This comic is what made Kitty Pryde my favorite character. Also Hisako one of my favs as well.
yeah i kinda forgot about kitty and others characters like emma frost until reading this, they even made this series into an animation which you can watch here ruclips.net/video/4UPWMQj7Q_s/видео.html and in there is a rlly cool scene where kitty floats through the floor above her to extract some hostages while emma frost plays with the terrorists and Ords mind

Wolverine's one motivation in this entire book is just to drink beer. Almost every other line has him asking for one.

This run is the one that I show to people who don't get why Cyclops is popular among actual comics fans (as opposed to people who only know of the really nerfed cartoon or movie versions).
17:20 is the BEST moment in this episode I paused this for 5 minutes in laughter!

this may be one of the GREATEST edition Back Issues ever! I read these comics so long ago I forgot about it and watching Sal explain to the guess "Wheddon-ism" is great...I also highly recommend watching the Tangents-Cyclops before watching this, i spit up water laughing!

I want a shirt. Reason: this show has changed my day to day vocabulary and phrases. I find myself constantly validating things by saying "that's fair." It has pissed off those closest to me......and I have no plans on changing.

My reasoning, well for starters I'm a fellow Jersey boy (less ahipping) and numerous times I have informed you all of events coming up in the state, and made general statements that I know at least made Sal laugh. I should get a shirt because Ive watched all the episodes of back issues in one sitting and all i got was a stomach ache from dying of laughter and bloodshot eyes. Boom
Okay, I have a question for anybody out there, about Cyclops in this book.
So, in volume 2 when Emma's messing with his mind, they do that "looking back at your past" and she suggests that Scott purposely chose to not control his powers.
But I don't get it. She was saying, "oh you were going through all this trauma and felt like you had no control, so the only way you could have control is to choose not to have control" or something, so it turns out that he actually CAN control his powers, but he subconsciously chooses not to. When she tells him that, he realizes it's true or something and for most of the book he is able to control his powers, no glasses required. Until it reverts back, at the end.
So, my question is, can he control it or not? If he can, why does he choose not to? If he can't, then what was the deal in this book?
Also, how is choosing not to control something you can't control a form of control? Maybe to a kid, but to an adult?
And is this canon? Like, is it canon that Cyclops doesn't control his powers because he chose not to as a kid? Is it ever mentioned again? Is the whole "brain damage" thing erased now?
Teenage Scott Summers had incredible destructive power. The responsibility of controlling it was too much for him to bear, so he subconsciously relinquished control. That way, he could rationalize any destruction he caused as not his fault.
I don't think it's canon, unfortunately.
I need that shirt so I can show everyone a proper role model for parenting in Ultron 8. He is also the most interesting person in "Bring your parent to school" day, you know, got all that adamantium and lazer eyes...

I just finished this run today. I love the Morrison run a lot but I like how this made the X-Men into heroes again instead of Men in Black type soldiers. I especially love how Kitty, Colossus and Cyclops are written. Scott is a such G in this run.

I just barely got into comic books after going to C2E2 and after going the first thing I did when I got home was research Secret Wars and that's when I saw your guys' video. In defence of Magneto, he can't pull the bullet back he sits and meditates for like a week and all he can do is slowly alter the bullet's trajectory so it eventually turns and heads back to earth and it nearly kills him.

The giant bullet to destroy planets is the most realizable methodology for space warfare. Long story short I was looking up how much energy to destroy a planet and most explosion engineers and such agree that the best thing to do is launch something really dense, really fast at the planet. Lasers take too much energy and the only explosives found to be able to do it are rare and too unstable to work with .

The X-men weren't important in Civil War, because Emma and Tony met and said that the X-Men will Remain nuetral and not for either side. at the time Emma was the leader of the team.
i would say emma and scott were both leaders of the x men at that time: not just emma.
