God Bless you Lumedia! I have been through the ringer with drop shipping companies, and silkscreen shops, I am a Graphic Designer and obviously have had an interest in all this stuff but hit a hard spot with another job, saw this video on the side panel and clicked it. You shook me out of my head, and led me down the HTV rabbit hole. I can't thank you enough for the info in your videos. I have bought the things I need and have my self a nice setup. Good video, Lumedia. I purchased a US Cutter 871 a couple of years ago. Their software, VinylMaster is really good and competitive with the rest of the stuff out there. I am self-taught, it took me about a year to master the software. Now I have a website and I do decals for folks around my area by word of mouth. Nothing technically gets printed. The vinyl cutter just cuts the design into the vinyl. You select the color you want. Then place that color on the machine. Select your design to be cut, and send it from your computer. After that you have to weed out the decal. Once it’s weeded out you put transfer paper on it and boom your done.
Good stuff bro! I've been dabbling the vinyl game for a little while, mostly decals. Nothing professional, more of a side hustle. I do have a question though, I'm not sure if it's my heat press or the type of shirts I use but I get a crazy discoloration on the shirt. I do the quick initial press to smooth out the shirt then apply the graphic, graphic looks good and all but where the heat platter hits the shirt leaves an almost "burnt" square. Thankfully I did a bunch test shirts for myself and saw this before offering this service to my hustle. I've followed the manufacturing heat settings and also check the platter at all 4 corners and the middle with an infrared temperature gun ( non of them match in temp). So my work around for now, is to just heat press the whole shirt so it doesn't look so bad. Sorry for the long post/comment but, I was just curious if you had any tricks to combat this... Great information and really appreciate the links to the stuff you use..

We're about to order transfer paper & was thinking of going with opaque heat transfer paper for dark shirts...is this a good choice with an Epson WF-7710 inkjet printer? And do u use sublimation bulk inks or dye based inks? what INKS transfer the most vibrant color for Tshirts? Trying to handle my own Music clothing brand instead of having to spend money on designers that we need for our music biz... Really appreciate any info u could give us....thx. Also do u know which 5 in 1 heat press is the most durable?....or are the 5 in 1 heat press machines not worth buying?
The paper is great! I’m sure it will work just as good with the Epson, just make sure to use the Same settings I mentioned. No sublimation ink is required with this paper. Just regular ink. As for the heat press, I don’t use an all in one because I feel the cable for attachments is cheap on the lower end ones. That being said I do not own one. I have a separate heat press for each thing.

I found AI hard to use in school with a mouse...Procreate seems to draw in vector-type lines. I wanted to design drawings on my iPad and then print them on heat transfer paper for t-shirts. Have you used it before?
You can definitely use procreate to make your designs! I have an iPad Air 3 with Apple Pencil and I do most of my drawings there and just bring it into ai to make it a cuttable .svg file.

Hey thank for the info you have provided, I just bought a mk2 721 us cutter used of Craigslist but the guys did not have the software that came with it. I have downloaded the inkscape, can I cut vinyl right out from the inkscape. I didn't know that I had to pay for the us cutter software. Please let me know if printing from Inkscape is possible.
Is it better to make t shirt designs and upload them on Amazon or to print the designs on t shirts and sell the t shirts (establish t shirt bunissness)? The way I look at it is that, why would I bother dealing with printing, shipment etc.. while I can just make the designs and upload them on Amazon and Amazon take care of the rest? Am I missing something?
Well that would depend on the type of business you have. If its just your own branded apparel you are selling, then yes something like a print on demand would work fine. Except that would be about the only thing that would benefit. Having your own equipment allows you to make custom things as customers come to you. Most will want things within a certain window of time. Not to mention most Print on Demand websites (printful in this example) I have heard are not the best. I have never used on in the past so I cant 100 percent say its full truth. But ive heard enough bad things about them.

I use the Neena 3g opaque dark garment paper. It is listed in the links!
You prefer Neena g3 over Oracle?
Do you know of any cutters compatible with Mac other than the Cricut and Silhouette?
The one I have listed works with Mac. The software sure cuts a lot pro works on both windows and Mac.
Lumedia Really? Thank you. I’ll look into that one.
No problem! If you have any more questions let me know!
Lumedia Thank you, all the cutters I’ve looked at say not compatible with Mac including the one you showed. I just wanted to ask someone who’s actually used it, thanks again.
What type of printer is that and the paper type to use ?
Hey what’s up bro where do you get your vinyl from ?
Fellers, us cutter, amazon, locally at a store called aviva.
Thanks for the video! It’s awesome!
If I may ask what type heat vinyl do you use and why temperature are you setting up on your heat press? Thanks in advance
Many say if you press the shirt first for a few seconds it will knock out those wrinkles..
Lol are you talking about the shirt on the table? I haven’t even prepped it to be pressed, so I would say those people are right!
Thanks for the information. I am thinking about starting my own little business since I am disabled it would be a little bit more income.
Updated video coming out soon! But yes!!! Do it, I believe in you!!
Great video dude! Best one I've found so far!

Fort Worth in da house, here!
Ayyy!!
Can the Vinyl cutter only cut in white or does it have a Ink slot?
Can only cut one color at a time. It is not a printer.
Whats the difference with the heat press and vinyl?...
could you be a bit more specific with the question?
Have you ever uploaded straight from photoshop to the uscutter program?
I have not! If I’m doing a decal I design it in illustrator then save it as an SVG file and import to sure cuts a lot!
Hi,,
Is photoshop free to use ? Not in description. Thank you !
It’s not, but you can use gimp, photopea, Inkscape all for free
@@Lumedia awesome, thank you!
No problem at all!!
Do you wash with hot or cold water in the washer?
Subscribed !!! Pricing ? How do you price your shirts and where do you buy your shirts from ?? 😁
Pricing varies! I use shirts from Walmart and michaels. If you want a good site to order large quantities check out jiffyshirts.com!
