As an American it's insane to me, I'd have to be on the verge of death before I'd consider going to a hospital or health service

It took me two weeks of debilitating pain from an ear infection for me to go into an urgent care and they told me the cost out of pocket for the single visit would range from $80 - 300 and I was like 😀 please just prescribe me antibiotics, my god…….. (which were an additional $45 🙌)
@@dontyellatme369 That sucks! I had to take an ambulance up the road (I know for a fact it was less than a mile drive, I've checked) and it was $1500 AFTER insurance for the ride alone
Yeah, I remember fully thinking I was dying, my stomach hurt so bad when I was in high school, and I still put off calling my mom to come get me because I knew going to the ER would be expensive and my meds already cost so much. I ended up having a severe UTI, and the only reason I went to the hospital that day was because I walked into my anatomy class and my teacher was scared I’d pass out or something, I was so pale. :’)
@@chronicallycoxing when I was like 12 I went to a&e for a cough. not just a regular cough, it wracked my whole body and it'd been going on for months with no clear cause and had irritated my throat so badly that it make me sick and sometimes I'd nearly pass out from lack of oxygen
yeah looking back on it I'm 99% sure it was psychosomatic because it went away once I started antidepressants. essentially I was so anxious and depressed that my throat decided to self destruct. the human body is wild, huh?

guys this might help with ur bills! click on any of the ceiling lights and click 'auto-lights' and then 'all lights', so the lights in a room will only turn on when a sim is in there & you won't waste electricity!!
also!! there's a trash can you can get that gives u a bit of money every time you throw something away :)
i was wondering about the auto lights, they did say soft lighting is the key but we don't get the chance to see it.
