Great install video, made it super easy! 2 question, what does the FPV angle mix do and why is it not on Acro? and my OSD has half of your info but I'm running a later version of Emu, any ideas why? Again, thanks
Thanks! Happy it helps. I think FPV angle mix has something to do with the fact that how the quad turns in Emuflight in stabilized mode is different than in acro mode. Normally, when you make a left turn in acro mode and you want to keep your horizon leveled, you move both the yaw and the roll stick at the same time. What Emu does differently is it pretty much lets you do turns with mostly (only) yaw stick input in stable mode. So I think FPV angle mix is something that helps them adjust that value. I don't really use it much. For the OSD config, just jump to the OSD tab and tweak things how you like them, shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. Good luck and happy flying!
I have a Mobula 6 HD that I converted to a 75mm frame and 40mm props. My question is, can I load PMB settings or EMU Flight onto this set up and get benefit? I love having a HD camera on a whoop but frankly this quad has always flown "wonky" for me both as a 65mm and now as a 75mm. I recently changed the throttle setting to 75% in my Open TX transmitter. This helped some but it still is not as manageable as other whoops I fly. My Emax Tiny Hawk II for example. Any suggestions?
I have not tested that. I would imagine, however, that they should have a specific tune for a mobula7. There are some motor and size differences and I wouldn't use the same settings on both.
Hey! Followed your exact steps setting up EMU but after one flight I get no OSD apart from the first osd when you plug it in telling you welcome to betaflight.... I cant arm and It doesnt bind. I have to reset everything for it to work again. Any ideas? Thanks!
Wow, that's bit weird for sure. I would start by checking the project's site or facebook page. This is a really fast moving project and if this is a known issue, I'd assume someone had posted some info there already. The other thing is that by now, a few months later, they might have released newer improved versions where the issue is resolved. Try that maybe, hope you get it sorted.
Did you try already the new emu version 0.3.x with the new PMB config. It didn't work for me. For my Mob6 25k it's highly overtuned. I can fly angle mode if I take down the pids to around 70% of the PMB config. I would be happy to see your results...
That would be interesting to try out, but unfortunately I don't think I'll have the time to try it out any time soon. Have a number of other projects and my time has been very limited to work on hobby stuff lately, sadly. Very much looking forward to being able to spend some more time on these things as soon as possible!
very nice video! I have set mine up like this and love how it flies. BUT!!!...when I switch to Acro mode, it has no forward flight! It will fly up, but it won't fly forward. Can you give me an idea why? Do you have a fix for that? Thanks so much! :)
Sure, so first double check your channel map settings on the receiver tab, if the order is correct. There you can also check the stick input and see if the pitch axis moves towards higher values when you deflect the pitch stick forward. If all good, it could perhaps be working but the values it outputs to be too small. It could also be just a rates issue which you can adjust on the PID tuning tab. Try those.
@@FPVtips I will, thanks! But, wouldn't I get no pitch forward in Horizon and Stabilized mode too? It's just in Acro mode. Hmmm, if I flip the switch to acro mode on the receiver tab, will it change how the sticks move while in Emuflight, vs. in Horizon mode? Interesting...I'll look into it.
I am giving Emuflight a go. I'm setting up Emuflight LUA script and the pids.lua file has the same name as the Betaflight file hence it isn't working for me. Have you run in to this error and did you find a solution to it? If not do you know somewhere I can go for support with this sort of problem?
Hmm never had that issue, but then again, I've never used LUA scripts that much. I'd check the FB group or the Emuflight GitHub page for known issues first and maybe even reach out to them.
Good question. Most of the settings would for sure, but just to be on the safe side, do double check if they don't have any specific 25000kv version of the settings.
I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure you can setup EmuFlight and PMB on the Mobula7 too. However, do NOT use the settings for the Mobula6; Instead google or check the FB group about info on how to set it up on the Mob7 specifically. Good luck!
It can happen I've heard in some cases. Do a full chip erase and check one of the numerous firmware flashing and debugging videos out there. There are a bunch of different steps and things to try depending on your operating system, drivers and others.
I'm in the camp of the ppl that are not particularly big fans of emuflight in terms of flight characteristics, but I understand what they're after. Like most things, it's pretty subjective, I would also add that in my opinion, their stuff is intended for racing, and given how small my house is, I can't reliably demo it in those conditions 😅

This is very well made good job. Have you have any issues with smart audio on emu flight ?
Not really, been working fine as far as I can tell.
cheers man answered every question i had

Great video, this works on mobula7 f3 ?
I have not tested that. I would imagine, however, that they should have a specific tune for a mobula7. There are some motor and size differences and I wouldn't use the same settings on both.
If i fly this in a lot of wind will this be a good upgrade? Or is this for indoor racing

Can I upload the pmb file even though I have a crazy bee f3dx

Would the hex files be different for a moblite6?
Thanks for the vid. Do you get the FC board resets where below 3.0 volts the the board loses all its parameters and they all have to be re-loaded?
No, I haven't had such issues.Did that happen to you?
pretty impressive, i know my comment a bit outdated, how the durability of the quad, how many flight time u had with that quad ?
I know this is a late response but quad is crazy durable for its size and flight time is roughly 3 minutes for me with the 25k motors
This ^. My experience has been largely similar - tons of flights and crashes, no issues.

@@FPVtips so now the board wont even connect to the PC, it still lights up but it wont register that anything is connected
@@sye6143 did you have any luck recovering your Flight Controller board?
Can you please help me? I flashed the firmware and now the computer doesn't detect the drone, the impulserc does not work neither...
Weird. Restart the PC and try again. If it still fails, might have to do some more reseach.
@@FPVtips it's already done, thanks
do u like more bf or emu on the mob6?
Don't mind either too much. BF flies closer to what I'm normally used to.
does this work with xfire?
Haven't tested yet, but did get my Radio Master radio with a xfire module, so can test such things in the future.
+1👍 💪 Emu Emu EMu EmU, all the Emu's #EmuClub #EmuTestBandits
Woohooo, so Emu Flight, yea? :)
useless, emuconfiguator will not connect to bf. Oh, I can use the cli. pff use it for what
Yeah, just use emuconfigurator to flash emuflight and call it a day :)
This flys like shit.. super twitchy yaw
