- I heard the Automaton March track and was immediately inspired to do something Hell March-ish, and spent the weekend writing and recording my Automaton Hell March theme.
After completing the song, @Jofoyo volunteered to make an animation video for the track also inspired by the original Automaton March animation.

Fun Fact about the bots.
Sometimes you can hear the bots begging to be killed, and also near their factories you can see piles of humans with stitches on their head, implying that they're stealing the brains for something, likely being placed in these automaton bots, where sometimes enough human gets out to beg to be killed.

This is why Automatons are my personal favorite
I like them because from a narrative point of view, Automatons are only trying to free their Cyborg brothers-in-arms since Super Earth captured and enslaved all of the cyborgs to mines on their own home planet Cyberstan. And originally the cyborgs freed the automatons from Super Earth so they would not be forced to be free labour for humans like the working classes have always been. The Automaton mention in their lyrics something along the lines of "Cyberstan! Can't keep her down!" symbolizing that their intention is to free the cyborgs from Super Earth's enslavemement. I honestly hope they succeed. Even if it means players losing constantly, from a narrativer point the automatons are in the ethical right side to avenge the cyborgs. Meanwhile Super Earth seems to keep most of its people under control by keeping them dumb enough they can't even understand the "treason" that illegal broadcasts constantly blare out about how Super Earth is the one causing all the problems. Bugs are a problem because of farming them for E-710. Got out of control, tried to gas them. They evolved like bugs do and now they fly. Good going Super Earth. What new things will they try that will only bolster the bugs, automatons, and now soon the illuminate.

Diary of a diver: When we all graduated training we thought that it was over, nothing could best with us the way we were beat down in training, hell even the bugs seamed so weak compared to the instructors. We first were deployed to Helmire, a planet that much like its name sake was a fiery desert with pillars of flame that devoured even the biggest of the bugs, they never stood much of a chance, we left that planet covered in craters and corpses and hell id even say we had fun doing it, but that changed the day we received transfer orders to the wester front. By the time I saw the creek it was already lost and the story's had flooded in from across the fleet, certain death was all that awaited us down amongst the jungles. the second we broke atmosphere and were able to see our surroundings we realized what had happened, a once thriving and prosperous colony was reduced to towers of steal and red, fabricators as far as the eyes could see. When we finally slammed into the earth and checked our orders we were to find a command bunker and cut off the bots in the area from communicating with the others in the area. The first time we saw the bots we were confidant, confidant that they would be just like the bugs, easy and full of fear, we were wrong. Addams was the first to open fire, he got a good few of them before a long stream of light left his legs detached from him, I still cant get him out of my head. Jackson and Monroe weren't so lucky, the rockets flew faster then they could react to, Monroe was mist on the spot. Jackson could have only prayed for going out that quickly, this.. thing with a saw for an arm got to him before i could, I don't want to think about it anymore. I did what I could, I hid and crawled until i could see the bunker thankfully the powers that be gifted me with a 500kg bomb, I never knew concrete could fly that high. The joy and adrenalin quickly wore off and I realized that on my way to the evac site the lasers kept getting closer and closer, almost dialing me in. Then I saw it, pelican one was waiting for me, and so was safety. I Leaped into the back and felt the cold familiar meatal of the bay, but just before the door could close a bot with a jump pack had leaped up and had gotten cought in the door. It spoke, it spoke and I couldn't make a word of it out, but just before the door was able to overcome it weak frame I looked into its eyes, these bots were nothing like the bugs, so full of fear they'd run from our flames and bullets, no the bots only felt one thing, and that was hate.

Super Earth federation was actually founded in sweden.
After 8 hours fighting the Nids I wanted to see what the Automatons were all about. Boy it was a nightmare. My whole squad was downed in the first engagement and I was running for my life in Malevelon Creek. All my teammates were higher levels and were down… I was 10 levels under them and my guns barely did any damage to them. I manage to call for backup but it was for nothing, we were surrounded and eliminated right away.
Level 12 here, me and a level 27 buddy tried a tier 4 Malevelon Creek, I feel your pain brother.
@@danielsiii4235 When I heard their chanting in the woods I was like, “wtf is that scary shit”. We took the high ground, and started to download some data, while we waited I saw a few troopers approaching and we took them out with no problems. Then they started coming, from the trees and in aircrafts. The amount of fire power overwhelmed us, and even a 500kg bomb did nothing to slow them down, one by one we perished: till I was the last man. I took to the woods just to be chased all over and then made my stand on top of a cliff, I called for reinforcements, and we prepared to defend the area we managed to call down machine guns, artillery bots, rockets, and supplies. We were ready to fight them back and then those ATST looking things appeared, taking all the heat as their infantry masses into our position, the battle was short and brutal. I called one last airstrike on our position, as defeat was imminent.

The Automatons are the child race of a group of cybernetic humans that broke away from Super Earth and declared independence. The boot came down hard, and these cyborgs now serve as slave labour in mines on their very own home: Cyberstan. A planet not too distant from where the Automatons are fighting their way into Super Earth territory. If they ever make ground there, I can only imagine this playing.

When you titled it Hell March I thought it was a version of the Hellmarch track from Command and Conquer Red Alert.
C&C Hell March was definitely an inspiration for the track and what I thought of when I first heard the Automaton March

The thing I said to my friend who was 20 levels higher than me was that we can fight the bugs like we are the US army. Push hard, call in crazy firepower, and never back down. For the bots, you have to play as an insugent. You get in, quick and quiet as you can, mark what you need to for destruction, and pray that when the bombs start going off, you can run faster than they can.

In a way, Automatons are like Daleks.
Allow me to explain with what little info I have,
Daleks were made by a another race right? And automatons were supposedly built by the cyborgs of Cyberstan.
Both were build for a reason, whether to break a stalemate (Daleks) and the other to free a race/planet (Automatons.)
Now lets just hope the Automatons don't fail or turn into a race of killing machines like the Daleks, wanting to kill everything.

You're correct in that they're a creation of a different species. However, Daleks weren't just meant to break a stalemate. They were meant to kill _everything_ -- and to keep doing that until all life was gone. Hopefully, the Cyberstanians were a bit less ambitious in their programming...

The model is just a port from the game that I found on the Helldivers Archive discord, just with a custom material setup and quick animation rig.
