It’s God’s truth. He is the author we are the messengers. We don’t always have the answers but the Word of God does. We need to be confident of our belief by knowing scripture. Always be ready to give an answer and learn together.
The courage… and love… I’m seeing that our love is lacking the depth necessary to allow our courage to speak the power it needs. Help us, Lord, to love, and speak. Help us to really touch people with the same power that Jesus did. His enemies were those in the religious robes, not the common people. They are captives to evil ideas and we, like He, are sent to set them free. God, give us wisdom and love.

Unfortunately the church I attend does not discuss any of the events going on today. I found Cornerstone Church in Leesburg Va. The pastor at that church is the greatest. He covers everything we are seeing in our world today. No surprise his church is growing rapidly. People crave to hear the truth which the vast majority of churches hide from us.
I’ve been following Allen Nolan in Oklahoma and I love the knowledge he says then I herd this ministry and like it too I’ll continue with both and be the best person I can
My wife and I left our previous home church because the senior pastor clearly stated he will not speak on the culture and politics during the midst of the 2020 riots occurring throughout the country. Thank God we started attending a church a distance away but our pastor is bold as a lion! As a matter of fact, Eric Metaxas spoke there about a year ago.

I remember watch a teaching by a wonderful Trinitarian theologian on GCI international around 15 years ago. He was asked the question, what do you see is the biggest problem in the church today? Thank you for faithfully sharing. I was struck to the core by the statement "we were called to this time and place". It is not an accident, it is not punishment, it is simply our time to be the people of God to share his Truth and it is His purpose for our lives. He intended for us to be here for such a time as this.
We are to be salt & light. This is HOW we are salt & light, by pushing back against ungodly things happening in our communities, churches, schools & families. We MUST speak out against, reject evil agendas, etc. Not be afraid to talk realistically with other people…believers & unbelievers about all things.
You are so right, many Christians say, oh , it's political, we aren't to be involved in politics. This is what I hear from believers, we are to pray for our leaders. This is such a cop out so that they don't have to do anything. I get angry with their laziness.
Absolutely BRILLIANT! I have been saying this for, at least, the past 8-9 years. I am so sick and tired of going to church on Sunday morning and hearing a fluff story from Scripture. Where is the doctrine, where is the theology, and now, what are we prepared to do about it. Yes, we are saved by grace alone through faith alone. The Lord has done His part, and now we have a job to do! What are we prepared to do about it. Eric Metaxas is saying exactly what the church needs to hear. I'm just a lowly seminary student in his last year. By God's grace and guidance, I intend to speak the truth.
That theology is missing is an understatement. Eric appears to be solidly in the Reformed theology camp that holds to the twisted view that "we're saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone." This is pure sophistry. We are saved by "faith apart from works," not "faith that works." Your fundamental error is that you fail to distinguish when Scripture is speaking to believers and when it's speaking to unbelievers. Reformed theologians are guilty of circular eisegesis. They read their errors into every text they read. Metaxas is one of their more vocal supporters.

Here in Australia we have just witnessed a believer (Andrew Thorburn) step down from a prominent job with a football team owing to his Christian faith & biblical understanding about abortion/homosexuality and the fallout is stupendous! These indeed are crazy times! Thank you both for the clarity of your message!
Yep, unlike a lot of people who resign, Andrew didn't do anything wrong, and resigned on principle, and can hold his head high, backed by his faith. Now Essendon, rightly, is seen as an ogre of a club. They will bounce back...when, we won't know. It think with the bad PR that the Bombers are getting over this, I think a lot of other clubs will back off a bit, and reassess how they handle people of faith.

Metaxas hits the underlying issue with the Western Church as a whole right now. To me it boils down to complacency, and the Church's inaction is either due to fear of losing a quality of life being currently enjoyed by the congregation (and pastors), or just straight laziness of the saints. Once this hurtle is overcome, the true Church will emerge. This is the Church which will march straight into battle with the Lord Jesus at the End of Days. Francis Shaeffer made similar points in his book, "The Great Evangelical Disaster." Another good read.

I've traded-in calvinistic presbyterian churchiness "sermons" for listening to Pastors Alan, Brett Meador and Gary Hamrick for true heart-felt and powerfully honest and encouraging "teachings". I still believe in 2 Cor 5:19 but am beginning to understand and realize my responsibility to continue to confess with my mouth using my 1st amendment right to speak the truth against the subtle evil permeating our society from every direction. It seems the gates of hell have been thrown open and I can't imagine that *_Now_* isn't the final hours for the church on earth. Perhaps this is exactly what Jesus Yeshua was referring to with regard to the 10 virgins, half of whom didn't think they'd need to bring extra lighting oil, maybe their failure to recognize the need for light equals failure to recognize the darkness all around them. I pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to awaken, bring wisdom and empowerment to know the truth and do it. He is my strength, honor and power. Fear be damned!

We are blessed to have a pastor who has always aligned us with biblical Truth and never shied away. Bit he's becoming more and more bold, speaking about our responsibility to steward our gift of citizenship and how to do that with a biblical worldview. He's becoming more fearless and I'm so proud of him and this video encouraged me to send him an email thanking him and letting him know we stand with him in prayer. It’s God’s truth. He is the author we are the messengers. We don’t always have the answers but the Word of God does. We need to be confident of our belief by knowing scripture. Always be ready to give an answer and learn together.

The courage… and love… I’m seeing that our love is lacking the depth necessary to allow our courage to speak the power it needs. Help us, Lord, to love, and speak. Help us to really touch people with the same power that Jesus did. His enemies were those in the religious robes, not the common people. They are captives to evil ideas and we, like He, are sent to set them free. God, give us wisdom and love.
The courage to tell your democrat family that Abortion is murder and that democrats have values that are against GOD and his word.

Unfortunately the church I attend does not discuss any of the events going on today. I found Cornerstone Church in Leesburg Va. The pastor at that church is the greatest. He covers everything we are seeing in our world today. No surprise his church is growing rapidly. People crave to hear the truth which the vast majority of churches hide from us.
And the Word of God by which we learn His way and His truth . . . John MacArthur does the same. ❤

My wife and I left our previous home church because the senior pastor clearly stated he will not speak on the culture and politics during the midst of the 2020 riots occurring throughout the country. Thank God we started attending a church a distance away but our pastor is bold as a lion! As a matter of fact, Eric Metaxas spoke there about a year ago.
I wish Eric wouldn't speak so much politics, either. Trump does no wrong in his eyes.

Thank you for faithfully sharing. I was struck to the core by the statement "we were called to this time and place". It is not an accident, it is not punishment, it is simply our time to be the people of God to share his Truth and it is His purpose for our lives. He intended for us to be here for such a time as this.
We are to be salt & light. This is HOW we are salt & light, by pushing back against ungodly things happening in our communities, churches, schools & families. We MUST speak out against, reject evil agendas, etc. Not be afraid to talk realistically with other people…believers & unbelievers about all things.
You are so right, many Christians say, oh , it's political, we aren't to be involved in politics. This is what I hear from believers, we are to pray for our leaders. This is such a cop out so that they don't have to do anything. I get angry with their laziness.
Absolutely BRILLIANT! I have been saying this for, at least, the past 8-9 years. I am so sick and tired of going to church on Sunday morning and hearing a fluff story from Scripture. Where is the doctrine, where is the theology, and now, what are we prepared to do about it. Yes, we are saved by grace alone through faith alone. The Lord has done His part, and now we have a job to do! What are we prepared to do about it. Eric Metaxas is saying exactly what the church needs to hear. I'm just a lowly seminary student in his last year. By God's grace and guidance, I intend to speak the truth.
That theology is missing is an understatement. Eric appears to be solidly in the Reformed theology camp that holds to the twisted view that "we're saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone." This is pure sophistry. We are saved by "faith apart from works," not "faith that works." Your fundamental error is that you fail to distinguish when Scripture is speaking to believers and when it's speaking to unbelievers. Reformed theologians are guilty of circular eisegesis. They read their errors into every text they read. Metaxas is one of their more vocal supporters.
I could sit and listen to these two fine, insightful men for hours. This is great. 👍

Here in Australia we have just witnessed a believer (Andrew Thorburn) step down from a prominent job with a football team owing to his Christian faith & biblical understanding about abortion/homosexuality and the fallout is stupendous! These indeed are crazy times! Thank you both for the clarity of your message!
Yep, unlike a lot of people who resign, Andrew didn't do anything wrong, and resigned on principle, and can hold his head high, backed by his faith. Now Essendon, rightly, is seen as an ogre of a club. They will bounce back...when, we won't know. It think with the bad PR that the Bombers are getting over this, I think a lot of other clubs will back off a bit, and reassess how they handle people of faith.

Metaxas hits the underlying issue with the Western Church as a whole right now. To me it boils down to complacency, and the Church's inaction is either due to fear of losing a quality of life being currently enjoyed by the congregation (and pastors), or just straight laziness of the saints. Once this hurtle is overcome, the true Church will emerge. This is the Church which will march straight into battle with the Lord Jesus at the End of Days. Francis Shaeffer made similar points in his book, "The Great Evangelical Disaster." Another good read.

I've traded-in calvinistic presbyterian churchiness "sermons" for listening to Pastors Alan, Brett Meador and Gary Hamrick for true heart-felt and powerfully honest and encouraging "teachings". I still believe in 2 Cor 5:19 but am beginning to understand and realize my responsibility to continue to confess with my mouth using my 1st amendment right to speak the truth against the subtle evil permeating our society from every direction. It seems the gates of hell have been thrown open and I can't imagine that *_Now_* isn't the final hours for the church on earth.
Perhaps this is exactly what Jesus Yeshua was referring to with regard to the 10 virgins, half of whom didn't think they'd need to bring extra lighting oil, maybe their failure to recognize the need for light equals failure to recognize the darkness all around them.
I pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to awaken, bring wisdom and empowerment to know the truth and do it.
He is my strength, honor and power. Fear be damned!

We are blessed to have a pastor who has always aligned us with biblical Truth and never shied away. Bit he's becoming more and more bold, speaking about our responsibility to steward our gift of citizenship and how to do that with a biblical worldview. He's becoming more fearless and I'm so proud of him and this video encouraged me to send him an email thanking him and letting him know we stand with him in prayer. And he's allowed a man who is dressed like a woman in the church!!! We've spoken out against this, to be shut down and told we're wrong to not accept this!!!!
