Honestly, I'm not a big fan of convertibles (too much wind and noise) but for some reason the information is still very interesting. Really starting to see project nearing completion.
I have watched ,many videos on installing new pumps and cy;li9nders and this man does it the very best and includes his actual experience in doing it. I called a shop near me and they charge $100 an hour to install a pump like this and they estimated it takes 1-3 hours to do. Thank you!!
Wally I am in primer on m,y '66 and since the new quarter panels were not drilled for the chrome trim in the indent I am leaving them off. The body lines are great on Mustangs they don't really need the chrome IMHO. Really Like your '68!
You are right that the 68 markers were an afterthought from ford to comply with new MOT safety rules. I had ordered the indented quarters where I should have stuck with 67 non markers. Oh well in my case I painted the "chrome" surround with body color so it blends better.
unfortunately not, BUT if you watch the video called "interior rear quarter trim" and go to 14:09 I show you how I install them, Basically there is a single screw under the window crank plus you have to remove the windlace which is the trim that runs down the panel. then the panel lifts up and out. I hope this helps and good luck on your restoration
If you look at 2:09 you see the new assembly has a black and silver side. the silver side is a simply motor and and black side is both a pump and integrated reservoir. that is why once installed I used a syringe to fill the reservoir / pump with transmission fluid
Very interesting. I have never worked on a convertible, so this is all new information for me. Merry Christmas!
thank you , merry Christmas as well .

The good news is this is a summer only car so top down 90% of the time.

Thank you for sharing. I'm enjoying your restoration project very much! Looks great.
Appreciate it, thank you
Merry Christmas! Great info. I was just looking at my cylinders and pump yesterday trying to decide if I want to get new ones. Keep up the good work!
Mine were leaking when I got the car so a must to replace, not sure what I would have done if it was 100% working. probably left well enough alone.
Merry Xmas to you and your family and a big thank you for the tips on the flip open gas cap it now works a treat
I am glad I could help. Have a great Christmas and safe New Year
As always great job. Nice and clean install. The syringe is a neat trick.
Merry Christmas Wally!
You as well my friend, and a happy and safe new year
Fijne kerst en een gelukkig Nieuwjaar gewenst
To you and yours as well.
Have you done a video on how to remove the side panels to get to the cylinders? I’ve got the seat out but need the panels off

Where's the fluid reservoir
