Wow - you just brought back a huge sense memory for me. I worked at a fabric store for 6 years as a teen, and I knew what you were going to say before you said it. The sound of cutting fabric on the table is a very good sound. And being the cutter, takes it up a level. - thanks for that one - cheers

For bee stings: pull out some tobacco from a cigarette, wet the tobacco with water and apply the wet tobacco to the sting. The pain is gone within a few minutes. Many-a-time as a child I would get a bee sting, and my grandpa would apply wet tobacco. I still do it as an adult.

I know the fabric sound from Joanne's very well and Colleen is right its an amazing sound! I love so many different sounds like for example the sound of putting your hands into a huge bin or container of things like popcorn kernels, dried beans or even rice and pushing them around and then picking them up by the handful and dropping them back into the container. I love sounds of rocks clanking together small tiny little rocks and also larger ones. I love so many different water sounds as well. I love Erik and I’m obviously a swiftie.. but I honestly think the reason guys don’t like Taylor’s music is because they purely don’t connect to her lyrics on as personal levels as us females do. I’m not saying all men are like this but Taylor’s songs are obviously written from a woman’s perspective and what she’s gone through as a young girl/ woman experiencing things that almost every woman deals with in their lives and we just get it. I hope this makes sense and this is no hate towards Erik or anyone that isn’t a swiftie, I know there is plenty other reasons why people might not like Taylor’s music AND THATS OK! ❤😊

I am absolutely with Erick on the Taylor Swift topic. I open reels, I go to booktok, I go on Instagram, anywhere I go I see Taylor Swift, and it’s actually suffocating. I don’t know if it’s because they genuinely like Taylor Swift or it’s a trend to like her. And I do like a few of his songs, but not in an obsessive way I feel like it’s just invading social media and that’s why it’s becoming popular but not because of her, but because of her fandom

Honestly, what needs to relax about Taylor Swift are the conservative, right, “christians” calling her evil, satanic, etc. I recently was shown a Facebook post where people were saying nasty, awful things about her, saying she needed to repent, etc. Now, my response at the time was, “Yeah, the Hannah’s and the Sarah’s making all the comments…” and I’m not even a Taylor Swift fan. With Colleen’s album listening video, I was able to listen and appreciate now more than I ever have before. I do feel, though, that as good as she is at writing, I feel like she can be a little pretentious with her lyrics, but they’re still good and make sense.
A problem I’ve always had with her is that her music is so ear-wormy, that I don’t feel like it’s “real music” either, but I’ve gain more respect for her music with this last album than I’ve ever had.
The problem I have with popular music today (especially Taylor Swift) is that it reminds me so much of Josie and the Pussycats movie where they brainwashed people with the music.
All that said, I’ve been a crazy fan of Dave Matthews Band since I was really young, so I’m used to bad reactions to fandom. I spent a lot of years being looked down on for liking them, I’ve even had personal cds destroyed by family because of how much I loved them. At the end of the day, we like what we like.

I live in Maricopa Az and there are a TON of pigeons. Unfortunately, people hire pest control to put poison on their rooves to kill the pigeons. We find one or two dead pigeons a month. We used to feed the birds, which included quails, but had to stop because the pigeons took over and at one point 50 or so pigeons would swoop down and scare all the other birds. I don't hate pigeons but I do miss the quail families hanging out in our backyard. P.S. Many homes here have those spikes to keep the pigeons away.
