    I love history videos on cubing. Being an oldschoolcuber, Minh Thai 22.95 was always my motivation in getting better; when I was a kid back in the 80's. This video is amazing. You did an excellent job making & editing this video. Thanks for sharing.

      I got my PB of 19.39 last week but I still average 34 second solves in ao100/ao1000 sessions.

    Mats 5.55 hit pll at 4.00 witch means that could of been a 4.00 solve if he got a pll skip. Feliks 4.22 had a pll skip so Mats 5.55 is kinda tied with Feliks if you think about it.

      @@Julio974 Sub-2? I think that's very fast. Honestly, if a scramble had been a PLL algorithm, it could be a 1 sec.

      If you get around 15 turns per second and solve it in around 30 moves, 2 seconds seems on the outer edge of plausibility. But you would need to be both really really good and really really lucky. But hey, the new WR was both. Eventually, someone better will also be luckier and the time will.go down. We are past the point now where it can be beaten by skill alone. Luck is now required.

    The footage of the 6.18 is not of the world record solve. Its from 2013. You can tell because he is using a Weilong, not a Zhanchi.
