    Blender 3.3 NEW FEATURE makes Stylized Hair EASY - Geometry Nodes
    In today's video we're going to learning a new feature, technique, in Blender 3D. This is a new feature in Blender 3.3 using geometry nodes and the new particle hair curve system, we can sculpt our hair using geometry nodes. We will create stylized hair great for 3D cartoon and anime characters. Hope you enjoy.

    One thing they left out is the deflector option that prevents you brushing hairs below the surface of the object, hope they add that back in

      Hi. I'm sure you've updated to at least 3.5 by now. You will find a deflector/non collision button in hair system's Sculpt Mode. Look over to the right and you will see a Symmetry option with X,Y,Z...but immediately to the right of that is a button that looks like a broken square. Click on it to activate collision avoidance. :) (Sorry if I didn't explain this in the best of terms. :)

    how do you add partings? I have areas where I have added a clump node modifier, but it tries to pull hair together form either side of the parting, which is not what i want.
    i could add a texture mask to gude the hair I guess, but would have to leave a blank area in the mask where I don't want the clump to take effect ?

    I'm still struggling to figure out why my hairs are not working correctly. Even from the initial steps. I get as far as add hair and it creates a REALLY long hair (I can't even scroll to see the end of it). if I click again I get multiple of various sizes, angles and positions, even if it is set to only add one at a time. I'm getting so frustrated trying to figure this out.

  • @murrowboy

    Hey question, when I created the modifier with nodes, I couldn't the Sculpt tool to use different node networks I've created. When I input a hair in sculpt mode it's always the first one on the right. Even if I've made 10 underneath.

  • @warrenpaul9858
    @warrenpaul9858 9 месяцев назад

    I dont exactly understand why, but when I plug my spline parameter factor into radius I get a very odd shape. Almost like flattens the hair out like uv editing. If I plug length however into radius it looks the same, but then I have issues with the color ramp. I will play with it more, but curious if anyone has had the same issue

    • @warrenpaul9858
      @warrenpaul9858 9 месяцев назад

      I actually managed to figure this out. The factor produced was to big a number and adding a math node, setting to multiply and using a value of 0.01 worked for me
