Calling them out is nothing new. If you watched the video you would know that lud even mentioned how you can find posts from 2015 of people calling them out.
RUclips has been getting backlash from their creators everytime they mess up since the adpocolypse yet their is always comments like this. I don’t understand
@@caenir “Reddit posts” not top creators calling out platforms clown he obviously isn’t talking about supporters/fans in his comment use a little common sense 🤦🏽♂️
You should check out the gphustla situation, the dude with the world record for longest continuous stream. I found him when you shouted him out during your subathon and a few months ago he got banned with no explanation. They’ve been withholding his money, still charging subs, and refusing to help him at all. I think this could be another good mogul mail with everything that’s going on. He’s getting shafted bc he was only ever a double digit streamer.
I don't know about happy, he still has friends who depends on Twitch. I do feel he might feel relieved as he can view it as a third person and talk about it more
There is no problem with adult content. The problem emerges, when everyday content and adult content get mixed. Twitch can make an adult section on their site for all I care, but it should not be mixed in between other streams.
it fucks up their ad revenue. For example, 4chan had to effectively split into 4chan & 4channel because advertisers didn't want to associate with the NSFW boards
The second adult content is officially integrated into the site, every advertiser targeting 13-17 year olds, families, etc, would pull out, leaving Twitch with just 18+ ads (which do not pay well at all). They'd lose well over 95% of their ad revenue. You might think advertisers will just pull ads from streams categorized as 18+, but that's not how most advertisers work, the ENTIRE domain has to meet their standards, because they do not want to be associated to that kind of content in any way. There's also legal issues regarding adult sites as well, Twitch would be banned in some regions, and "regulated" in others. If a country will ban a video game for being too violent or sexual, you can bet your ass they'll ban a very popular adult website with the facade of a "normal brand friendly streaming site".
There's also nothing wrong with gambling streams to adults and Ludwig made videos going super hard against xqc and others. Ludwig is a fucking hypocrite always defending women when they do bad shit and attacking dudes hard when they do mild transgressions.
I agree that if Jidion wanted to get back on Twitch, this isn't the way to do it, but he's said in many previous videos including his last one that he doesn't care about going back to Twitch and that he prefers streaming on RUclips, which is why he's just freely trolling them now.
@@antoine5594 Yes. He misrepresented and lied about Jidions video the whole way through. Ludwig completely lied and said Jidion is only making the video to get unbanned even though IN THE ORIGINAL VIDEO, Jidion states multiple times that he’s glad he got banned and that he doesn’t want to get back on the platform and is only making the video to help his friends who are still on twitch dealing with unfair treatment. Ludwig completely lied about the twitch con situation saying that the reason Jidion didn’t get unbanned is because he hasn’t changed and used the Twitch con incident as an example even though if Ludwig actually did his research he would know that Jidion knew WAY BEFORE the twitch con incident that he was NEVER gonna get unbanned because the devs told him that in a interview. So by the time the twitch con incident started it didn’t matter what he did to twitch because he was never gonna get unbanned anyway. This dude spent so much talking about shit that was just completely wrong then actually talking about the issue at hand. Dude literally only talked about the ACTUAL BAN for like 2 seconds instead he wasted time shitting on Jidion for wrong information. Idek why he even made this video if he knew he was gonna be Disingenuous and misrepresent it because he doesn’t like Jidion. Moist critical video was far better.
Companies act like this until they are whistleblown or properly sued. So the best thing I could say is all these content creators should make a union and draft a CBA with whom ever they partner, otherwise as a ‘customer’ they will just tell you to deal with it.
I candidly think this video is not that nuanced this time. He doesn't talk about the inconsistencies of twitch enough. He also assumes that Jidion's approach is to merely get back on twitch in a disingenuous manner, but doesn't even discuss Jidion's arguments in the video thoroughly. It's good that he tries to admonish jidion because it seems he's trying to not be biased; however, I would say that he is still seeing this in a narrow manner. Moistcritical's video was far better.
@@samuraigorilla2311 well said, I felt the same way but ludwig does have a point about Jidion being a "trouble maker" to an extent. However not talking about any of the points Jidion directly said was a bad idea. I expected to hear jidion's voice in this video but there was none
@@Angelofo I think you phrased it perfectly. Ludwig is correct in saying that trying to criticize twitch- whilst also trying to sneak into twitch con- isn't exactly the best approach to being unbanned. Though I like Jidion, I can certainly accept that he does become disruptive. However as you said, jidion's voice wasn't even present. It just gives the picture that he's painting Jidion in a certain way and exaggerating his character, whilst not humanizing him and presenting his side.
@@samuraigorilla2311 Critikal ignored all the extra stuff jideon did and said he got banned for just "L+ratio" spam which was pretty damn reductive if you ask me. Thats something we can all agree on
I'm glad you pointed out that he is still both banned and her only having a 7 day ban is inconsistent, but also seems to be going around what all he did to deserve an indefinite ban.
@@SlowGreyWeasel I feel like he's gone on his redemption arc but it does make sense that twitch doesnt want him on their platform. I guess the lawful good ending would be everyone who breaks t and cs getting banned and the lawful evil ending would be no one getting banned
@@_unseenhunter_5093 He is on his redemption arc only because he lost money by being banned. Watch this asshole getting unbanned and he will pull the same shit every time regurarly. He shouldn't have a platform anywhere.
@loll She didn't use it in any directly harmful manner as opposed to him actively harassing people. Perhaps she should have been somewhat reprimanded for it but he deserved his ban.
I find the whole comparison between harassing someone and having sex weird bc they don’t have any relation to each other. They’re both wrong in different ways and deserved a perma ban. I think this this whole thing should be broken down into 2 different issues, one is the issue of whether or not it’s ok to unban someone who has made amends with the person they harassed, and the other about how the lady had sex on stream yet was let off easy whereas other people who accidentally flashed a nude get a much harsher punishment.
Exactly, I think a lot of the people are caught up in trying to compare the two. As you mentioned, what makes a much better comparison is people who accidentally showed explicit material vs her blatant and _intentional_ violation of Twitch’s TOS.
His point wasn't about the content, but about sexism. He said female streamers get much lesser punishment for equally perma bannable behavior, regardless if the offense fits in a different category or not.
The issue is twitch is never consistent with their punishments across genders. The punishment for the men is always far more severe even if the crimes the same
This is such an interesting issue and to see both of the big platforms having issues with equal community guidelines. It will be interesting how things change and end up months down the line. Great vid Lud
Agree. It also speaks to how these tech companies seem to always end up in legal trouble for discrimination. If they're treating creators unequally, you can only imagine this extends into their regular operations as well. How many times have we heard of the bro circles cutting each other slack at this point?
@@grampaseri proving discrimination would almost be impossible unless a twitch employee came out that they were ordered to discriminate. The inconsistencies that platforms have comes down to human error
@@patchesthepirate55 You seem confused. I'm not saying they specifically set out with orders to discriminate. That's absurd. I'm saying there's a pattern of behavior that seems to occur in tech and gaming companies where some employees are cut slack for poor behavior and the companies face subsequent legal action for discrimination which they then settle. ABK, Riot, and Sony are just some of the recent examples. This behavior mirrors the same type of favoritism occurring with creators.

If Twitch posted banning guidelines, not just TOS, and actually followed those guidelines in a transparent way, no one would be able to say anything. JiDion probably deserved an indefinite ban, especially with how he handled himself in the fallout. But Twitch's dumb actions validate banned streamers, even when they deserve it.
they can't because there's seperate rules for males and females. females are allowed to get away with much, much more. twitch staff have been arrested for raping male streamers. it's a completely fucked up company.
I feel this is extra disingenuous because he's essentially trying to piggyback/hijack the movement of someone who actually was wrongfully discriminated against to serve his own goals which his punishment for was arguably fair
If his argument was about being consistent, completely fair. I think he deserves to be banned off of twitch for sure. But his argument is to unban him since "Oh, she got a 7 day ban. I made up with the person I harassed and am still banned!". Im a JiDion fan. I love the guy, I love his energy, and i loved his twitch con video because it was almost meta in a sense of "Oh, i got banned off twitch and now am at twitch con with Poki!". But yeah. People are saying JiDion is "manipulating" his fanbase. But manipulating implies that he actually knows what hes doing. I'd say influencing is a better word. Manipulating insinuates he did it maliciously and with self awareness. I think he just saw this opportunity, is still mad about how he got banned off of twitch despite his reform and remorse, and is mad about how these people are being treated better than him.
@@jimbo2947 I totally agree! Manipulative is too harsh of a word, it exasperates jidion I feel like he’s more influential than manipulative. And I don’t think he’s actually piggybacking off, if anything he’s included into that group of people who have been discriminated.

It’s not just erotic content it’s LITERALLY HAVING SEX ON A LIVESTREAM AND SHOWING IT. Which is an extreme violation of TOS because your showing ACTUAL live porn. If Jidions “harassment” were to get perma banned this should get perma banned too by TOS standards, just because YOU FEEL that it shouldn’t get banned means nothing. If Jidion was the one to show himself having sex live on twitch then I bet you people would be one of the first ones advocating for him to be off the platform. Yet when a girl does it you don’t care which shows the sexist standards of twitch that Jidion was trying to show. This has been happening for years and this is just another example of it. The girl severely broke tos and so should get perma banned but she didn’t because she’s a women and twitch favors women. Open your eyes and stop being biased, it’s literal porn😂
I personally don't care if it is disingenuous, as his situation has been resolved with pokemaine. The fact that the one twitch streamer threatens to shoot up the headquarters of twitch, can apologize and turn her perma ban into a suspension is absolutely bonkers. They sexual stuff that we have seen hit the main media never hit a month suspension is bonkers. I don't like what Gideon did, and I don't watch his content, but unless twitch starts to actually enforce it rules properly and transparently, he shouldn't have been banned.

Twitch has always been known to be inconsistent when it comes to delivering punishment. However, I think Jidion's ban was completely fair, as he continued to harass poki after he got punished. I'm glad poki and jidion have made peace since, and jidion does seem like a cool dude. I just think if he's trying to use this as an example to get unbanned or something, then it's not going to amount to that and twitch will not respond. I think he saw an opportunity to get the bag after seeing the video calling out youtube, and he took it. And I'm not going to blame a guy for doing that.
It's not about his ban being unfair. It's about the other bans being unfair. I do agree it is also fair but the point is that these other Twitch Streamers who are coincidentally all Women and getting banned for just a month or less for something worst.

Twitch truly is unhinged with keeping order. I also believe Jidion deserves the ban. There was too much sexism, too many horrible remarks and threats towards poki. His fans told her every day for weeks that they were going to r word her.
Definitely deserved a ban but not the ban he has rn. If he and the person that had received the threats and sexist remarks made up then it seems unfair to say he still deserves the ban
Even though I understand where jidion is coming from, I think that’s twitch is afraid. Most young people don’t care about sex or the people having sex on stream. In fact, it probably draws more people to their platform. Bullying is very different. Even if he’s reformed, he does tread that line between ok and not ok. That’s fantastic content unless it goes wrong again and Twitch gets more hate. I think Twitch is in a very precarious position right now with ppl leaving for YT, or not attracting new viewers (I realy tried to get into Twitch but my god those adbreaks…) they don’t want to alienate people. My two cents from a YT 🐸
I think this is a tough situation. If you do something wrong on the platform that only affects your channel, a non permiban is fine. If you are purpusly affecting other streamers, you are negatively affecting other streams and potentially removing revenue. If someone came to your job and started messing up stuff and your boss payed you less, you would want the store to prevent them coming in. Permban is rough, and should be more like a year ban at max unless people make a mistake twice.
I don't agree with you on one thing : we do not have to pick a side. You said you'd be on the human side because they have less resources than mega corporations, and I get that. But I will never be on the side of a human that is not genuinely trying to get better. I'm not taking any sides in this case
Coryxkenshin I feel like is legitimate stand alone thing. Now did jiddion see that and wanted to do the same? Idk who is to tell but I feel like I doubt that.
In a perfect world Twitch has consistent punishments for breaches in Terms of Service AND Jidion owns up to the fact that some of his pranks can go a little far and lead to bad situations. Edit: no need to tell me what Jidion has done and what he’s apologized for. I genuinely enjoy his channel and understand he doesn’t want beef with anyone, I’m just saying that showing up at twitch con and getting banned (although he did nothing wrong other than make people uncomfortable) isn’t a good look if you’re trying to get back on twitch. And if he’s not trying to get back on twitch then maybe he should have made the “twitch is sexist” video BEFORE going and trolling them at twitch con. I’m just saying if he wants to run an outrageous pranks channel then he should understand that can have negative consequences.
why would he have to own up for his pranks? He apologized and made amends with Poki, the reason he was banned, not cause of his YT pranks. He only went to twitch con cause he threw in the towel essentially and doesn’t care about being unbanned anymore. The video is meant to hold them accountable and answer, not a plea for why he should be unbanned.

How is he not in the right at this point, he really hasnt done anything to disrupt twitches business, the security let him into twitch con, he didn’t break in through a window, the call was clearly a joke, he was wearing a mustache for no reason
@@cubegamer0761 dude what are you on about. Literally he is adding fuel to the fire fucking with twitch with the charity call and sneaking into twitch con and making a video out of it. Ludwig said it perfectly, "he's trying to have his cake and eat it too"
Hey Ludwig, this is a great video, particularly the analysis at the halfway point onwards that the vast majority of hair trigger commenters haven't seen yet. I think a vital piece of this story that you're the only one I've seen talk about is that Jidion is maybe one of the worst people to be making the arguments about Twitch's unfair bans given his history with the platform. One thing I have to disagree with is the idea that either we gotta support Jidion or be inadvertently supporting Twitch, when I don't think it's a binary issue. Why can't we detach questions about Twitch's discriminatory and weird (especially in regards to women) ban policies from Jidion? What'll happen because of this attachment of the two issues (twitch's ban policies and Jidion's specific ban) is that if Twitch wants to make this go away for a while, they can just unban Jidion, or ban the women in his video, which will appease his fanbase and feel like a victory even though nothing's changed as always. It feels pretty shortsighted to me, especially as someone who's been seeing this same exact cycle of news with Twitch's ban policies repeat itself over the last 5+ (minimum) years, over and over. With your fanbase you could probably introduce a stronger counter narrative than one so strongly tied to Jidion, although that might put you in a weird position as a RUclips guy. Regardless, it's still great that you brought up Jidion's past with regards to bans, it's something completely missed in the current narrative.
He made that video shortly after Cory did. It's pretty clear that he's trying to ride the latest controversy after seeing the impact it made and more importantly, how many views it got.
@@AlienfromY841 it’s the perfect time to talk about it though imo. When one creator starts a moment of outing big streaming platforms then it’s only right other creators are gonna join.
i think a lot of people forgot the context of when he got banned as well - hate raids were probably at their height at the time, and people were flaming twitch for never doing anything. and everything you said, i agree.
I absolutely think twitch,RUclips, etc have inconsistent af ban policies, and I understand that in their world it’s hard to set pure 100% guidelines to follow especially as the scene evolves and changes. But seriously, is this not a difference of two cases having different intentions? One streamer had sex, knew it was wrong and tried to hide it, got caught through a reflection, 1 week ban. Sex isn’t bad, it just not allowed on the site, so ban is maybe not quite as long as you’d expect but certainly isn’t perma worthy imo. The other streamer WANTED to harass a big streamer, sent people after them, then got mad on other platforms and took a long time to back down. And now currently still isn’t asking nicely, but instead is making content about it and twitch could view some instances as harassment still. Listen man, I don’t think a single hate raid should get a person permad, if he wanted to instantly apologize, start saying he knew it was wrong but thought it could be a joke to push past, didn’t want to cause harm. That doesn’t seem to be the route taken. Why should twitch take that lightly?
100% agree with this take, I am kinda confused on what they want to happen to the girl that had sex on stream? Do they want her perma banned or just a longer ban? Also no way in hell is having sex on stream worse than conducting an harrasment campaign agaisnt the face of twitch.
For Twitch, Jidion is just an unwanted and problematic creator and his behavior keeps making it worse. I think if it was just the hate raid and after he apologized without going on his Twitter rampage he def would’ve gotten off way lighter
Hey Lud, just a heads up, Jidion stated at some point in his video that he doesn't care if he's unbanned at this point because he's sticking with youtube. He's more so talking about his friends like Kai and YRG being banned for silly reasons and Dr. Disrespect still not having the info regarding his ban released. He knows he's not going back so he went all out.
Yeah I see what you mean, he states that in the video but its still important to address cause many of the tweets he and others make are suggesting he SHOULD be unbanned. It's fair Lud clarifies on that point
Love the content here! Also, It seems as if Twitch is trying to grow up with its original community rather than appeal to new audiences in reference to the ending idea
To a certain degree it makes sense because people have more money the older they are. However I think this is a generational issue. The partner managers of Twitch streamers are probably not that much older than the streamers themselves. How are they supposed to understand any of the internet culture of todays teens? Maybe it's just me that's out of touch but I think they really need to hire new and younger managers to keep up with this (and honestly the same can be said for a lot of other groups that have their own culture)
no, because if that was true jidion wouldn't have made up with poki, rug and tommy for their previous beefs, instead i think he actually tried to make up, he never had a beef that lasted over a month because he could easily get along with people and doesn't truly hate them, i'm sure he regrets his mistakes.
The thing with this is that Jidion is not trying to get unbanned. He doesn't care about that anymore, so him doing this in "bad faith" is not really true. Even better, he has nothing to lose and because of this he is the perfect fit to be the "anti-Twitch guy". We need someone like him to stand up and cause a lil'bit of chaos for the greater good and hopefully see change from Twitch soon...
I hope this incident doesn't make people forget that jideon IS A BAD ACTOR. He's literally using this incident to piggy back into getting a chance of being unbanned.
In my opinion, a lot of this current conversation glosses over about how fucked up it is to send a 'hate raid' to someone. Especially when everybody who has ever been on the internet should know how stuff like this can and will escalate. Shorter bans should be warnings for some minor accident, like your example with the media share incident, or overstepping rules that you didn't exactly know about. Obviously 'accidentally' breaking TOS with adult content probably involves very little good faith from the offender aswell and I agree that someone having sex on stream should get them permanently banned as there is no universe where that person does not realize that they are stepping just slightly outside TOS, but harassing someone else on the platform with zero remorse and then arguing his mistake was not as bad because he sorted things out with the victim afterwards does warrant a permanent ban for me. That guy knew what he was doing and did it anyways.
imo if the person and person have 0 bad blood and made up then it should be resolved, granted obviously you cant do it again then i think its worth a perma but he made a video of him understanding why thats wrong and i believe it, i dont watch the guy. not even subbed on yt but i do understand that people make mistakes and that if they understand those mistakes and learn then i think undoing the perma would be optimal
the thing is he only told his chat to spam L+ratio and his viewers took it too far, jidion was a hella new streamer and didnt know that his viewers would start dming her viewers. after the ban he GENUINELY felt bad and apologized to her in private and they made up in person and are still friends to this day, yet instead of an unban they extended his 14 day ban to a perma. meanwhile somebody who actually threatens to shoot up the twitch HQ gets their ban reduced??
While I agree with you wholeheartedly, both were permaban offenses and the girl only got banned for 7 days whereas Jidion DID get a permaban. This shows clear favoritism of some form, whether it's sexism or racism or anything of the like. They should both be permabanned in my opinion. The point of this whole argument was not whether or not they deserved permabans, but whether or not Twitch expressed some sort of favoritism.
There may be sexism going on in twitch but this jidion comparison to that girl is foolish. I dont remember the girl trolling twitch events and staff members after the ban. Ofcourse their suspension will be turned permanent, why would company want to ever work with them again

If Twitch started allowing hate raids, it would fall apart. If Twitch started actually permabanning all sexual content, it might not be as bad but the company would definitely take a hit. The 2 things aren't remotely comparable from a purely economical point of view
Did u watch jidion vid? He doesn’t even care about being unbanned from twitch anymore and gives valid points. His friends have been given unfair treatment like kai cenats ban for a whole month and yourrage ban for his profile pic even though there was nothing wrong with it and had to go on to Twitter to get twitch to unban him

2 things. 1. thanks for out Jideon for making his video in bad faith, it's not obvious to teenagers that he is being highly manipulative with how he presents the situation. 2. thank you for referencing how consistently terrible the twitch mod team has been for years. People don't remember, but the issue of favoritism has been a huge issue for so long. This week a women got banned for showing cleavage while playing a game while their are entire categories that allow women in bikinis. All the power to everyone who does these, but there are still people perma banned with no reasons given as well as dozens of women who have shown much less on stream and others who had seconds of a clip with a naked person in it. you have to remember, most people who work for twitch don't know anyone in the mod team. None of the mod team have any social media. there is no way for anyone to contact the mod team. now this info might be outdated, but I highly doubt it.
How is he being manipulative when in his own video he said he didn't care about getting unbanned, his suspension wasn't even the focus of the video. He was speaking mainly on behalf of other creators who are still subject to Twitch's favoritism.
This is a horrible comment. Yeah, they allow it in some places, so go there? Using more words does not mean you're actually saying anything of substance.

Honestly, I like seeing the difference between the two videos that were uploaded about RUclips with Corry and Twitch with the other guy. One is wholesome and a sweetheart and the other is a prankster which isn't as wholesome and friendly.
I think most of the Twitch staff, who are responsible for moderation, see the communities surrounding certain content creators and depending on how toxic said communities and their respective content creators are the moderators are more strict towards the channel/s responsible for said communities, and that I am all for. I would rather Twitch break their own rules to keep toxic creators and the people said creators attract to Twitch off the platform, rather than just 'let them fly;' the race and gender of these people are irrelevant, it's the kind of people they are and the people they attract to Twitch as a whole that is a problem for Twitch. It technically would fall under favoritism, but I don't believe the favoritism is always unjustified or without good reason, at least not all the time.

ok this has to be the best mogul mail I've seen so far, I've loved every one but these takes I just fully agreed with, twitch is constantly evolving and changing over time, and its up to them if they want to embrace that change or push away from it. They really need to try their best when it comes to adapting to the community, and truly listen to what creators are saying. There are so many issues that keep coming up when it comes to how social media is used, and I feel like all I can do is hope that things change for the better :(
i’m glad you’re pointing out what jidion did wrong as well, since a lot of people seem to be ignoring that he did anything wrong at all. I don’t really interact with his content since his fan base spouts a lot of misogynistic / homophobic stuff that I don’t really like, not sure if that’s any fault of his though. thanks for talking abt this
Not watching somebody's videos because they have obnoxious fans is weird. Not to mention I haven't seen a ton of examples of that being true about Jidion's channel, Everybody has irritating fans and the most obnoxious are usually the loudest. When you have 6 mil subs some of them are going to be degenerates
Surprising take. I get where Lud is coming from. Sure, bans and Twitch are inconsistent and frustrating, but I hope everyone can understand the difference between showing a private part as apposed to maliciously hate raiding someone else to tear them down for little to no reason. Yeah, both go against the ToS but it's like someone breaking the law by going 30 miles per hour over the speed limit and another person purposely crashing their car into someone else since that other person's car is...I don't know, purple. You'd probably be a lot more comfortable letting the person who broke the speed limit back on the road rather than the person ramming their car into other vehicles. Sure, maybe the people who were in the wreck settled things but not a lot of good faith to go off of if someone was so quick to do something so harmful. Maybe they won't do the exact same thing again but could very well do something similar. Especially like Lud said, they have been pretty disingenuous since the whole fallout of the situation. Again no real good faith to go off of.
That’s the opposite of what he said, he did say how it shouldn’t be minimized what jideon did, but it is inconsistent and at another point called the other band more heinous
Hahaha. By your logic, the pornstar is literally just going to have sex on stream again. Why does your forgiveness spread to the pretty women, but not everyone else?
I agree. Having sex on stream is against Twitch TOS, but I'd argue that spreading hate and attacking another streamer+community totally unprompted is far more harmful, for the example it sends to the viewers. The death threat girl maybe also shouldn't have been unbanned, but I guess hers were only words spoken by herself on one occasion, not an entire community weaponised and sent out to spread hate.
tbh I think both can be reasonably perma banned, Jidion was maliciously hate raiding with bad intentions (correct me if I'm wrong) and still doing it after he learned that what he did was wrong still goes on this whole rant, the girl was also irresponsible to bang knowing that she was live, even if she thought no one would notice its still irresponsible, although I'm not gonna decide which is worse cause frankly getting into an argument with a stranger about little inconsistencies is pointless, I do want to point out that Jidion did have a choice to do this rationally and think about his consequences or throw a tantrum. But again I still do think that both were in the wrong
It must feel good being a favorited person on Twitch like they can burn down a whole orphanage and live stream it and Twitch will just laugh with you. It's equivalent to the 'Monopoly Get Out Of Jail Free Card'
I do think there’s something to be said for the perspective of like… streaming porn isn’t targeting/harming someone, whereas if you’re harassing or targeting a user/creator that maybe deserves a stronger punishment. But if that’s twitch’s stance they need to just… say so, lol. I feel like if they want to make bans for some behavior more severe that’d be ok (I’m sure some people would be unhappy with it, but that’s always gonna be the case) if they like, give people the info. If they’re transparent. But I have no idea if that’s what they’re going for bc they aren’t transparent about it
I love that he's crying about unfair his unban is while tiptoeing around the reason he was banned in the first place. Is showing nudity on stream bad? Yes. Should these streamers move to another platform? Yes. Should you be unbanned for sending malicious hate raids and creating week-long harassment campaigns against other content creators? No. The whole twitch is sexist thing comes off as a disingenuous attempt to shift blame onto others while never actually addressing his wrong doing.
While I do agree that sending the hate raid was bad, but I do agree that being banned for something that has been resolved is not okay. Plus twitch has not just said "We're gunna keep you banned for your hate raid". Their just completely ignoring him and the fact that he's banned.
Well, tbf, the streamers involved solved their issues and jidion apologized. I'd understand a 1-2 year ban or something, but a perma ban? Idk. I kinda agree/disagree, because he just broke twitch TOS several times for several days unlike the girls who showed their skin way too much for just a couple of seconds. However, he apologized at the end of the day.
Twitch has a history of being sexist and he and pokimane are literally chill now. The one person who was actually affected by jidion is friends with him so what’s the problem now.
Twitch needs to come out and state what type of actions can get you perma banned, and then they need to uphold that. Cause right now, it's almost like they have a random generator deciding on the amount to ban ppl.
I'd love to see you talk about the MXR situation, youtube constantly gives them trouble or outright demonitizes their entire channel, which they did again recently.
Man Ludwig you are doing great! It’s awesome being able to see you change and grow and just be a great guy through these years and through your videos. I remember one taking a video that didn’t have a chat was difficult but look at you now! Your doing great and changing lives for the better.
Hes said he doesn't even plan to go back to Twitch since he's doing fine on RUclips, but he wants the best for the platform since he has friends on it.
I think there are a couple problems comparing the bans because the content of the ban was different. While I do think a 7 day ban is ridiculous, hate raiding is an active problem that also bleeds into other creators. And like Ludwig said, how he acted after the ban was what made it into a permaban. I’m also concerned that now people will take “twitch is sexist to men” and use it against female creators/women in general. Just seems like a publicity thing that will end up hurting women even more
But this is hurting men though. For years now twitch has openly favored female streamers over male streamers this has been going on for a long long time.
@@chrismarple Yes it is hurting men, but is it sexist towards men? No, it's sexist towards women. It's benevolent sexism towards women. In their eyes women must be protected so that twitch can make a profit off of women in the misogynistic "sex sells" manner. Sexism towards women hurts both men and women.
I think you could tell with the way Jidion came into your stream that one night and was trying his hardest to attack Twitch with everything that it really wasn't going to be in good faith. Had he just taken his ban, became friends with pokimane, and squashed the beef by stating what was wrong, I'd be fully on board with having him back on twitch even though I don't personally care but it seems to be a pattern with him to troll hard and I could also understand why Twitch wouldn't want him back. Though, sex on stream is insane. permaban seems like a reasonable punishment but 7 days? not even a month? It's kinda like what moist said which was that it's basically cosigning the behavior but I could also see that if it were to happen again that they wouldn't give her a second chance.
Didn't Know Bout Mogul Mail & Was Pleasantly Surprised Been Really Enjoying The Content Style Quick,Concise,Personal & Informative Hope Lud Keeps Posting On It In The Future 👍
I think at this point he doesn't care about being banned, it is more that he got a life time ban while these other streamers got a slap on the wrist for an "equal" crime.
The thing is, the people who had sex on stream only hurt THEMSELVES. Jidion was harassing/hurting OTHERS using his fanbase. Twitch definitely has it's issues but I don't think Jidion was doing this because it's "sexist" but because he failed to see the difference in damge between those few clips and what he did that was worthy of a permanent ban then just a few days suspension.

@@LasermanSteam there were advertisers associating with 4chan?
@@ratedpending contrary to popular belief, 4chan has more than just /pol/ and /b/

@loll perma ban might have been excessive but a ban for 3 months or more feels that it would be sufficient
Ludwig thank you for actually calling your friends out on their bullshit. If everyone did that, the world would be much better
As you mentioned, what makes a much better comparison is people who accidentally showed explicit material vs her blatant and _intentional_ violation of Twitch’s TOS.
breaking the same issue as if it were 2 separate issues, hypocricy much? your parents didnt tell you about hypocricy yet so you think this is fine?
His point wasn't about the content, but about sexism. He said female streamers get much lesser punishment for equally perma bannable behavior, regardless if the offense fits in a different category or not.
The issue is twitch is never consistent with their punishments across genders. The punishment for the men is always far more severe even if the crimes the same
U just said it yourself🤣 both should be perma banned so if he’s not let back on why should she ?😭

If Twitch posted banning guidelines, not just TOS, and actually followed those guidelines in a transparent way, no one would be able to say anything. they can't because there's seperate rules for males and females. females are allowed to get away with much, much more. twitch staff have been arrested for raping male streamers. it's a completely fucked up company.
But yeah.
Disagree. Where’s free speech nowadays? If you think words are harassment even more so ONLINE you need to stop being so soft. You know all the simps and blue hairs behind twitch banned jidion cuz he hurt their queen.
I think it's more about him wanting to get back at twitch for being unfair, and I am all for trolling that company.

I don't think he's trying to get unbanned, he's just pointing out Twitch's corruption.
I’m just saying if he wants to run an outrageous pranks channel then he should understand that can have negative consequences.
jidion already does that...
why would he have to own up for his pranks? He apologized and made amends with Poki, the reason he was banned, not cause of his YT pranks. He only went to twitch con cause he threw in the towel essentially and doesn’t care about being unbanned anymore. The video is meant to hold them accountable and answer, not a plea for why he should be unbanned.

Regardless, it's still great that you brought up Jidion's past with regards to bans, it's something completely missed in the current narrative.

he said in the video that he doesn't want to go back to twitch, he just wants a explanation
YES EXACTLY!!

To a certain degree it makes sense because people have more money the older they are. However I think this is a generational issue. The partner managers of Twitch streamers are probably not that much older than the streamers themselves. How are they supposed to understand any of the internet culture of todays teens? Ludwig made such a mogul move by uploading more on this channel.

All the power to everyone who does these, but there are still people perma banned with no reasons given as well as dozens of women who have shown much less on stream and others who had seconds of a clip with a naked person in it.

Eh I think they are fairly comparable situations. Actually the sex on twitch is worse imo

Man Ludwig you are doing great! It’s awesome being able to see you change and grow and just be a great guy through these years and through your videos. I remember one taking a video that didn’t have a chat was difficult but look at you now! Your doing great and changing lives for the better.
glad to see his journalism degree is being put to good use
Jidion feels like he is constantly trying to get out of prison when all he had to do was confess and then keep his head down and do his time.
milk me
Do his time? It's permanent.
wym they gave him a perma ban
How come he has to do his time when a girl who got fucked on stream then made threats doesnt
great metaphor
Dont ever take anything personal if you haven't shared a meal in their home..
In the video, he's made it clear he doesn't want to be unbanned from twitch.
Bad faith or not, the issues he's brought up are legitimate. Twitch needs to be consistent with its punishments, regardless of demographic.
I feel like even if jidion gets unbanned he's just going to do something worse and get banned again
Not even the point of the whole thing
Hes said he doesn't even plan to go back to Twitch since he's doing fine on RUclips, but he wants the best for the platform since he has friends on it.
@@bingus4057 yeah right ... that's bullshit.
Way worse things have happened on twitch and those creators haven't been banned and never will be.
@@KlintKaras well I've seen your previous comments you're obviously just a jidion hater. Have a good life
always much love lud ty for the entertainment consistently
He did apologize, that’s why sneako is constantly bringing it up and saying he shouldn’t have
"Even if the person is acting in bad faith, I still think it's worth it to side with that person"
HAHAHAHAHAHA PLEASE DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE SERIOUS
I think there are a couple problems comparing the bans because the content of the ban was different. While I do think a 7 day ban is ridiculous, hate raiding is an active problem that also bleeds into other creators. And like Ludwig said, how he acted after the ban was what made it into a permaban. I’m also concerned that now people will take “twitch is sexist to men” and use it against female creators/women in general. Just seems like a publicity thing that will end up hurting women even more
yep!! thanks for saying that. nudity/having sex on stream and harassment are not comparable.
But this is hurting men though. For years now twitch has openly favored female streamers over male streamers this has been going on for a long long time.
a 1 time hate raide offense is nothing compared to constant visible porn and terrorist threats TO THE COMPANY's HQ........
Couldn't agree with the entire video more. The entire video was accurate.
Didn't Know Bout Mogul Mail & Was Pleasantly Surprised Been Really Enjoying The Content Style Quick,Concise,Personal & Informative Hope Lud Keeps Posting On It In The Future 👍
no the end wasn't a ramble...that was the realest shit you said the whole video
I think at this point he doesn't care about being banned, it is more that he got a life time ban while these other streamers got a slap on the wrist for an "equal" crime.
The thing is, the people who had sex on stream only hurt THEMSELVES. Jidion was harassing/hurting OTHERS using his fanbase. Twitch definitely has it's issues but I don't think Jidion was doing this because it's "sexist" but because he failed to see the difference in damge between those few clips and what he did that was worthy of a permanent ban then just a few days suspension.
There are millions of kids on twitch. I think having sex on stream would be a pretty big issue and hurt a lot more people.
He did not deserve to be perma banned and why you dipshits still butthurt when the person he was “harassing” is over it and actual made up with him, yall have no common sense🤦♂️.
Yeah actually that makes sense. I was thinking he’s absolutely just riding the current of “YT is racist“ , just like when he tried to ride on poki’s fame in the first place:/
How are you comparing having sex in twitch which has thousands of children watching to someone raiding saying "l + ratio" in joking way? Most of the time jidion is just fooling around
@@raghuroxx3645 thank you someone with common sense , you’re a rare bread my guy a lot of people in this comment section lack common sense it’s just a waste of time trying to explain something to them. 🤦♂️
Jidion in his video said he doesn’t care about getting unbanned on Twitch because he’s having fun on RUclips, and for the video of where he’s going to twitch con yeah he wanted to rile up some stuff but he’s genuinely a fan of Tommy, I don’t think he’s fighting disingenuously, I feel like it’s one of those things that’s happens and laugh it off after and kinda just joke about and tease about it, I think what he’s doing now is actually standing up for the favoritism and sexism that Twitch actually has shown to be a thing because he’s obviously dealt with it
2:35 i had to pause this right at the moment to make sure it was not what i was thinking it was
He’s not trying to get unbanned Lud
Lud, Mogul Mail is one of the best ideas youve ever had
