I am Indian and given an opportunity, I may purchase the Scorpio N in this case because it offers more value and better FE. But it is only because I prefer value at my current financial situation. Had I been wealthier, I will choose Mitsubishi.

Mahindra, being a pretty new player in this game, is doing quite good with the XUV 700 and the Scorpio N. Surely competing the big old players like Pajero is a difficult game no doubt, with surely more tweaks and a 3-4 facelifts with more gizmos, I think it'll be almost perfect compact body-on-frame 4wd suv
Also they should increase the production, the waiting time is clearly insane, and this can make a great opportunity for big Japanese manufacturers to deliver their cars quicker

What I see is Mahindra just focuses on Engine reliability & performance but not on making the car user friendly.
Australians love bench seats While Indians like captain seats. They should have made bench seats as standard.
Plus they like flat floor and the seat management is quite bad as it not folds flat as they use these vehicles as a cargo loader too.
Plus, they are not like Toyota. Toyota majorly fixes all the daily user stuff precisely, but Mahindra sells first then decides to do the improvements.
In terms of engine reliability Mahindra will give Toyota a run for it's money but the rest of the car they will poop on floor

Its obvious that pajero is better than scorpion
But in terms of value for money scorpio n wins the game, of course its lacking some features but its not like that we need those features without those features the car can be driven with absolute no cause. if u have a tight budget, can adjust with those missing features, i would suggest to go with scorpion
    15000$ makes a huge difference

In India taxes are different for different lengths and engine size of a car.
So a sub 4 metre car gets less taxed than larger than 4 metres that's why most of India adopted cars are sub 4 meter and low engine capacity.

Only real aussie’s will choose the Pajero sport. they are great for long road trips, off-roading, carrying large luggage, everything. Luxury isn’t always the answer, sometimes it’s practicality and reliability, and so is value for money. Value for money is also never the answer. If u want a aussie car that isnt a pajero or a scorpio, i recommend the toyota land cruiser Prado or the normal land cruiser. The reason why i want to get a pajero is for towing capacity. I need towing capacity to carry my 1.5 ton trailer. It is essential for storage.
