I’ve listened to a myriad of David Bowie interviews many many and I find this one to be one of the most enjoyable. I liked the chemistry between the DJ and David and David sense of humor with spot on. He felt relaxed and comfortable not only in the interview, but with himself as well. God, I miss him. Peace.
I remember listening to this! Takes me back. It was a blasting hot sunny Saturday morning and I was driving back from the lorry yard after a week away and remember being really happy and looking forward to the weekend. Such good memories of those times. In a different career now and life is less fun than those days.
Thanks so much for posting this wonderful, funny interview. It’s so relaxed and natural between them both. Made me sad when he mentions Little Richard being ill and yet Little Richard outlived Bowie in the end. It’s always fascinating to hear Bowie’s thoughts on the changing music industry at that time. I recall him saying in another interview that touring would be the main way musicians would make money in the future and the internet would mean people would access music like turning on a tap. He was so very prescient! To have seen him play Low live 😲 must have been so special!
Couldn't sleep; thorougly enjoyed 2 hours of David Bowie with Jonathon Ross; even a Ken Bruce mention towards the end. David made reference to the end of his life, which he vered; so prophetic.
What a fun interview...I love Jonothan Ross and he and Bowie get on so well. Ross really looks up to him. But most people do. I only wish I could see this as a video!
He tensed up and got a very stern and frustrated tone and could not even talk about her in even a perfunctory way!!! I thought this tells me all I need to know about David Bowie!!!
This is an excellent interview and I nearly ignored it because I strongly dislike Jonathan Ross but fair play to him - he finds the right tone here and Bowie responds magnificently.

Jonathan Ross was such a huge david bowie fan, it's great listening to the banter in this interview.
Adorable man, I will never forget the sound of his wonderful warm voice ♥️

I love how he ends up wearing that 'Song of Norway' shirt in the 'Where Are We Now?' video!
The Marc track he’s thinking of was Chateau in Virginia Waters from the My People Were Fair album. Hermione must have come from over that way.
This was a great interview, really enjoyed it.
Brilliant rapport!!
I like this. I think it's hilarious.
