550 or 575(hopefully the SuperAmerica) , i remember the articles of them growing up compared with Aston Vanquish. Then seeing Top gear with Clarkson & Damon hill testing them & bantering about Schumacher on that show. Totally a bucket list car for me 🤞
I think it's quite bland, actually. Most 80s/90s Ferrari's were a bit safe or dull. There was nothing truly striking (of the mainstream Ferrari's) until the 458, in my opinion.
roldox c Yeah I remember when it was launched and the general consensus in the motoring press regarding the styling was a bit “meh”. I was less polite, to be honest, though I think it has aged quite well. It still certainly wouldn’t trouble the top of my automotive “beauty” list but it’s definitely a modern classic to me though.
Paul's reaction while walking around looking at all those cars is like me when i was a kid looking at all those model toy car in the toy shop. Except you literally can play with them :u i envy you, yet this is as close as i can get to experience this great modern classic. My favorite among those cars is audi quattro. I just love the technology milestone it presented with those intelligent power and torque distribution on 4 wheel, as well as the group B rally performance. Seeing audi quattro rally clips still excite me until today. Wont get bored seeing them going fast passby, jumps and slides
Being from the States, i am always taken aback by the weather you will film and drive these classic cars in. I guess that being in the UK, if you waited for perfect weather and sunny skies you would have limited opportunities to film and drive. Best to enjoy what you have.
@@lovecarsTV I like rainy days. And not in a way depressive people say they like rain because it reflects how they "feel", I just like rain and overcast days......I should move to the UK.
I am an American living in Scotland. It rains, but I must admit the east of the country rains a lot less than the west coast. Still when the weather is nice, there is no better place to drive! ... Maybe California, definitely Cali!
Honestly I thought this was the most boring and unimaginative car collection I've ever seen. Obviously owned by somebody very rich who doesn't love cars at all, and obviously never really drove them. Let's see: - Bullett Mustang - Not a car for anybody who likes driving, maybe they just like bad movies. It's 'iconic' ... yawn. - Ferrari 550 - To be fair this seems like something an enthusiast would have bought. But what's the betting that the current owner bought it at 22k miles not too long ago as an investment. - Porsche 968 Clubsport - Again how convenient that it's the exact one to have, can anybody say investment. - Audi Quattro - It is cool but it's very unimaginative. It just seems like something 'iconic' to collect. - Opel Manta - Gotta get that 1 of 12 for the rarity, never driven in the rain of course. - Singer 911 - Of course, not just an old 911, only the most fashionable, collectable, speculative old 911. - Porsche 918 - In my experience these are only owned by rich people who never drive them. They were all bought before day 1 as speculative investments, the only people who actually drive them are the press. Otherwise they just move from one rich persons collection to the next, ever increasing in value and being kept on stupidly low mileages. Of course never being driven is bad for the car so it will actually be a dog in a few years time (like all these cars). - Bentley Continental - It is almost an insult to include this car here. They're common as muck, massively heavy, badge engineered bling. It's just not sporty or interesting, and I find it such a waste of the viewers time. You can tell that Mr owner said 'these are the cars that I'm selling, film these and get them sold for me'. I'm sure the crew thought 'groan, a Continental', but whose going to tell Mr rich owner that he's sucking their very soul away? This video honestly had such a bad vibe because it was all money and no heart.
This was so beautiful! The descriptions, the music, the photography... this was the way to start my day. So nostalgic! Can't wait to see what from my generation becomes a classic!
The list of cars itself is so impressive, it's highly difficult for me to decide, though the Maranello holds a heck of a lot of sense of occasion for me since it was featured in the PlayStation version of Need For Speed High Stakes, which I played on a cousin's console when I was 7 years old. The 2004 Continental GT also used to be my dream car during my childhood, and I think I'm still going to fall in love with it again!
Beautiful cars with such individuality that’s often missing today. I’ve always loved Aston Martins and over the forty seven years of marriage my wife has patiently taken photos of me standing by someone else’s beautiful car. Thanks again. Regards, Bob
You did A FABULOUS job with this video.. Simple, and giving each care its due credit. I would go with the "Singer.. Of course I would be drooling as I walked pass the 918 Spider. Cheers from California
The 550! Tour de France Blue for me is the perfect color choice. Creme' interior is spot on. Three pedals and a lovely engine note! Sleek, sultry and always sexy! This probably comes from my Italian side.
I'm a rally guy, so I'd have the UR Quattro... Can't beat the sound of an angry 5-cylinder !!! Also, all-wheel-drive is needed for our long Canadian winters!
I have the 968 since a while but not a Club Sport. I need cruise and airco plus rear seats and I hate the targa roof so mine doesn't have that. And the weight difference is not much between CS and normal.. Still a hell of a car. Can use it to go shopping or autobahn blasting. Buy and enjoy.
PS - believe it or not, we know a fair few of the people who take the time to come on the channel and give us a thumbs down on each video!! Imagine being that sad in your life! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also I'd like to see you make a video comparing the Ferrari 550 and the 575.And one comparing the Testarossa vs the TR512 vs the 512M, all 3 seem like the same car but are almost completely different. Year wise, I'd suggest 1991,1993 & 1995 respectively. I think the videos I've suggested would be right in Tiff's wheelhouse.Thumbs up from Ohio.
Cool cars and video. It would have been better to have had more info though, didn’t hear enough about engine sizes/power/orientation/driven wheels or things like cost when new for all of them

I got the only modern classic I could afford, a mk4 Golf R32. Out of these ones, the Manta or the Audi.
Day of the Rake proper car! We’re hoping to do a history of the Golf video soon
Pagani Zonda S. Not in the video and also not a truly classic, but that one :D
DueGreg 20 yrs old now so a classic pretty soon
I'm not into Ferrari, but I'd take that 550 in a heartbeat... One of THE best looking modern Ferraris.
Agreed
550 all the way. One of the prettiest cars ever made
Difficult to argue with that. It was special when it came out and not much has changed 💪
