I suppose, IF it is a brand new building or staircase, one could sing from the stairs but a gathering of all those songsters around the beautiful piano, in a bid semi circle, would have been nicer; perhaps next time. In the Vatican City, Italy, there is a circular gallery under a dome, about 60 meters from the ground around which singers hold impromptu singing sessions, without musical accompaniment. . Likewise I think, some singers have sung in St.Paul's Cathedral high up too. All a bit too theatrical for worship songs. . . o0o
