In this video I am out in a cotton field near Beasley Texas with a farm that is harvesting their 2023 cotton crop. In the video they are running their Case IH 1844 cotton picking and building modules of cotton with their Case 2590 tractor and module builder.
This is dry land cotton (no irrigation) and this area has been in a drought with very hot temperatures.
I did a total of 4 different cotton harvest videos while I was in this area. I have already posted two of those videos and this is number three. I will edit and upload the fourth one in the near future.

It’s really amazing how far machinery innovation has come the past 20 years. Building modules on the field, building modules in the harvester, round baling on the go.
I had one just like the 1844 but mine was 4x4 and had the bar tender setup on the back for greasing the heads!!

Great video Mike.Brings back memories .We had the1822 and 2044 Caseih cotton express pickers one was 2 row and one was 4 row.I remember fall Saturdays running the module builder listening to UGA football on the transistor radio.

How many ton cotton produce in 1 acre
Just like on grain crops its all decided by how much water you have in rains or if you irrigate.
Looks like the record was set down in Australia at 2056 pounds per acre
@@garymurt9112 That 2056 lbs per acre was Australia's average for their entire country which is an excellent average for an entire country. ----- The highest Cotton yield established on any one farm was grown byVance and Mandie Smith in Big Spring Texas and was 3,717 pounds or 7.7 bales, per acre in 2013 ------ They had 2,600- pound yields in 2010, 2,800 pounds in 2011 and 2,960 pounds in 2012 and were shocked seven bales (3,303 pounds) per acre in 2013.
