@@TheNobleScoundrel I know this comment was made a long time ago but they started the grant kirkhope video jokingly playing it saying he did the music for it and having grant leave. They said they did play conker but they weren't really talking or making jokes much so they never released it.

This is cuz Devs of the N64 were able to get like free sound packs which would just come with a ton of sounds for you to use freely so you can hear them across many N64 titles. Hence why you can hear the Ocarina of Time Hawk sound in Glover.

2: They only edit when the grumps "initialize it" which is on average once every other episode(typically if it's one-offs which happened more in the Jon era) though when Jon Tron was on the show they "initialized it" a bit more.
In short, it's not at all Kevin's fault, he just does what the grumps tell him to.

Actually Kevin did a pretty good zombie burgie during one of the Mario 64 playthrough episodes. He was ok, but I'm glad SuperMega is in the editing chair now.
I used to play battle tanx all the time when I was a kid, and one game i think should be remastered, especially since the graphics and mechanics for tank assault games have greatly improved over the years.

I know it's late as hell, but I think the BattleTanx Jon played that he was talking about was the PS1 installment of this. I played it recently and the tanks were definitely not this fast and didn't even remotely handle like Twisted Metal.
This game was so amazing when I got it, and it still is N64 ftw.

@@rockieboba You can find art for the guys in the Crimson Guard that show them in more detail than the image in the game/video. Lefty Magoo is way less horrifying when you know what you're looking at, because he's not some hellspawn, but rather just a robot

They're just using tanks on each other. There's literally no storyline. Besides, if a plague wiped out 99.9% of dudes, we'd be all over that It's a matter of restoring the balance through reproduction. No women, no reproduction. It's literally survival of the fittest here.

If I'm not mistaken, they tried to record an episode but they just didn't like the quality of it. Couldn't really find that much humor in it since the game just speaks for itself
They said that they argued most of the time/ got nowhere and found it to be boring material for an episode. I believe they lost the footage for the first episode as well.

Please learn how to use the guided missiles the right way. It was painful to watch those missiles just being used like very slow rockets. DX Also the "TIE" in TIE fighter stands for "Twin Ion Engine".

OH MY GOD JON UNDERSTANDS. The Conker's Bad Fur Day N64 multiplayer is goddamn GOLDEN. My brother and I would just play that capture the flag game against Einstein level computers for hours and never get tired of it, or screwing with each other.
There's a secret if you have a lot of a secondary weapon. I forgot exactly...but pressing A and B when you use it...uses all the ammo and does a super item effect.
Next time you play this, press all four C buttons simultaneously. You'll get a nice treat.
fire is actually a very good weapon against tanks, because it takes out the crew inside, tanks aren't air tight, it gets hot in there very quickly

Arin mentioned at a Convention that they actually did record a grumps ep for Bad Fur day, but they both hated it so much that they decided not to release it. Apparently, Arin didn't like the game to begin with, and Jon was realizing that it didnt hold up as well as he'd remembered.
4:39 I have something to add: B and A at the same time uses a super version of your secondary that uses 10 charges I think. I remember the giant guided missile and those plasma things would just blast out like a machine gun =] Using a super turbo is also completely silly.

Aw man i used to play this game for like days on end when i was a kid... mostly because it was an awesome N64 game and i didn't have many friends in-town. I'd end up with the Tetris effect playing in my head when i went to bed.
oh and whoever was using those white-target missiles, those were GUIDED ROCKETS, when you hold the button you can steer that right into your enemy's face. Good times. In the previous game those things stayed at ground level so you could never go over obstacles or bumps... ahh, the second game was sooooo much better than the first.
If only they spent a lil more time on this game, there's SOOOOOOOOOOO much good about it. Teleports, the hidden powers you can use when you have 15 of any weapon, the missiles are guided for god sakes, holding down the A button let's you direct them. It's just.... such a good game, especially in tank wars and better modes.

This is the game my cousins, sister, and I play everytime we're together. This game is such a blast and its better than the first by far.

Tank Wars mode is the most epic way to play this game.
Sad moment when you know the Iron Maiden gang has 3 Goliath tanks, one Rhino tank, a Marksman (laser) tank, and a flipee tank. And its the only one you use. That, or the old warriors, with their nuke chance, and rocket tanks.
