    I ordered a thumper exhaust system for my champion ice bear 125 I bought it from trail Buddy here in Michigan. Bart motors company in Orange county California he sells one an exhaust I believe it comes in two different colors? But you Can tune it. He sells separate the tuner mechanism for his exhaust system

    Off topic but I’d like to thank you again for your other video on the Delrin bushings for the swingarm. I did both of my clones and that, tires and different rear shocks make these Icebear Champions great riding bikes.

    I've got the aftermarket exhaust like the thumper and sounds a little bit different than yours, don't like the sound when you cut the throttle but definitely outperforms stock. The other one you first had on there that discolored the blinker sounded good but looks off with rest of the bike.

    • @yeksun
      @yeksun  2 года назад +1

      I agree . In person it doesnt sound quite as bad when you let off the throttle but it still is a weird sound. Overall I like it. The other one would be better if the pipe wasnt aiming the muffler at the turnsignal. I agree that it sounds better. But in reallife it sounded a little raspy . I would be happy with either one.

      @@yeksun just took mine for a spin I believe it is the same as your thumper it just sounds different when you're on the bike riding it then when someone has a camera and your driving away on the bike. Also mine is a Lifan 2007 clone 110cc four speed with a clutch which makes a great difference than the semi-automatic which I had back in 1976 on a real CT70 Honda back in the day

    Did you notice a significant performance difference between the Amazon and the Thumpstar? Was the flow different enough that you had to re-jet? The tip of that Thumpstar looks like it may accommodate a stock CT70 flame arrestor baffle if if you wanted a “stealth” mode.

    • @yeksun
      @yeksun  3 года назад +1

      I did not notice a performance difference between the two I tested . But keep in mind between a stock pipe and the thumper you would notice a big difference. The only reason I didnt was because I already had a free flowing exhaust on there. I left the jetting the same as I had it for the other exhaust and that seems fine. Im glad that you found the other video helpful about the swing arm. I cant believe the difference with those bushings. I ride this bike everywhere.

    Hey man quick question! I have the same mikuni carb .. what is your screw position for air/fuel ratio . My bike seems to bog out bad then die while I’m riding . I’m currently rocking with a 115 main jet and the 50$ Amazon performance exhaust.

    • @yeksun
      @yeksun  3 года назад +2

      HI, I am not really sure how many turns out it is . Its a pain because the screw can only be turned if you take off the carb, so I bought one that you can do with your fingers.
      www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LF69WVL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      But My settings are : I have a 120 jet and I set the clip on the needle on the notch closest to the pointy end, that is to say furthest from the cable. I hope this helps. The carb is a vm22. It runs great.

    On a 4 stroke, a modified pipe isn't going to change the performance much .😊

    • @yeksun
      @yeksun  Месяц назад

      Unless the stock pipe is very restricted , which it is.
      This video is comparing 2 aftermarket pipes in the interest of sound quality.
      An aftermarket pipe is an improvement over the stock. Its just a matter of which one you like the sound of.

    Is the thumper exhaust a direct bolt on? No modification needed?

    • @yeksun
      @yeksun  2 года назад

      Yes. In my case the part that bolts to the shock mount seemed a little off. but it was no big deal. I just bent it ever so slightly and it fit just fine. Overall I really like it.

    Ok.. why do all these clones actually say Honda on them?

    • @yeksun
      @yeksun  2 года назад +3

      Very good question. This style of bike was made by honda years ago. It was called a CT70. It is no longer made. A Chinese company called Ice Bear copied the design and called it a Champion. There are other company's that have done this over the years as well. Of course they cant sell them with the Honda stickers on them. Lots of people have very fond memories of owning the old hondas. So since it looks the same with the exception of it not saying Honda , people will just buy the stickers and put them on the bike . Now it looks just like or more like the Honda they remember. Some people feel funny about doing this so there are some people who put stickers that say CHONDA in the same font as the Honda stickers. This stands for " Chinese Honda". There are lots of things that are "Cloned" With collector cars you may find for instance a Chevelle SS clone. Which means the car when new was not a SS. But the owner bought the badges and stickers and made it look like an SS . I am always sure to tell people the whole story and not have them believe it is a real Honda. Of course anyone who is familiar with these bikes would already know that. Hope that helps.
