VERY happy to finally share this vid! I know I've been teasing it a bit, but really wanted to put some decent KMs on the car before I gave my thoughts. Having a manual gearbox is one of the joys of driving a car and I'm hoping to never give up that experience and feel. Curious to hear what your dream car would be?
First video ive seen on your channel. I gotta say that it was really well put together and it was nice to see people also prefer a manual in sports cars nowadays.
No joke I just literally saw one of these drive past my house in The Netherlands. Had never seen this model before in real life. Happened about 30 minutes ago. --- Congratulations man! This is an amazing car and I hope you'll have fun with it. Remember to keep it under 55 as Stradman would say 😉
Usually I don’t like this type of videos but I Like that you bought a car that you actually know about and love... and not because it is flashy! Enjoy it!
seeing this 2 years late, but manual, regular needle gauges and crappy radio = love it! 2020 has brought some horrendous misses in the car industry that's being dictated by marketing teams and "consumer" reports that have no soul. As a car and tech enthusiast I cherish more and more those products that come from ideas and not consumer polls and reports, that gives them life. a bit of ranting, but just thanks Karl
Karl Conrad unfortunately it will die thanks to unnamed control drive self drive cars technology grew stronger men got weaker makes me lazy and not get into control of the car in the future the future is black anyways Congratulations on your Porsche and like always keep up the great work
What do you think and how are you going to deal with the ground clearance of that car during summer and winter in where u live? do u think u have good ground conditions there? I don't wanna buy porsche 911 just to bottom out
Good choice!!! I also have a 991.2 GTS with PDK though!!! Driving to work, picking up the kids from kindergarden and track days!! It´s perfect!!! I think it´s the best 911 in the range!!!
Congrats man, seriously, this car is absolutely amazing, if I could have that money, boy oh boy, I would love that! Once again, good job!!! Love watching you😁👌🏻👍🏻🤙🏻
So guys I'll be moving to LA in a couple years, and I'm looking for a new car( nothing wrong with my 2006 accord v6 coupe) but I just want something new and with modern technology. I'm looking at the abarths because they are so cheap but lots of fun I'd probably mod the heck out of it and it would be a little rocket. Anyway is driving manual in LA as a daily driver a bad idea? Or is it worth it for the times that there isnt a lot of traffic ?
Karl, nice video and in a few moments I will watch the other where you received the GTS. ALL the points you mention in the video are those I've concluded as well... manual is a must have! I also considered a GT3, drove one but the PDK just didn't do it for me as I also missed the interaction with the car!!! You've had the car now for a few months... any regrets (e.g., should have considered a S model).
Amazing car! Very subtle, and classy. My dream cars would be a 2018 White BMW M-Series as a daily & a 2018 Red Mustang with white racing strips with a manual gear box as the weekend cruiser. Really dig your videos man! Keep it up!
I watch all of your tech videos. Never knew you were an “actual” car guy. You obviously knew what you wanted and went for it. You’ve gained my subscribe young grasshopper #orange 😎
Will you consider getting the new Porsche Electric car over the Tesla if you go electric? If given the proper tech, it would definitely be my dream daily driver. 911 GT3 or new Vantage would be my dream racing sport, and like every JDM Fans dream, an R34 GTR to finish the collection. An electric daily, a fast sport, and a manual classic.
Great stuff. One thing: the 991.2 GTS runs a 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds flat and it will hit 200 mph. Yes, Porsche is extremely conservative with its numbers. My 911 Carrera GTS PDK AWS C2 is being built next week and arrives in November. Your video reminded me of why I drive Porsches. Car and Driver Instrumentation Testing for the 911 Carrera GTS PDK C2: C/D TEST RESULTS: Zero to 60 mph: 3.0 sec Zero to 100 mph: 7.2 sec Zero to 130 mph: 12.2 sec Zero to 150 mph: 17.4 sec Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 3.8 sec Top gear, 30-50 mph: 2.4 sec Top gear, 50-70 mph: 2.5 sec Standing ¼-mile: 11.3 sec @ 125 mph Top speed (drag limited, mfr's claim): 193 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 142 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 1.05 g
Totally agree with you, I myself am kind of Old School. I get that feeling man, of the manual gearbox and especially wearing an analog watch!!! I would any day choose a Porsche over Tesla.
And you think working in a hospital will buy you a Porche 911 GTS? :))) I doubt even having 400k yt subscribers would do that, but I admit am not familiar with how yt pays
How did you spec red on only the center rev dial? Was that the GTS interior package? I went all black because I didn’t want the LCD screen to be black when the other dials were white/yellow/red. I didn’t spec the GTS interior though, so maybe that’s where it’s from. I love the center dial only in red, nicely done!
Ugh, so jealous Karl! 911 has been one of my grail cars for so long! Recently just upgraded to a 2015 Corvette and it's been a BLAST! 7-speed Manual as well. :) But my next car is in sight (2007-08) 911 Turbo and I'm so excited to hit the milestone so that I can scoop one up. You are right in your review that Chalk is IMPOSSIBLE to capture in pictures and video but it is absolutely FLAWLESS in person. Cheers and keep doing you man, loved this review!
They are such a gorgeous car, but I do envy you for being in a 991, I drove one at PEC Atlanta and it was so much fun on the course. I am a manual car driver through and through, all about burning those extra calories! ;) But the PDK is no joke, I really think I may be swayed to grab a PDK when I do eventually make the leap, they are just so brutal on the track, especially in the 991's!
Love the chalk color, just bought a 08 Cayman in Guards red and it is first pcar. Definitely won't be my last. But of course, it's a manual, NA flat six, 18 inch rims, and I am absolutely in love with it. And I was able to get it for less than a new camry!!! Thanks Doug Demuro 😁
I had a V8 RS5 and it was an amazing GT car but the new models are V6 turbo and that just does not appeal to me so a V8 Mustang is going to be my next big purchase such as GT350.
exactly my dream car. 991.2 GTS in chalk. the RS is more for the track. and the normal 911 or the GTS looks more elegant. will definitely get one, here in Germany you have to pay around 70t€ for a very good 5 years old 911. congrats for the car :)
The one option I never see people get is the back seat removal. This is a free option from Porsche. I think the car would look better inside with the back seats out and of course the carpet to replace it. Maybe the resell would pose a problem but fuck it, it would look good more sporty.

You should do a car giveaway for the porshe!! LOL.... AWESOME VIDS AS ALWAYS MAN
Is this your only car? Because you should never daily drive a Porsche, unless it’s a Cayenne or Macan. Same with any other sports car.
Both Audi and BMW have manual cars
My dream car is a Jeep!😍
Karl Conrad It’s Ray, thought you’d get something in orange! Still love your videos
Shifting the gears has its own sweet time, automatic takes it away
so true
Another reason not to get a GTR
Ian Smith very true mate, but I think they need to update the Godzilla, it's more or less the same car they revealed in 2007
First video ive seen on your channel. I gotta say that it was really well put together and it was nice to see people also prefer a manual in sports cars nowadays.
Huuuuuuge respect for a manual. Have always been driving manual cars. Absolutely love it.
No joke I just literally saw one of these drive past my house in The Netherlands. Had never seen this model before in real life. Happened about 30 minutes ago.

Thankfully you are one YT tech reviewer that doesn’t drool over a Tesla and that’s why I like watching your videos. Love Porsche and Omega

Glad to see someone still drives manual in 2018
ToyinJr manual car gives more control over car
Awesome review. Hope to watch more.
Congrats man, seriously, this car is absolutely amazing, if I could have that money, boy oh boy, I would love that! Once again, good job!!! Love watching you😁👌🏻👍🏻🤙🏻
I would have preferred it in a Targa. Was it something you were considering? Not sure if it comes with a manual as the coupe.

New to this channel and just watch the video and love the review! Team manual for sure! 👍
Massive congrats. You nailed the spec and it's such a solid car. Much love

Production quality A1 as usual 👌🏾
Why not the GTS 4 given you live in Canada? Would be more usable year round then.
I noticed you have no front plate in Toronto, are you just eating the tickets?
Is that the paint cracking at 3:10
Beautiful colour!😍😍😍
Excellent spec build. Finally somebody that 'gets it right'. Manual is the best way to drive a Porsche 911.
bro! This vid just made me subscribe! Manual is the only way to go bro! Freaking awesome!
Do you plan on driving it in the winter?
Awesome vid Karl nice whip man. My dream car would be a really tricked out Jeep Wrangler.
Major respect for you to get a manual 911 thats just an iconic car with 3 pedals.

Perfect spec buddy. Long live the manual. Congrats.
My dream is is that exact 911. Maybe tweak a few options, but a manual 991.2 GTS is goals.
Wow! Congrats😊
Great review Karl!
Is this engine naturaly aspirated?
How much was it with all the added specs?
Beautiful shots!

Your knees find in the steerring wheel...your height?
Did u earn money for that car out of RUclips profit? Nice car btw man!
I don't think he does anymore but I remember a while back he talked about working in a hospital as a full time job with youtube.

If you live in America Corvettes make far more sense from a bang per buck perspective. 911's are amazing though. It depends on what you can afford.
Car play works with the USB in the centre console. That’s were they want you to place your phone also. No charging pad.
Awesome car👌🏾

I plan on getting one of these pts golden rod metallic, giac chip exhaust and gt3 front bumper, would look cool with the glass roof

I have a Model 3 and if I was wealthy I would also want that 911.
Nice ride.

My more attainable dream car is a 2015-17 Mustang GT. My dream supercar however is the 991 GT3 RS just like the LEGO car you have

Aurelian hard to say at this point. I’d definitely have to drive it
Wow, awesome car dude!
PDK is faster and quicker shifts with Porsche, but manual is fun. Picking up a GT3 in another year. :)
