I love history videos on cubing. Being an oldschoolcuber, Minh Thai 22.95 was always my motivation in getting better; when I was a kid back in the 80's. This video is amazing. You did an excellent job making & editing this video. Thanks for sharing.
This was a great video and had way more information than I expected. The only thing you did wrong was I wanted to watch the full world record videos, but you didn't put the RUclips links to the videos you used in the description. Please do that!
Mats 5.55 hit pll at 4.00 witch means that could of been a 4.00 solve if he got a pll skip. Feliks 4.22 had a pll skip so Mats 5.55 is kinda tied with Feliks if you think about it.
If you get around 15 turns per second and solve it in around 30 moves, 2 seconds seems on the outer edge of plausibility. But you would need to be both really really good and really really lucky. But hey, the new WR was both. Eventually, someone better will also be luckier and the time will.go down. We are past the point now where it can be beaten by skill alone. Luck is now required.
The footage of the 6.18 is not of the world record solve. Its from 2013. You can tell because he is using a Weilong, not a Zhanchi. Otherwise great video!
1:42 he used both hands though...
Ghost Cuber ahahahahahahaahqhahahaa
Ghost Cuber so? This guy didn't say it was an OH solve.
@@draketurcotte4760 in the video he said single handedly, he is making a joke of the metaphor.
iDunnoMapping ah, I see.
@@draketurcotte4760 :)
I’m still hurt from Jays sub 4 fail 🙏🏼
Will same
@Brian Nguyen 3.47 now owo
I feel bad
Me too
Yusheng DU’s record is gonna stand for a long time
2/3 years, or very lucky scramble for top solvers, or just Feliks be Feliks.
That could be sub 3 if Feliks or Max got that scramble
Unique Baconhair felix was slower on the scramble
@@chocoblocko9 Feliks *
Feliks is better
YuSheng Du 3.475....
The record was set after the video was uploaded you uneducated potato!
@@fusion67 thats exactly why i commented that, died potato
Feliks zemdegs or max park need to earn the world record not yusheng du
@@jessevankessel3089 I agree.
They worked so hard. One of them deserve a single wr.
Greasy Cubing feliks or not, it's official, deal with it

Are you now better than that?
I got my PB of 19.39 last week but I still average 34 second solves in ao100/ao1000 sessions.
@@ePocalypse ok... but you do avg 1000 if you are at 35secs?
It's about 9,5 hours without the scrambling.
I love history videos to I also love the hardware of what they used and what they did
My friend judged the 4.40 max park!
Nolan Yiu hey
Will Walter hi!
Nolan Yiu cool!
2:34 sure Bout that? Minh thai held the record for 21 years lol
I really enjoyed this video! I thought it would be like stupid montage with videos but you really explained some stuff! Nice
Oh hi promybro cuber im one of your biggest fans why do you post videos so rarely. Plz answer
Doesn’t answer in a year likllllllll
Now it's possible this 4.22 could stand for another few years...
6 MONTHS LATER
3.47 single by Yu Sheng Du
A lot of effort put in the video! 2:57 Why is it one of the most iconic solves?
first sub 6, and stood for a while
@@Nolmy300 Oh, cool.
2:33 i tried to write it in english pronounce: Eerik Ahccursdaic
Very original idea. Couldn’t have done it without Summoning Salt. Everyone go check him out and like this comment if you get deja vu.
I'd love to see him do a video about cubing, but I don't know how well it would be received
This feels like a SummoningSalt video but for cubing.
I like it, good job man.
thank you.
Where is Du Yu Sheng????
Wow! I learned so much from this video!!! I never knew of all this history! Really cool and interesting!
I got my first sub 10 today!!!
Jojowii - Congratulations!
jojowii congrats!
Good job!
Congrats what is your ao5

Good concise summary. Great vid!
4:30 Noice
You didn’t mention Feliks’s 5.33 DNF corner twist. Otherwise, great video! I learned a lot of interesting stuff.
It is now 3.47
4:46 lmaaoooooo.😂😂😂😂 YuSheng Du made it sure that his one stays for a couple more years.
If Jay is using a GTS3 N he would not slip the cube
Lol
GTS3 M
Cuberious I don't know
He used a Valk 3 power I think.
The longest standing wr is Minh Thai's wr. DUH
This video is amazing, i love it !
Good job 👍👍👍
Already knew most of this and it was still entertaining
i use Yusheng Du's WR scramble and i get 4.82
Rip Jayden's almost sub 4
This is one of best cubing videos
Mats 5.55 hit pll at 4.00 witch means that could of been a 4.00 solve if he got a pll skip. Feliks 4.22 had a pll skip so Mats 5.55 is kinda tied with Feliks if you think about it.
Very educational
4:56 lol, wanna predict the lowest time ever possible?
I guess barely sub-2 by the end of the century
@@Julio974 Sub-2? I think that's very fast. Honestly, if a scramble had been a PLL algorithm, it could be a 1 sec.
@@junting605 I think the WR will be about 2.5 seconds in a decade.
@@isaacrajagopal391 Damn boii

You said he single handedly lowered the world record by four seconds but I didn’t see him solve with one hand lol
Although the record could be broken
*Shows Max Park
Yusheng Du - Am I a joke to you?
Thx it's a good video.
Hello my name is yusheng du and I'm here to crush your dreams. This probably won't be broken in a long time
Niice video! All these legendary moments combined with great music givin me dem feels for dayzzz 😎
AWM Video bro.
Great work .
Definitely learnt something from the first part which I never knew
2:50 what the hell happened to the audio
Yeshung Du 3 seconds later... World Record
I really want Jay to break the world record.
Great vid!
Amazing work!!! It shows😀😀
Then Yusheng obliterates feliks record
THIS IS AMAZING

Little does past cubing encoded know was just weeks after this video the wr would be beaten
Great video !
Little did we know Yusheng du will get a sub 4
How did I just realize this was made a year and a half ago
looking at this video in 2023. Wow, max park with the 3.13 world record is crazy.
Who else thinks the world record can get down to sub 4? or even maybe sub 3?
The 6.18 shown in the video isn't the actual world record single, the one shown in the video is a 6.18 from a different average.
You’re right! Only noticed that after people began to tell me
After this video was made, 1 month later yusheng du got 3.475🔥
There has only sorta been a world record of 3.47 seconds by yusheng du
Lol its 2020 and the WR is 3.47 .... thank me later ;)
This is basically summon salt but it's cubing
What About Drew Brads 4.75
And now Yusheng Du with a 3.47
imagine if there will be a method that will solve a 3x3 sub-1.......
You missed Feliks 5:33 Fail
Greetings!
(Excuse my poor ineffective and inefficient use of the great language known to our civil and organized societies as English)
Arik Ahkerdiek = how you pernounce Erik Akkerdijk

Great music
you pee pee couldnt come over bc this lmao
cool editing tho
Yusheng du laughs in Chinese
Little did he know i'de be beaten in 2018
4.22 will stay few years hum hum
