution is to put a sway bar or balance arm just to compensate the swaying of the monty. I installed it in my unit and i could say it’s effective. When you’re driving in the highway sometimes there are parts that are uneven and I noticed the big difference because it feels more planted when going through these areas of the highway. Also, in city roads when you go over bumps the feedback is a lot more stable no more additional swaying left and right and the ride is a lot more comfortable. + When cornering it is a lot more reassuring body roll is minimized.

Ford Everest Sport is much better looking than that Monty Sport. And that Monty Sport doesn't look Sporty at all due to its chrome door handles, chrome emblems, and chrome rear trunk. It should be blacked-out and no chrome to make it look "SPORT" version! 😂
Are you aware that the label Montero is derived from the Pajero? In our market, the Pajero is called the Pajero, but in other countries, Pajero is labelled as the Montero or Shogun. In short, the Montero/Pajero/Shogun Sport is a compacted version of the Pajero. The slicker design makes it a "Sporty" version of the Pajero. Besides, I don't find the Everest a sporty looking vehicle. The design is kind of bland (in my opinion). I find its design classy instead.

I don't understand how does a vehicle like this exists on a 4X2 version, why in Phillipines is popular? Here in central America it's weird, we have small SUVs for 4x2.
4x2 is less expensive than the 4x4 variant .needless to say , most people uses cars in city , no need for a 4x4 ( off road preferrences) ,when cheaper 4x2 is available in the market
To be honest, buying cars like these without the most important feature is a waste, 4 wheel drive. You can't effectively go off-road on rear wheel drive.
@@SoJooCars funny enough, I went on safari in Africa, Kenya to be exact, and we travelled for miles on the savanna and through rivers etc in a 4x2 van with LSD on the rear wheels. It’s amazing what you can do with the right ground clearance, LSD and good off-road tires.
Most people nowadays buys Pickup Trucks and SUVs to use them as family cars and not for off-roading. The 4x2 variants also too can go off-roading with 4x4 cars as long as you have all-terrain tires equipped.
I's funny when people read comments they don't fully comprehend what is being written. "You can't EFFECTIVELY go off-road on rear wheel drive." That doesn't mean you cannot go off-road with a 2 wheel. It's just NOT as effective as a 4 wheel drive.
@@CaptainChristianZ1818 I think it’s funny when people try to justify their stances by rationalising them. You certainly can “effectively” go off road, as anyone who’s done so can testify to. You can’t do everything without four wheel drive but you can effectively go off-road in a 4x2, it’s also about ground clearance, tires etc. Many, many people go off road effectively in Africa, India and the Middle East in 4x2 vehicles.
