  • In this video, I show you how to repair the pump which controls the lumbar support, and side bolster adjustments in a Mercedes. The car in the video is a Mercedes CLK (W209 2002-2009), but the process is the same for all Mercedes vehicles that use a similar air pump system to adjust the seats. This includes the older CLK (W208), E-Class (W211, W212, W207), C-Class (W203, W204), S-Class (W221), CL-Class (C216), SL-Class (R230), and CLS-class (W219). The seats are formally known as multi-contour seats, but many people just refer to the adjustments by their characteristics - lumbar support, and side bolster adjustments.

    Hello thanks for the video. My question is, is this device that also powers the rear seat headrests?

      Thanks for watching. I'm not sure about that, but I would assume the headrests were using a motor rather than an air pump.

    Awesome video, i got a quick question do you have to remove the battery before doing this ?

    • @mrsinghsgarage
      @mrsinghsgarage  3 месяца назад +1

      @@trashba8663 Nope, no need to remove the battery. Just make sure the ignition is switched off with the key removed and you're good to go :)

    For me some of the buttons are not working while others are working fine and adjusting the seats, any ideas what i should check?

    • @mrsinghsgarage
      @mrsinghsgarage  3 дня назад

      @@syvis5547 You might have a pipe that's come loose or split. Check the connections to the pump in the boot, and check the pipes behind the panel on the back of the seat. The panel is secured by two T20 screws and then it just slides down and off.

      Fuses 13 and 19, located at the rear SAM module (the fuse box in the boot).

    dead.

      @mrsinghsgarage  2 месяца назад

      @@alienking2015 There could be a small build up inside, causing a dead spot or a bad connection. Try following the steps in the video, if you haven't done so already
