    If I was starting again in golf the T-Rails would be on my shopping list ( or the Cleveland/ Wilson/ Tour Edge equivalents) . My swing speed with irons is in the mid 70's m.p.h. What I found with my Cobra F9 irons with strong loft was carry distances for the 7 irons to 4 iron was too close ( even more of an issue if you use one length irons) . Save money and buy hybrids or blend is some hybrid-irons based on loft that fit instead of the 4,5 6 irons if you are looking at the Rad line of clubs

    Rad speed had great distance but also probably the best dispersion of clubs in this class for the high handicapped which is an eye opener. As much trouble as I have with both distance and dispersion, that club might be a good fit. I hadn't considered Cobra until the Rad Speed tested well in a prior 2nd Swing Golf video and will definitely try them. It also doesn't skew to the right like many other irons, and manages to have good spin for irons in this class, although understandably not as much the player irons, which are entirely differently. Thanks for the tips, as always. Still trying to improve my swing and find that perfect set of irons.

    when you do a test like this, how do you factor in swing weight? I wonder how all the heads would compare at the same swing weight. This also makes me curious about fitting sessions, if you just swap the heads as you have done in this video, how do you factor in swing weight differences and what the ideal swing weight should be for a given golfer?

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  2 года назад

      All the clubs are tested with the same weighted shafts, length and grip sizes so swing weight differences shouldn't be too different. The ideal swing weight will come down to a players feel and results and if we can we will play around with swing weight after deciding on the head of choice - Thomas

    Been fitted with a set of forged tec iron , love them but gapping seems quite odd , short iron I have similar distance than my jpx900 but mid iron I absolutely crush them ... Create a huge hole in distance between pw-8 / 7-6 irons

    • @JDSFLA
      @JDSFLA 3 года назад +1

      7-iron is where the Tec's become hollow body, and this may explain the gap with 8-iron. Maybe adjusting the lofts is a remedy. I play the F8 model, and when I go from 8 to 7-iron I can feel the additional power of the 7-iron's hollow body. However, my gap between the two is 12 yards which is just fine.

    @justinstephenson9360 3 года назад +4

    I admire Cobra for being willing to try out ideas, however, for most of their clubs I do not like the look because they treat the back of the club as an advertising billboard - clubs such as the Forged Tec and even the Forged Tour at least justify needing iron head covers. I know lots of people like them, looks are very subjective
    For me there are 2 stand out clubs in the test, one I expected and one I did not. The Forged Tour is mightily impressive for decent ball strikers, the only problem is that it is going against clubs such as Ping i210, Titleist T100s, P770 or P7MC which have more brand recognition - it is certainly no worse than them. The one I did not expect was the T-Rail. Ignore the look and just look at the numbers and the consistency - I am sure it is aimed for players with a slower swing speed but as long as you do not play regularly in windy conditions a lot of players would benefit from the T-Rail

      @@2ndswing I am a shorter guy 5’8 ish.. for the 8 years I’ve played 3 degrees flat actually… (I commented on another video about the T100s and 200s last night as well that u recently replied to I love the distance of these newer irons) I just bought these cobras 1/1 and a half months ago. But I’ve noticed nothing is comparing to my Ap2 or t100s for overall feel/workability. The cobras are standard lie. My miss is a left atm with standard lie angles of the forged tec. But I’m going to sale these more than likely for either titliest t100s a combo with 200s or the callaways apex pros or the forged cbs that ram plays. But thanks for the info. I’m just trying to figure out all the newer irons. I love y’all’s videos 👍 they really are helping figure this all out again.
