You should take your daughter sewing supplies shopping. Have her get her own sewing basket and other supplies. That way she doesn't have to steal your stuff, and it would be what she picked out. My grandma and my mom taught me to sew. My grandma was kinda kooky when it came to gift giving. I remember she gave me my first sewing basket. I had stopped sewing for over 10 years because of lack of space. I am sewing again and learning a lot from your videos.
Great idea. You could make something like this for the arm of a couch or chair to hold remotes and other things you keep on hand. Also, one for your bed.
I think the best sewing tip I've ever seen is the padlock on the fabric scissors! I raised 3 kids and was married for 15 years. Do you have any idea how many sewing shears of were ruined in the growing of that family? 🤣
Great idea! I sewed on a wobbly kitchen table for years 'till I got a Singer machine inside a cabinet when my daughter was born. From the time she was in a playpen I taught her not to bother my sewing stuff. I guess I was pretty lucky that I never problems with my daughters getting into my sewing machine. They are now in their '50's and are grandparents. By the way, it looks like you sew barefoot also, yeah, me too! I have to be able to feel the pedal. I enjoy watching you, keep up the good work. 👍

This is the perfect time of year to stock up on cheap back-to-school scissors to keep the littles (and the occasional hubby) out of your good sewing scissors. I buy 2 or 3 every year & scatter them in desk & end table drawers all over the house.
I do that already with a tan dish mat from Dollar Tree. Slids easy if I need more space and helps with noise. lol. No younguns at my house to borrow/steal my favorite sewing things.

Just got my Jazz2 back from Sew n Vac repair, saying set screw had vibrated off! Such a super help for stopping vibration because that cost was $229.00, well cleaning too! What a super channel you have done for soooooooo many! Thanks
Great minds think alike. I had the same idea about making a mat to set my machine on, but I’m also going to add some strips of that non-skid shelf liner on the back so my machine won’t slide.
I think I need like three of them. One just like this one and use it the exact same way, two that I would attach Velcro to and use on my table where I do my diamond painting and quilling.
This was one of the first projects I did when I started learning to sew. It wasn’t this easy though, that’s for sure! This is super cute! I absolutely love it! I too use a plastic folding table 🙃 can’t afford a better table just yet since my “fun” budget usually gets spent on fabric 🫣 but I can make this with what I’ve got 👍🏼 I think I might take a break from my current quilts today and make this… ohhh, I might use some scraps and make a little patchwork pad for this cute idea of a sewing machine placemat 😊
