Sri TMS sung this in a concert in 2006. This is a proof that TMS is having a ever lasting golden voice.

T.M.Soundarajan, a veteran playback singer in the yester years in
Tamil Cinema film Industry !!!
His debut in the film industry was at the age of 26,in the year 1946
and his last film song recording
was at the age of 73 in the year 1996 for a political satire film for
Shivaji Ghanesan.Vow!!! 50 years
of active involvement.Over 10171 Tamil film songs,2631 devotional,
light music and other language film
songs. Several thousands of stage programmes for Carnatic music and
film songs, in the entire world
Unfortunately,TMS was not recognized at national level. This is an
unforgettable mistake in the Indian
film industry and it is too late for yet another national award. No
one can say in India,Mohd Rafi,YesuDas,
SPB,Jayachandran,Kumar Sanu or any other national award winners are
better than TMS.Once I have
written to the President of India with a copy to Tamil Nadu Chief
Minister to review the real history and
career of TMS to consider for Dhadha Falke award or Bharata Ratna
award for his contribution to film
industry and I had a positive reply. May I request all Fans of TMS to
follow a suit to get a recognition for
him at national level at this age.
In this connection, I respect the valuable efforts of Mr.Ghanesh
Moorthy for his exemplarary efforts
to introduce the web-site of TMS!!!
By the way, I am not from Tamil Nadu or Tamil oriented sector and
unfortunately I do not read,write,speake
or even understand Tamil language properly. But I know Tamil from the
majestic voice of TMS.Therefore,
I have some rare audio and video collections of TMS,(collected from
various part of the world during my visit),
which I had submitted to Mr.Ghanesh Moorthy to release it in the web-site.

No.No. Sivaji only was the Real Booster concerning Songs created for him ! I am an ardent fan of celebrated singer TMS, perhaps even more than all the people commented here and his admirer since my childhood and also wish to mention with utmost Modesty that I myself can sing well. I wish to proudly say that I too hail from Madurai, native of great TMS. TMS is a great singer. But, it is absolutely a Myth and false claim that Sivaji's success was due to Songs/Singer, whereas actually Songs and Singer(s) got credit concerning Sivaji film songs, only because of Sivaji. Hence, please don't include Sivaji Ganesan, because, only because of Sivaji, songs got Life and Credit. Songs were written, tuned and sang with dedication, keeping Sivaji alone in mind only exclusively for his films. MSV himself told that he, in fact, used to get fillip, enthusiasm, inspiration and imagination from Sivaji, keeping in mind Sivaji only while Composing every time. TMS also expressed on similar lines. Sivaji was the only actor for whom, in fact, there was no need at all for Songs totally even. But if Songs find place, Sivaji was the only person who alone could do full justification by putting heart and soul by giving amazing finishing touches and giving Life to songs, by combining together the efforts of Lyric writer, Music director and Singer and creating an impression that as if he only sang the Song, rather than Singer, by displaying amazing lip movements for lyrics and ragas with wonderful body language and acting for BGM too in between and thus making a totality. Above all, there were many movies, right from Andha Naal, in which there was not even a single song for Sivaji, but Sivaji could impress people and attain success by solely carrying the full film on his shoulders without relying on Songs at all.
