How would you compare this to the BetaFPV Meteor 65? I'm leaning towards the Mobula6 and converting to BT2.0 connectors with 350mah batteries. Thanks for all your reviews!
@FredGlover This is lighter, higher performing and has a better camera. Downside is this board is very new and I always worry about long term use. I have about 100 flights and it has been very solid. But that is only one. I have requested 4 more boards to get a larger sample.

I got the 25000 kv version of the mobula 6, would you consider upgrading the battery connector to the new bt2.0? Absolutely love this quad and really don't fancy burning it up
Hey Nick, so I feel like for most 65mm whoops, the ph2.0 solid pin is probably plenty... but for this 25000kv, would the BT2 or gnb27 make a difference? Most of my whoops flying 65mm frames are running ph2, whereas I have been swapping my 75mm whoops and other 1s stuff to bt2.0 and gnb27.

Best means expensive generally. I would start with used equipment. Get some fatshark hdo goggles for cheap and an frsky x lite...not the current year model the older model, or buy a jumper t16 radio. Then add a charger, for 1s I use the one at the end of the video. Do you research on the equipment sellers...for sure.

So If i want a whoop for indoor racing, should i get the 19000kv ? I see the 25000kv version a Little bit overpower, more like a 2s whoop; for indoor flight . Maybe the sweet spot is the 22000kv

often with ph2.0 battery connection the connection itself is worn out, on one or both ends. BT2.0 and GNB27 is a much better micro connector. Also battery quality and care play a substantial role.
Tried all those already with no luck. Most have the 300s but not 350s. Guess I will just need to keep my eyes out for them. Got a m6 in route. Looking forward to going plaid with it! Thanks Nick.
I have a bunch of emax 450 mh batteries. Would these work for any version of the mobula 6? If so, would the speed and flight time be better? Thanks for the review.
The battery tray doesn't natively fit that size of battery. We would have to either mod the battery tray or find another way to keep the battery mounted to the quad.
Do you think this bears a mobula 7 with a throttle curve set at 75% ?? I love my mobula seven and have no problem flying it in side so is this smaller one even worth it the o my thing I see that’s better is the fact that it takes one lipo instead of two
Nick Burns I’ve never been able to fly with anyone cause no one around me flys so racing isn’t a option for me so looks like ima just stick with the m7 as like you said I like to feel like I’m flying a old racer and the 65mm just doesn’t get that same affect for me as a 75mm so thank you for your time would love o see a comparison review of the two and the pros of cons cause i know I can’t be the only one wondering if I should get it
So seeing you ripping this thing like that... whats up with the PW2.0 thing? Is it not needed at all? Would this improve if you chage the connector to PW2.0? Mylipo is releasing PW2.0 connectors soon
Thanks for the way you contribute to the hobby! Nice review. Waiting for delivery of mine :) Looking forward to your experience with the BT2.0. I have a few of those to try as well.

This is the next generation whoop. The all in one board weight savings really make a difference. Finally, a product not by BetaFPV !!! I'm still all good with my Mobula7's on 1S for indoor, but this looks promising !!!
While I haven't done it my self. We generally have two uarts on aio whoop boards. We can use one for an elrs rx. The soldering on these boards is super tiny though. I have done it a few times, be careful of using to much solder it can bleed over to another pad.
Just picked up a mobula 6, i have a literadio. It seems the mobula is binding via d8 but nothing is happening. It seems my Tx isnt doing anything on betaflight either. All protocols on betflight are correct. Im stumped.
@@NickBurnsFPV Yessir protocol is set correctly. Even tried d16, Radio came with the tyro 79s kit. Labeled as a "lite radio" so maybe its out of date? But id assume fr sky d8 is fr sky no matter what.

Mu mobula 6 just fell all out the sky and it doesnt want to arm anymore. How do I check whats the problem with it? Can i check in beta flight what the main issue is?
Hey Nick, just looking into FPV. What transmitter and googles would you recommend for this? Probably not going to get in too deep, but want something that can be used if I step up a level.
i like that. I wanna see you do the bt2.0 conversion asap, because I was thinking the same thing as soon as i saw the title and clicked the link to watch the video. The camera is way better than the one on the mobula 7. No yellow tinge, or weird glow around the lights. I like the way it performed as well. I'm probably going to get this in the 19k kv option, and do a bt2.0 convert. You say gnb is the battery to use? When is ship date anticipated to be?
@@i.v.2824 Boy its close, but I do think I prefer 2s in my house. I think if my space where smaller or less flight path friendly I would prefer mobula 6.

same gauge wire is fine. One tip is to have the other end of the connector connected while doing to the soldering. This keeps the copper connectors in place while heating/soldering.
Hi Nick, can you recommend any 2s batteries from banggood with the XT30 connector around the 500mah more or less that nicely fit the eachine trashcan? Cheers.
I would go GNB the best performing, lightest and most economical batteries for micros. In this case the 450mah should fit. I don't have the trashcan anymore. We can cut the battery tray off and run a strap through to run any battery :)
D16 does work, but it requires a version of opentx and radio firmware. My x-lite pro is stuck in EU mode. Need to get it going again. using the original x-lites still.
@@cinialvespow1054 the x lite pro doesn't do d8 mode, which has been the most reliable mode for these boards with spi receivers. Even in d16 mode if the x lite pro doesn't have the necessary version of opentx it might not bind to it in d16 unless updated. We can switch the binding mode in betaflight on the configuration page from frsky_x to frsky_d or the otherway around. The switching doesn't necessarily over come the radios limitation of binding. Also new x lite pro firmward adds the ability to use a module to bind in d8 mode....something like the uruav tmx5lite module.
Hey Nick, Is banggood already shipping out the mobula 6? Cause im wondering why all the reviews pop up on youtube but they are still on preordering process on each site
Hey Nick. Do you know whether or not the GNB 1s 350mah battery would fit the M6 and if so would it add too much weight? I have it in my basket for pre-order.Thanks a bunch and have a great day my friend
I was looking at your video from the Eachine E010 $15 whoop you posted about three years back....and now, compare that to this...CRAZY how much progression the fpv world has taken!
No or not really. This is analog, there is a kit to add that to the dji goggles. Otherwise I believe the dji goggles are dependent on the airwave dji vtx. I think...I don't have a set to try or confirm.
Can someone explain to me the differencec between this 1S battery and the 1S batteries that are for toy drones, like the syma x5. Is it just the connectors or the whole entire battery are different?
You were definitely going faster than normal, Thats the 1st thing I noticed before you said anything. Its so amazing how far theyve come in the 2 years Ive been flying fpv. My 1st brushed whoop hovered at just under 50 percent, I still have it, and it weighs 30.9 grams without a battery, lol with everything that light I think Ill get one to experiment with a tiny toothpick frame. Is it a regular size whoop fc? With a 16X16 AIO fc I bet I could make a tiny one. (actual toothpicks for a frame, lol)
Nick, I’m looking to buy a frysky radio and need some direction., can you point me in the right direction. Ill need the radio and transmitter seeing I’m coming off the spectrum systems I’m not sure at all what to buy....thanks
I would either get the previous versions of frsky radios or a jumper. The issue is new frsky radios don’t do d8 mode which we need for most of these all in one boards. Jumper makes good radios as well. The T16 seems like a really good radio
@@TheHelicapt Is that the yellow one? If so its a good one I had it on the channel, the menu is a bit different, it runs or did run deviationtx which I am used to but many aren't. Its no harder than opentx to learn. The form factor is smaller than most standard radios, but I like a smaller radio makes reaching the inside of the stick positions easier.
Nick, maybe you can offer me your opinion on what to do now.. I have a Flsky version of this FC. When I got it it took me forever to get it into bind mode. The bind button would not work.. Eventually it worked once.. Well it came un-bound somehow, and I can't get it back into bind mode... Can you tell me what color the lights are when in bind mode please? Just found your videos today, Scary Fast and Awesome! I'm starting with FPV Tinywhoops - can't find the X4 Charger, what would you recommend for a charger if the X4 is not available?
That is some great flying!!!! I would be interested to know what rates you are using?
pretty high rates. Pitch and roll 1.20 and super of .75, yaw is 1.30 and super of .80
Nice review, I'm debating between getting this one or the BeeBrain Brushless. Will there be a review for that one? The NewBeeDrone BeeBrain Brushless??
I do have a beebrain brushless on the way, but with the holidays and ongoings I don't expect to have the review out until next month.
@@NickBurnsFPV it's all good, I appreciate your channel it and your work. Thank you! Also happy holidays!!
@@marcomendez5487 NBD brushless arrived tonight. I still don't expect to get it out until next month. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
New to this - but wow, this is unreal! Question, for a newbie what controller/goggles would you recommend in order to get the best out of this drone?
Best means expensive generally. I would start with used equipment. Get some fatshark hdo goggles for cheap and an frsky x lite...not the current year model the older model, or buy a jumper t16 radio. Then add a charger, for 1s I use the one at the end of the video. Do you research on the equipment sellers...for sure.
Sorry for the noob question but the ESCs are rated for 5amp 6 burst but in your osd your always over that. Is that a overall amps then u have to divide by 4 to get the per esc. Thanks and love the channel. U should do audio books lol
So If i want a whoop for indoor racing, should i get the 19000kv ? I see the 25000kv version a Little bit overpower, more like a 2s whoop; for indoor flight . Maybe the sweet spot is the 22000kv
Some whoop races have qualifiers of four laps, depends if we can get 4 laps with 25kmotors. I would think so but I have raced in a whoop race event
is there anyway to increase bat life? i had a moblite and it got fried and i cant return mobula... do u recomend weight reduction, and whatnot? i have 19000kv with 4.35V betafpv batteries, i get 2m and 30seconds flighttime and i want better motors..
often with ph2.0 battery connection the connection itself is worn out, on one or both ends. BT2.0 and GNB27 is a much better micro connector. Also battery quality and care play a substantial role.
Hey Nick. Great review as always. Where do you get those gnb 350s with extension lead? Can’t find them. I’m in Canada.
Try amazon rotorgeeks.com rotorvillage.com snhobbies.com. About the only places I can think of for Canada
Tried all those already with no luck. Most have the 300s but not 350s. Guess I will just need to keep my eyes out for them. Got a m6 in route. Looking forward to going plaid with it! Thanks Nick.
no voltage sag with the ph2 ?post another video soon with the bt2.0 connector on this tiny......🔥
I ordered a hand full of connectors and more batteries.
That charger you are talking about would be great if it let you do storage charge.
yes, storage is still an outlier for 1s. I have no idea why that one feature is always left out.
@@NickBurnsFPV 😪
Is there any US supplier selling the battery charger? I will not buy from China anymore... Thanks
I love my mobula seven and have no problem flying it in side so is this smaller one even worth it the o my thing I see that’s better is the fact that it takes one lipo instead of two
Couple variables there. If we race and they only allow 65mm then we have to conform. If not and the m7 is working well for you then no
Nick Burns I’ve never been able to fly with anyone cause no one around me flys so racing isn’t a option for me so looks like ima just stick with the m7 as like you said I like to feel like I’m flying a old racer and the 65mm just doesn’t get that same affect for me as a 75mm so thank you for your time would love o see a comparison review of the two and the pros of cons cause i know I can’t be the only one wondering if I should get it
So seeing you ripping this thing like that... whats up with the PW2.0 thing? Is it not needed at all? Would this improve if you chage the connector to PW2.0? Mylipo is releasing PW2.0 connectors soon
PW2.0? I am not familiar with that connector. Mylipo.com isn't coming up tonight...website must be down.
@nickburnsfpv can you still recommend this whoop for my first tiny whoop for in and outdoors?
Yes, it's still a solid option for both indoor and outdoor....and its available unlike the new mobula 6 2024 edition...largely backordered
If you are still in the market for a 65mm whoop I'd now get the Air65 from betafpv, extremely lightweight and handles very well.
Thanks for the way you contribute to the hobby! Nice review. Waiting for delivery of mine :) Looking forward to your experience with the BT2.0. I have a few of those to try as well.
Please post a vid of your experiments! I think mobula6 25000kv may see benefit, not quite so much with 19000kv version
What are you running as your remote? I’m trying to get into the hobby a lot more and I’m look for a good remote that will work I currently have a dx6i but I don’t think it would work
I have used a few over the years. I prefer smaller gamepad style radios. Currently I use the radiomaster zorro.
This is the next generation whoop. The all in one board weight savings really make a difference. Finally, a product not by BetaFPV !!! I'm still all good with my Mobula7's on 1S for indoor, but this looks promising !!!
Great video!! Can a elrs EP1 be added to this quad? Thanks.
Im stumped.
Does betaflight on the quad show it’s set for frsky_d, it’s either on the receiver page or the configuration page
@@NickBurnsFPV Yessir protocol is set correctly. Even tried d16, Radio came with the tyro 79s kit. Labeled as a "lite radio" so maybe its out of date? But id assume fr sky d8 is fr sky no matter what.
@@maxpane657 The d8 protocol hasn't changed in years and year. Only recently has the protocol change for frsky d16. I suspect we either don't have one or both in d8 mode when binding
Great flying! Is there any way to adjust the color saturation on the Nano 3?
Because of the newer Frsky radios running ACCST 2.0 do you think its still worth buying this?
If I could I would wait. I suspect we will see a new version with elrs come out soon. They kinda already released one, but the motor size and kv wasn't good. I think there will be another version yet.
I just picked one of these up!! She’s so tiny! 😺 little winter ripper👍
Great video Nick, for 1S awesome, just on that charger mate does it put the ph2 batteries into storage as well
The charger does not do storage. I am not aware of any 1s charger that does storage charging.
Wow you got awesome reflex😀 Hopefully you do update vid after you change the connectors?
I plan to have a separate bt2.0 vid
Mu mobula 6 just fell all out the sky and it doesnt want to arm anymore. How do I check whats the problem with it? Can i check in beta flight what the main issue is?
Yes check betaflight for the setting it came with. Check to make sure it bound and don’t fly below 3volts
Hey Nick, just looking into FPV. What transmitter and googles would you recommend for this? Probably not going to get in too deep, but want something that can be used if I step up a level.
Did we get this answered on facebook?
@@NickBurnsFPV Yes sir! Thank you for your awesome and detailed help!! Can't wait to order by stuff and give it a try!
i like that.
GNB and Mylipo are the best of the market. I do believe GNB is cheaper.
@@NickBurnsFPV you like this better than your 7?
@@i.v.2824 Boy its close, but I do think I prefer 2s in my house. I think if my space where smaller or less flight path friendly I would prefer mobula 6.
I have a problem when i have a full battery and i arm it flys away like my throttle is all away down but it flys away! It will do this for a while until the battery goes down a little it starts to act normal. The arm minimum is 5.5 so I dont know what could be the problem. Thanks
Check the endpoints of the radio in betaflight. Be sure they are at 1000 and go to 2000 with the mid point being at 1500.
Hi Nick! I'm converting my Mobula6 to A30 connector, as all my PH2.0 cells are dead. Any tips? Can I keep the same gauge wire? Thanks!
same gauge wire is fine. One tip is to have the other end of the connector connected while doing to the soldering. This keeps the copper connectors in place while heating/soldering.
been a while getting back to it. will this bind with a jumper radio? got rid of my taranis radios
Yes jumpers have a mulitprotocol module
Hi Nick, can you recommend any 2s batteries from banggood with the XT30 connector around the 500mah more or less that nicely fit the eachine trashcan? Cheers.
I would go GNB the best performing, lightest and most economical batteries for micros. In this case the 450mah should fit. I don't have the trashcan anymore. We can cut the battery tray off and run a strap through to run any battery :)
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks for the fast reply, i will order two of them using your links 👍
@@deant6627 Thank you. I appreciate it.
How does it compare to a Tinyhawk S? It's being a really hard choice for a new micro
for inside flight performance mobula6 hands down.
@@NickBurnsFPV does It even compare to the smoothness of the tinyhawk? Flew one and It blew my mind
@@RafaelKravchychyn smoothness, maybe because the tinyhawk s is slower and carries more weight. That also makes it less agile.
crazy flying. where'd you get your sectional sofa in your living room? thanks
Thank you. I think we got it from an Ashley furniture store.
No DSMX... dang it. I have a Spektrum TX.
*Ahh RDQ has DSMX version! Ordered. When will they be shipping?
They shipped the 1st batch, I would expect another batch shortly after christmas.
Does this one you are flying have a Flysky rx or Frsky? Do you think It would make a difference for range?
I don't expect the protocol to change range but it could, I only have the frsky to test.
Thanks for the response. Really like your content. I also live in the mid west
If you want the same fight time as the 19,000kv on your 25,000kv set the motor output limit to 76% and throttle limit 76%
sweet kwad!!
where does one get those "loom bands"? looks like its perfect size for helping to hold aio in place on a whoop...thanks!
I think I got them from ebay..search for loom bands or loom bandz.
Only thing stopping me from ordering one is I’ll probably need an external module to fly it with my X-Lite Pro. Nick, any luck running D16?
Support D16 on X-lite pro
Hey Nick,
Is banggood already shipping out the mobula 6? Cause im wondering why all the reviews pop up on youtube but they are still on preordering process on each site
yes they have been shipping, not only from banggood but other vendors to. They go fast so it appears its constant preorder.
Hey Nick. Do you know whether or not the GNB 1s 350mah battery would fit the M6 and if so would it add too much weight? I have it in my basket for pre-order.Thanks a bunch and have a great day my friend
That is the battery I used in this video.
I was looking at your video from the Eachine E010 $15 whoop you posted about three years back....and now, compare that to this...CRAZY how much progression the fpv world has taken!
yes for sure, brushless has brought new levels of performance.
Hi, could I buy DJI goggles and use them with Mobula7 too?
No or not really. This is analog, there is a kit to add that to the dji goggles. Otherwise I believe the dji goggles are dependent on the airwave dji vtx. I think...I don't have a set to try or confirm.
I keep watching this video again just to watch your flying! So good man 👍
Same. Watched it 3x.
Can someone explain to me the differencec between this 1S battery and the 1S batteries that are for toy drones, like the syma x5. Is it just the connectors or the whole entire battery are different?
Often other than the connectors the batteries are a higher discharge capable, and therefor pack more performance.
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks
You were definitely going faster than normal, Thats the 1st thing I noticed before you said anything. Its so amazing how far theyve come in the 2 years Ive been flying fpv. My 1st brushed whoop hovered at just under 50 percent, I still have it, and it weighs 30.9 grams without a battery, lol with everything that light I think Ill get one to experiment with a tiny toothpick frame. Is it a regular size whoop fc? With a 16X16 AIO fc I bet I could make a tiny one. (actual toothpicks for a frame, lol)
It is a normal whoop mounting board pattern.
Hi Nick. Have you made the switch to jesc yet and if so what were your findings?
I have tried it, but not switched in terms of all my quads needing it.
Nick, I’m looking to buy a frysky radio and need some direction., can you point me in the right direction. Ill need the radio and transmitter seeing I’m coming off the spectrum systems I’m not sure at all what to buy....thanks
Buy a jumper...
I would either get the previous versions of frsky radios or a jumper. The issue is new frsky radios don’t do d8 mode which we need for most of these all in one boards. Jumper makes good radios as well. The T16 seems like a really good radio
Nick Burns
Thanks. How’s that lite model radio ?
@@TheHelicapt Is that the yellow one? If so its a good one I had it on the channel, the menu is a bit different, it runs or did run deviationtx which I am used to but many aren't. Its no harder than opentx to learn. The form factor is smaller than most standard radios, but I like a smaller radio makes reaching the inside of the stick positions easier.
Nick Burns
Gotcha. Thanks. I might do the jumper T16
And do you know, do I have to be holding the button while powering up?? Or can I just push it after, like with crossfire?? I am hoping like last time on about the 1,000th time trying it will work.. It would help greatly knowing what color blinks I am looking for.. Thank you for your time, Mike
This is the manual www.happymodel.cn/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Happymodel-Mobula6-flysky-edition-1s-brushless-whoop-Manual.pdf the red light is the only light indicating binding status. Note you can also use the "bind_rx" or "bind_rx_spi" in the cli to enter bind mode. yes the button needs pressed and held down when applying power.
It says 3.8 volts on the batterie. Am i only allowed to charge them to 3.8V and not 4.2?
We can safely charge to 4.2, I charge 1s batteries to 4.35v.
