    Suttree deserves, I believe, a place of the top shelf of American literature. I favor his Tennessee works. Both the Passenger and Stella Maris returns the reader to these themes. Very interesting, thanks for putting this out there.

      theres no honest way in which I can toss your way THE ENJOYMENT i got from ALL of cormac. And see where the folks on you tube get that too to preserve his work as in accord to the masters dostoyevski BUKOWSKI delilo burroughs yeah ya all got it...i doubt any writer knows h0w they think on serious subjects they just express! mellville celine hawthrone which i Feel is just their enjoying those others and mixing it all up...ut cormacs work will go down with these true writers ...

    Don't even dream of anyone successfully being able to make Blood Meridian into a film. I've read it 5 times. The successful cinematic rendition of this Meisterwerk is in my head.

    Suttree took me a few goes. The second time I read it I realised McCarthy is a genius.
