24/3/2022 (2:05am🙃). Ah how awesome! We really love so many of the same things... I have this mountain of embroidered tapestries (that's what we call them here in SA, the wool embroidered pictures..), and the love of cross stitch and other embroidery, you would go mad in my linen closet. I use Vintage embroidered table cloths for making tops, I upholster woth them and even made café curtains from old embroidered tray cloths that I connected with vintage lace and crochet work. Debi, you're a God-sent.. I am even starting to dance with you at the end and days look a bit brighter every time I watch a video. God bless you angel. Truly..🦋🇿🇦
🌺 Debbie you are such a great amazing artist. There is Nothing you Can Not do!! I Love your Channel soo, soo, much. I have seen everyone of your videos many times over & over again. Every time I learn something new. Weather it’s how to make something, paint something, or be inspired by your stories. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO WRITE A BOOK 📚??? IT WOULD BE A BESTSELLER I KNOW THAT. I DONT THINK YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH YOU HELP PEOPLE!!! I ❤️ You. You are a Wonderful Person 😁 👍👍👍
An artists mind is amazing to me! Doesn’t matter where you get inspiration, clothes, sunsets, wood carvings, or spider webs, it is joyous to see art. Mixing art with the music is awesome, Debi! 👍🏻🤗
I feel I’ve been to church! Your video was a soothing touch to my soul. The music is a melody to live by. My eyes drank in every brush stroke and technique. A boring Thursday saved by my”friend” Debi! I’ll say it again, you have a gift straight from heaven.😘
My favorite, but every time I see a new one I feel the same way! Words fail. It's a masterpiece. I love where you got your inspiration from, and your narrative too. I feel like I met a new friend.
Giving you a 👍🏾 before I see the video because you're just that good. Debi you stand out from ALL other furniture artists out there. Your creativity is out of this world. Wow, just wow 😍 And I love the music in your videos soooooo much.
Well, that turned out really pretty. Kind of a Morocan theme. You really are creative and passionate about your work and it is so inspiring.Thank you for all that you do.
I use stencils to do raised designs...with texture paste from Michael's and then when dry, lay stencil over and paint whatever color I want or mix diy paint into it first. Love the cornstarch and liquid patina recipie ...simple and effective and money saving!! Love the piece Debi
First off your blouse in this video is so cute! And I love your sense of humor about your “addiction” to Anthropologie. I don’t think I have ever purchased anything from that store 😂 The dresser is beautiful. I have a couple of JRV stencils and i can wait to use them. I hope you didn’t stay up till 3am this time! 😉💕
Giving you a 👍🏾 before I see the video because you're just that good. Debi you stand out from ALL other furniture artists out there. Your creativity is out of this world. Wow, just wow 😍
Thank you Debi, I just fell upon your channel. I feel that we might have been friends if we were neighbors. I have spent my life building, painting recycling, cutting sewing. I am on the downsizing side now (Older) but you added Joy to my day! Thank you
I have an OLD armoire that I've been waiting to redo for almost a year...waiting for the "right" inspiration from your channel. I just found it!!! Thank you. You are the most inspirational person I've ever watched and I LOVE your channel. (Unfortunately i also love anthropology AND free people) 🤦♀️🤷♀️
Debi, I’m amazed by your creative growth with your DIY paint line and so grateful that you beautifully compose and share your art. I can’t wait to try these new techniques. Thank you 😊 I treasure your videos!!
First time ever I was a little sceptical when you were using the texturing tools, then when you put the second layer on and the raised stencil WOW, I have no words absolutely incredible !!!
It turned out great! Funny, because I'm currently working on cross stitching the caning on my headboard and painting a giant canvas of "embroidered" flowers, texturing a piece of furniture like this would fit in perfectly, thanks for the inspo ❤
These are my very favorite video creations of yours, Miss Debi. You're such a doll and offer so much to the world. Your clothing choices are top tier and I never would have thought to look for inspiration from my wardrobe. Love it. 💟
If I'm having a funky day I'll watch your videos and by the end I'm always totally inspired by your artistry, entertained by your stories, and motivated by your dancing too!!! You nailed this piece...AMAZING!🌸💕
Loved this video! Loved the dresser. Would never have thought of doing that technique. Thankyou for sharing and yes to using all your purchases as right offs! Pink and blue next up! ❤️ u Debi
Oh! Now I need something to add a linen finish to. I think my rubber lint brush might be finding a new purpose as a texture tool. You are correct in suggesting clothing as inspiration and I don't even need to purchase.
I adore this little desk! I swear when I hit play and you were panning over it, I thought to myself “this is amazing...she must of Modge Podged linen to it before painting and stenciling!” This would make a lovely vanity in a young lady’s room, or not so young lady’s room. 😘😉💓
I am in awe of you and this amazing piece of furniture. I am a huge fan of embroidery, too. This is in my top three favorites that you have created. Such a beautiful piece...a true work of art.
I taught a color blending class yesterday demonstrating on different pieces of furniture. One of the pieces I painted is an adorable commode. By the end of the class, each side had completely different looks to it. I'm going to paint over everything in Queen Bee, Kissing Booth, Marquee and Mermaid Tail. I have a plan and it's going to be so cool! Anyway, I'm going to add one of JRV stencils to the door and I want it raised so this will be perfect. My goal is to film it in the morning even though I started it yesterday in class. Wish me luck ~ I need it!! Thanks again for all you do!!
Another way to make texture paste is with white toothpaste. Not the kind that has gel or other additives in it but straight old time white toothpaste. Mix paint with it and then stencil it on. I did this a few years back as a trial and even after four years there is no molding, it’s hard as a rock and still looks amazing in my trial book that I use when I try things out and do swatches.
its so impressive how you figure these things out. the color combination is beautiful. another beautiful creation, one fashion write off. that's a great day in my book.
I'm also inspired by and obsessed with Anthropologie styling and decor, and the fabrics they use. Always bought from the clearance sales. Adore what you've done with this piece, and captured that slubby look of linen. 💕 😍 🌸 !! ✊🏻
Debi you're AHMAZING!! I look forward to your videos because your art is SO amazing AND because of the music you play in it. Love how you achieved the look of linen and embroidery.
Your creativity is just awe inspiring and also doable! BTW, I think anthropology should give you free stuff since you basically give them free advertising!!! lol.
Debi...you are ...simply put...Genius! I am so thankful you share your ideas and work! You really are an inspiration. Love your dresser.. I have so many projects started but need more of your paint. I suppose I need a drive to Solana Beach yet a little too soon after Christmas spending. 😉Soon though! You are almost to 200,000 subscribers...get ready to celebrate! ❤️😘
That piece is beautiful.. you never cease to leave me in awe of your talents.. I love how inspired I get when I watch your videos.. I’ve been trying to decide how I want to overhaul my giant matching bedside tables that once belonged to my grandmother.. I did a black and white shabby chic on them a few years ago but I’m itching to give them some new special pizazz, maybe a touch of colour like that coral colour you mixed up, it’s beautiful 😍👌
Oh girl! What a story! Necessity is indeed the mother of invention! I found a Johnny Was blouse, a vintage wool Valentina jacket ( $2.50 each)) and a blankNYC pleather Moto jacket with embroidery ($4.00) the other day at Goodwill! You just never know where you’ll find things that will inspire you!
Amazing technique!!!! Love me some embroidery.... Never thought I'd see it on furniture!! 🌼🐦 And LOVE LOVE LOVE your music choices for your videos. SO good! 💟
What a great technique! You could do an entire video going thru all the great clothes in your closet for a tax write off! They inspire me just looking at them! Takes me back to when...
Love the look of embroidery too! Your stenciling work turned out gorgeous. Love Love it! (btw, I've been binge watching your channel for over a week and most videos I've watched a couple times) Thank you for sharing. Color is life. :)
Great project Debi, great video. I love your content, just Like anthropology draws you in to their store, you draw me in with your storytelling and creative flair. God Bless You Debi. I hope you have the best year ever.!
Love your ideas Debi, this really looks like your inspiration piece, can't wait to try the raised stencil idea, I have never done it on furniture. Your ideas are so fresh =) I have a big walk in closet that is full, self control fly's out the window when you see a cute top. I have been shopping at the thrift store for clothes and I love that you can find something that no one else is wearing right now, but I wind up with a full closet!! What a horrible problem to have, LOL
Love it Debi! I'm inspired to try something similar for sure! FYI on your shoes... the brand name Karhu... it means 'bear' in Finnish. And I'm Finn so I vote a huge YES on the shoe inspired furniture! :)
I have to go to school I will finish watching when I get home but it looks cool so far I told my teacher about your paint and ms Dionne painting and how it looks really pretty and he wants to see the paint but I still can't paint his desk 😁😁😁😊😂😁👋👋👋
@@DebisDesignDiary I like this alot good job and good idea what are mom Jean's and do you have any kids I bet you are a fun mom can you make the paste with other colors to but I don't have liquid patina I have golden ticket can I do that
Just when you think there's no more new things to try you come up with this technique. It's stunning Debi! I love textured art in any shape or form and this would be a great to combine with paper clay for a project. You are such an inspiring artist and I'm so grateful to you for sharing your creativity. I can't wait for the macrame bench as it's something I had in mind to do to a chair and a bench I found by the bins last year. Much love x
Girl you are a genius, that dresser is, as you would say, “so stinking cute” I love it, and the shirt was cute too. I need to do the same thing, scale back, I buy way too much thrifted clothes, love linen too. I think I will follow your lead. Yes, I would like to see what you do with those sneakers. I absolutely LOVE your videos,❤️❤️❤️I binge on them some days. Thank you so much for sharing😁

The story telling is so FUN !!!!

Watching this again for the pink recipe 😉 . Your video style is still unmatched so uniquely your own. Just draws you in to watch more and more.
You would have loved the blouses I wore back in the 70's ,lots of beautiful embroidery . At 63 I am still obsessed with embroidery .
An artists mind is amazing to me! Doesn’t matter where you get inspiration, clothes, sunsets, wood carvings, or spider webs, it is joyous to see art. Mixing art with the music is awesome, Debi! 👍🏻🤗
Debi, I'm hoping to purchase a park model in a couple of weeks. You are inspiring me to create works of art for my new to me home.
I feel I’ve been to church! Your video was a soothing touch to my soul. The music is a melody to live by. My eyes drank in every brush stroke and technique. A boring Thursday saved by my”friend” Debi! I’ll say it again, you have a gift straight from heaven.😘
