It isn’t anywhere as linear as the McLaren’s BMW V12- most of that power comes from the twin-turbo setup. They take time to spool, resulting in unpredictable power delivery.

One night on the gunma mountains takumi is doing his shit in the 86 with mika in the passenger seat when out of nowhere a pair of headlights pop up in his rearview takumi rubs it off as a bum tryna race one down the hill and continues to drive he loses the headlights and went on bout his drive as he is in the middle of hairpin he is shocked as the headlights pop up again and this time the car is right on the side of him a blue 240z with villainous aura around it passed him mind drift....takumi is in disbelief along with mika and the z drives off into the night never to be seen again....takumi drops mika off and hits the mountains again in search of the z only to come up short in his rageful drive he drives back to the tofu shop and asks his dad questions about the 240 z....bunta is shocked as he remembers his first encounter with a 240z he couldn't remember it fully only that he nearly died trying to beat it both takumi and bunta walk outside and around to the Impreza bunta tells takumi to take the car and seek out the Z.... and takumi drives off back into the night in hopes of his rematch
The first time i watched WMN, it was just a coinsidence when the new owner of the devil Z has the same name as the previous owner, but now i realize that this is a curse, kinda like the Happines Incident? Idk
I believe blackbird killed the Original owner by accident probably due to him always being #1 so out of gealousy and hate he hit his rear bumper most likely and he lost control due to being over 170+mph and probably deep down regrets killing him. Maybe not wanting to but still wrong actions led to a Legends Death. Maybe this time around with the New Owner he'll learn his lesson on taking a "L" and not being reckless with his emotions on the road. At the end what matters is safety drive fast yeah but be smart also..! Even with the Original Owner not having his actual keys is probably a Omen he was gonna die and his sister had a strange feeling and was too late. Sad yeah but at least he watches over her over the years so at least he's paying back somehow even though nobody knows the full truth what happened thT day..!

The devil z itself has it's owners switched due to its near-uncontrollable power of a 600 horsepower that it holds under the hood with the engine so beat up, besides its such-a-lightweight body, Hence entitled a devil. Late Akio for sure lost control by speeding too much in trying to maintain his lead from the blackbird, colliding on a barricade so hard it killed him on the spot.
