To me the click wobble was 100% noticeable during use, it was so bad it affected my tracking. I had to fix it by modding the click, otherwise the mouse would have been unusabe to me. And the wire is probably as good as a stock cable can get but it still slacks around like crazy during fast movements. A good aftermarket cable makes a huge difference.
Interesting about the click wobble. What did you do to mod your clicks? I wonder if it's a difference in how we grip our mice. The majority of my grip on the XM2 is in the back of my palm, my thumb and my ring and pinky fingers, so it doesn't affect me at all. As for the cable, I agree to an extent, but the fact that aftermarket cables that are lighter and more flexible just means that companies technically could make cables better but just aren't. At least not yet. I added the Lethal aftermarket cable to my OP1 8K and it's wild how different it feels, but I was concerned because the Lethal cable was missing one wire that was present in the original cable from EGG. Performance didn't feel any different when I used it, but somewhat odd that there's an entire wire just missing in it. Going between the aftermarket cable and the stock cable, my aim doesn't suffer but it's just annoying and distracting haha.
Is that a tokay gecko? I remember when I worked at a pet store, the boss let a pair of wild caught tokays go to take care of a roach issue lol.. the sound the male would make when I would get to close would scare the crap out of me every time lol
@@GraceByFaith-86 this little guy is a gargoyle gecko! Tokays are so cool but they are mean as heck. Bet they took care of the roaches pretty quick but it must have been a chore to wrangle them up
Always love your intros Gekko. 🔥 For sure. And of course I've missed your vids. Yes I just saw the announcement for the xm2w. But I am a small handed guy. So probably to big for me anyways. So OP1 8K is my poison. Just wish 20mill switches were offered. I feel like Razor made everyone go optical switch. They are good. Keep up the good vids man. Vids feel really down to earth and a pleasure to watch. Cheers.....Fatal 🥂
@@Fatal_Error_Gaming I appreciate that dude! I’m glad I never canceled my order, definitely getting one of the w 4k models. But the OP1 is equally incredible. EGG makes some quality stuff. Cheers man!
Just aesthetics, same weight and less prone to fingerprints. Grip feels slightly different, the frost mice are more rubbery, solid colors are more dry/chalky. It’s a pretty subtle difference, both feel fantastic.
Also, some mice have 1-2 g more for white coated options. Can’t confirm with mine atm, away from my desk but the solid white XM2 may be a touch heavier compared to the frosts and the solid black versions
thanks, ill probably stick to either black to match my pc or white to match my monitor. It doesnt really matter because my mousepad is orange 😂😂😂@GekkoTechGaming
Surprisingly good. A bit more balanced in terms of speed/control compared to other hard pads (Cerapad, Skypad 2.0 & 3.0). Actually my favorite out of the bunch. Doesn't get that scratchy sound as easily from dust and less loud overall by comparison. I kind of like the slightly smaller size, gives me more real estate to use on my desk.
I have the XM2w 4k and have been running it exclusively since it arrived. Personally my choice is the XM2w 4k no competition. But like you said it’s 10 grams heavier, lower max polling rate, and it’s more expensive. Then again the 8K also has a cable you have to wrestle with. For me the XM2w is worth the price, and 60 grams doesn’t hamper my aim at all on glass or cloth pads. Neither is a bad choice but it’s ultimately up to your budget and your personal priorities/preferences.
I did most of my testing on either 4K hz with motion sync and 8K hz with no motion sync but did dabble a little bit with 2K. 2K feels a touch nicer and smoother, but beyond that it doesn't feel a significant amount different between 4 and 8K. On paper there should be marginal improvements to click latency as polling rate increases, but from what I've researched it seems like sensor latency doesn't change between the polling rates. Subjectively, felt great at 2, 4K but 8K uses a lot of system resources and it introduces some stutters and lost frames in Kovaaks but not in Overwatch. If I was to use this exclusively, I'd probably just run it at 4K with motion sync on. The performance improvements beyond 2K hz are so marginal that it rarely matters in real world application for gaming.
I love, “but [the cable] is very light” *starts whipping the cable around* 2:58
Just trying to demonstrate why I enjoy wired mice so much and they are *absolutely not distracting at all I swear*

just got my op1 8k man... this looks good as well LOL
@@frugalaimer Hey the OP1 8K is fantastic too. Both of em are close to the top of my favorite mice right now.
I got xm2 I'm loving it but I wish I was able to play on low sensitivity like 0.07 and cpi/dpi 800 because its quite slow if u use both low settings

got my op1 8k a while back however its a little too thin for my liking.
Is the see through plastic lighter or is it just aesthetics?

dang I really wanted to try and mod this with silent switches.
Thoughts on the Pwnage Pyramid?

i have dilema what do u prefer the xm2 8k wired which is lighter or the wireless 4k which is heavier ?

@@GekkoTechGaming thank you for your answer , i will order now , the black and white frost looks very nice , the white look very nice
@yaronsabag1541 I got the white one but honestly wish I got one of the frost versions, they look a lot cooler
@yaronsabag1541 Which one did you end up getting? Wired or wireless? I cant decide either lol
Do you use the 8000hz polling rate or just keep ur mouse at 1000hz
