The way the music and the movie footage is spliced together is absolutely remarkable and genius. Magnificent. Intriguing. Also, the actress playing the girl is really beautiful.
Loreena once said that her weakness about her music is her lyrics. My response was, NAY, NOT SO, sweet lady. No songwriter that I know of can write such beautiful lyrics as hers❤
I'm not a pagan, but there's something in this beautiful song that calls to me from a far, ancient and mystical time. Perhaps a time that inspired my pagan ancestors. The music also makes me feel younger since it's from 30 or so years ago. Springtime definitely helps get the juices stirring again.
Pagan is not a religion but a life style you can be any religion it's more Celtic I'm out of the ancient druids it's the power within a gift you wheir given at birth I sense that you have a lot of questions about your ancestors this is what I need to tell you is look harder and deep within yourself then go to your people and ask questions it is scary at first until you get comfortable with it the fear is the not knowing overcome the fear you will be glad you did and much happier blessed be Crying Wolf 🐺
Essa música é, definitivamente, minha favorita da Loreena. Ela me transporta pra algum lugar de paz, leveza de alma e sentimentos bons! Sempre ouço, principalmente quando quero relaxar...
Exceptionally Soul Uplifting Tune & Vocals Deeply Satisfying❤️Lorena’s Voice is Truly befitting for Singing Stories in Songs❤️I Absolutely Love this Song & it’s Tune Unforgetting🥰
He reminds me of an ancient druid they worked with green energy to heal Nature, but they also shifted into bears, wolfs and Owls, they would often be seen wearing gear as this running around Forrests sometimes eating fish.
Old part of my ancestors ...from another land we would find small flowers from the earth and weave them for our hair..something we use to do when we were younger.
This video brings to mind the Night of Kupala (see Wikipedia article below). Seems ancient Druids and Eastern Pagan Slavs had much in common. Kupala Night (also Kupala's Night or just Kupala; Polish: Noc Kupały, Belarusian: Kupalle, Russian: Ivan Kupala, Kupala, Ukrainian: Ivan Kupalo) is one of the major folk holidays of the Eastern Slavs that coincides with the Christian feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist and the East Slavic feast of Saint John's Eve. In folk tradition, it was revered as the day of the summer solstice and was originally celebrated on the shortest night of the year, which is on 21-22 or 23-24 of June {Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria (where it is called Enyovden), and Ukraine (since 2023)}, and according to Julian calendar on the night between 6 and 7 July (Belarus, and Russia). The name of the holiday is ultimately derived from the East Slavic word kǫpati "to bathe". A number of activities and rituals are associated with Kupala Night, such as gathering herbs and flowers and decorating people, animals, and houses with them; entering water, bathing, or dousing with water and sending garlands on water; lighting fires, dancing, singing, and jumping over fire; and hunting witches and scaring them away. It was also believed that on this day the sun plays and other wonders of nature happen. The celebrations are held near the water, on the hills, surrounding that[clarification needed]; chiefly, young men and women participate in these folkloric traditions. The rituals and symbolism of the holiday may point to its pre-Christian origins.
I am going to let everyone in on a little secret. I want to use this song by Miss McKenna for a dream sequence in an upcoming future personal project of mine where the main female character has been forcibly taken away from her beloved husband. In the midst of her despair, as she is sleeping, her mind conjures up a soothing scenario where she is in a large but benevolent landscape. She then sees her spouse and the two of them proceed to dance gracefully to this majestic piece of music while under a lovely clear night sky. The both of them are also wearing very romantic attire. The man is wearing black suede shoes, black trousers, and a white dress shirt that has unbuttoned sleeve cuffs and is also unfastened at the upper part. He has no T-shirt underneath. The woman on the other hand is wearing a flower band crown and has a lace gown with no arm sleeves. She's barefoot. They then share a lovely kiss. But it doesn't turn into anything obscene or explicit. Instead, they suddenly find themselves flying through large clouds up in the evening sky. They are holding each other's hands as they are in flight. This song should have been used for the soundtrack of a movie.
It's a beautiful musical accompaniment to a beautiful story. Sadly we are losing this cultural richness. Please young people wake up to yourselves and see what you are giving away so cheaply?

Remind me why I like being a witch...
There are no real witches. Magic does not exist.
Be a cunning woman. Witches were the magical school shooters of their day, it was the cunning folk who were the decent (or at least non-evil) ones.
