Your hair looks gorgeous. It is amazing how such small changes can make your hair look so much thicker and strangely enough even longer. Your hair color is rich & shiny….love it!
Thank you so much for this. I have a lot of anxiety and hate going to the hair salon for cuts so my hair has been mostly a blunt cut my husband or myself do but, now thanks to you I can give myself a little more of an actual style. Thanks again keep up the great work! ♥️
i dont know why but the way you use the scissor is so flawless...perfect...beautiful xD I really love your work. You seem to be a really really good hairstylist...good technique, always worried with your clients, very lovely...Ur amazing...
Sounds very good, you are famous hairstylist,I am Winnie from hair manufacturer,if need hair bundles, closures, frontals and wigs just feel free let me know, thanks a lot☺️☺️🤩💕💘
Drugstore products are loaded with crappy ingredients to make your hair look and feel shiny and healthy, but they’re actually terrible for your hair. I recommend the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, especially if you have damage. Trust me, it’s worth the extra money, and it’s very concentrated, so it’ll last you a long time.
Awesome video with great tips! When you were cutting the bulk out with your texturing shears, I had to look away. I caught my hand with mine a few months ago and I’m still traumatized by the jagged, gaping cut they left. 😅
Hi Sam I love that you cut your hair dry I have curly hair and I know exactly were I want my length im not a professional but I been cutting my hair for many years because every time I went for a hair cut they would over cut 🙆🏻♀️
It’s personal preference and depends what you’re doing. Wet hair is easier to cut through, so if I’m cutting off several inches, I will do it wet. But usually for trims, layering, texturizing, and detailed work like that, I will do it dry so I can see exactly where everything will naturally fall. Like I said in the video, I pretty much never wear my hair pin straight, which is why I didn’t bother straightening it before I cut it. But if I was doing something super blunt that requires more precision, then I would have straightened it first. Hope that makes sense! :)
Love your videos!!! I also have a question,I want to dye my whole hair light brown,I have dark brown hair ,would that be considered an all over color ?
A demi permanent (or toner) will only give you very light coverage and help blend the grays, so you can do that, but it’ll still be very light. If you want more coverage, you’ll have to use permanent color with 20 volume.
Thanks! I haven’t done anything different to it. The darker color up top is my natural color and the lighter color on the ends used to be blonde last year, so it just looks a little lighter.
Yes, I'll probably have to send you a message through Instagram, currently live in Japan and idk why layers are so difficult to do here 🤦🏻♀️😭 I've had terrible haircuts for 2 years! Help me SAM!
I have a lot of hair and curly/wavy. I have a lot of hair on the back of my head and it makes my curls back there not look good I’ve tried everything and plenty of products but still somehow that part just doesn’t curl as the front part. Any advice? I’ve tried thinning it out with a stylist but I think they don’t have much knowledge with curly hair that they just don’t know how or what to do with my hair
I wouldn’t thin it out, I would just cut shorter layers, and try drying it with a diffuser with your head flipped upside down. That should help give your curls more lift, but keep in mind that your hair can have different textures and curl patterns in different places on your head. The hair in the back could just be less curly naturally than the front.
@@styledbysamvay thank you!! I will try more layers. I do notice it’s way thicker and feels different on the back so I think you’re right, the back part is just a different pattern and texture as well. I did a Keratin treatment yesterday at the salon so I’m hoping that helps. I will get a new cut in a couple of months. Thank you again for answering!!
I don’t have a specific goal. I guess I just want to see how long it can get, because I’ve never had super long hair before. We’ll see how long I’ll last though before I get the urge to chop it all off 😂
Sam why!! You’re making me want to just do it 🤪 love your vids so much girl!!

Omg! Your step-by-step, non-tutorial was awesome! My trim came out great!!! Thank you Sam!!
Yay! So glad it helped you!! :)

This is why I love you so much Sam you never change love this cut and your hair is so healthy and pretty 💜xx
Hey Sam what shears do you use? ✂️
what shears would you use to cut bangs?
i dont know why but the way you use the scissor is so flawless...perfect...beautiful xD
I really love your work. You seem to be a really really good hairstylist...good technique, always worried with your clients, very lovely...Ur amazing...
Thank you so much!
This is the most simple and well explained tutorial
Could you do more hair cutting videos but on clients? Loved the vertical technique you did with the texturizing shears! ❤️

great video, i needed this inspiration and will let my stylist cut my hair just like this next week👍
I can't get over how pretty you are! 😍😍
Hello Sam. I need your advise on what I can use for frizz and damaged hair. Any drug hair products plz. Thank you 😊

Will this work for thick hair? My hair is always so thick in back especially of course
Hi Sam I love that you cut your hair dry I have curly hair and I know exactly were I want my length im not a professional but I been cutting my hair for many years because every time I went for a hair cut they would over cut 🙆🏻♀️
Exactly why I did it that way! :)
I noticed you did not straightened your hair ,before! Which way it is better? Wet or straight cut? Thanks for the video!

as a stylist who never gets their hair done i did this immediately thank you!!!!!!!!!
I feel that!
You are also hairstylist?dear, sounds very good☺️
I have a lot of white/gray hair. Can that be toned to a light blonde color?

@@styledbysamvay Thank you so much 💛💛 I don't mind if they stay light but I'd rather them be more of a blonde than the white that they are 💛💛💛
You should do curtain bangs!! 😍😍
I considered it, but I know I’d get sick of them after a week lol
Did you color your hair brown? I love the undertone ❤️
Thanks! I haven’t done anything different to it. The darker color up top is my natural color and the lighter color on the ends used to be blonde last year, so it just looks a little lighter.
i love u sam

You don’t look sweaty you look like a dewy queen👑💄
I like the sound of that way better 😉 lol thank you!
I feel like cutting my hair now haha
Do you have a PO Box??
what’s the healthiest way to go from blonde to dark and vice versa? I feel like hairstylists go back and fourth and their hair always looks healthy..
Hey girlie!
Is the V shape coming back?
Lol maybe
Anything is possible in the hair world lol
What do you use for your brows
I tint them with the Elleebana brow henna in natural brown, and then I use the got2b spiking glue as brow gel.
What is your hair lenght goal? It's pretty long now :)
I don’t have a specific goal. I guess I just want to see how long it can get, because I’ve never had super long hair before. We’ll see how long I’ll last though before I get the urge to chop it all off 😂
@@styledbysamvay Now I am curious 🤔 I guess we will see!
Hola...👋🙂 CHiQiA.
I’m that girl that will rock her left side 4 inches longer than the right before cutting off any of my length😂😂😂😂
Why are you cutting your hair dry?
I always do layers and texturizing on dry hair so I can see where everything is going to naturally fall and how heavy it’ll be.
@@styledbysamvay oh cool! Learned something new
