After these iterations of Alpha 9, I don't see how can they be improved even further. They're just perfect! When they were first leaked I was like nah, but I'll definitely get my hands on them at some point.

Let’s go, Rookie! I loved that they made the best version of Rookie, I personally love this, and it is obviously better than the Anniversary version of Rookie with the redundant gold M7/Caseless SMG which I honestly dislike, like I want the actual colored figure rather than a gold version of the said figure. What is very cool is that Mega actually did listen to one of my comments I’ve made previously with your ODST Extermination pack video, where they actually are making the blood type somewhat mandatory for the figures as it is a cool move, it also adds another set of immersion too. The drop pod is pretty nice, never really expected to have prints on it, but still, would’ve also agreed that the drop pod itself should be a functional one but that would’ve made it an easier steal for the thieves, considering how it’ll hinge open.
Dang. This look quite good. I’m still hoping for Mega to make drop pods like the old ones with moveable parts, since I had them in a store, but didn’t get them because they had the older figs (I regret this). I’m guessing that this is what you meant by “reviews.”
i’ve been wanting the rookie as a fig for forever so i’m excited that mega is finally making a return with this line of the odst team but hopefully the distribution will allow me to get em
I don't mind the simple drop pods *except* for the parachute being molded onto the top of the pod. I really wish Mega got rid of it because the parachute just doesn't stay on a drop pod like that for long. It's stored on a pod like that in the high atmosphere before being deployed to reduce the speed of the fall and eventually breaking off, but because these pods have no studs or holes or anything, you can't even display them as if they were higher in the atmosphere! Also it's kinda disappointing that Buck didn't get the shoulder straps painted like Rookie and I assume the rest of Alpha-Nine will. Regardless of my gripes, I really hope these show up somewhere near me. I already have all of Alpha-Nine, but the names on the chest and blood type shoulders are such nice details that I want.
While I do wish we still got new versions of the OLD old bloks style pods (with the actual hinged doors,) these are a really nice way of basically getting a halo hero with a display piece. The halo 5 and old style would be worth paying more for imo, but I totally understand why they went this route. I’m honestly happy to have another “walk into a store and pick up an inexpensive mega item” type product. I was actually lucky enough to score the full set of 4 for $55 after shipping, which considering the awful release of these, is pretty amazing imo. I don’t have them in hand yet, but I’d say paying about $12 each is more than worth it for something that was hard to get at release. Also, gotta love our boy Rookie!
I really wish mega would just bring back the old drop pods: they were so cool and it was actually my first set in 2010, the one with the red ODST with the rocket launcher, all they have done is move backwards. The figure looks nice tho, love the printed detail
Seeing the more detailed pods return would be great, but they'd have to rethink the way they released the sets to make that work. Maybe adding it in a larger set

I am curious as to where I can get this, as I've looked online and like I can't really find it, been to a few local stores and I couldn't find any in stores and when it comes to online I can't find any that aren't being price gouged or are just flat out not availiable. I know when it comes to getting Alpha nine, I can get Mickey and Dare from a halo heroes pack, but I dunno where to get Rookie, Dutch, and Romeo for a fair price which also doesn't require store hopping. That's a good question. So far these pods have not released like normal. However, Paulmart's store on Ebay sometimes has the full set of 4 for around $40 which is a very fair price

Availability for the larger sets is improving for sure. The smaller sets like Heroes, blind bags and these pods are still a problem. However, this set in particular had a really major issue: Rookie's helmet stripe flakes off with a little bit of pressure. I reported the issue to Mega and since then, there has been no news of a release (they originally told us Spring was when these came out). My guess is they pulled the stock to fix Rookie, but I can't be sure

Also distribution of this set is non existant in canada which worries me for individual figure distribution because halo heroes has not shown up since series 14 and blind bag's haven't arrived since infinite series 3. I wish someone with contacts at mega would ask them if they plan to send any single figures because it's been forever since anyone sighted individual figure stuff in canada at all the distribution for it is non existant only sets are appearing on shelves which is sad because the distribution of series 14 gave me hope for the next sets of series.

Well Buck and Dutch could be slightly improved, but Mickey, Rookie and Romeo are pretty much perfect
they could improve greatly with stocking them, either in stores or on mattel creations
