Did this exact same thing to my new truck.. Took me 3 days to get it set up where I wanted it... Going through old inventory, getting rid of old junky parts, Finding stuff you didn't know you had. Making new boxes or set ups to hold gear. Then comes the new wrap for the truck =$$$. But in the end,, it's worth it.. Keep it up Steve !!!
The minute that roll-up door gives you a problem. Have a local sheet metal fabricator make up a set of pre-hung barn doors built in a frame. Stainless steel would be nice with storage pockets on the inside. Roll-up is definitely set up for package transport. A guy on RUclips did a rear door conversion on a fed-ex truck. Find "Living in a Step Van RV Conversion | FedEx Truck Tiny House" on YT to see the rear door conversion he did.
I built a wall inside my roll up door. Installed a nice Anderson storm door and two plexiglass windows in the wall. Easy, fast, lets plenty of light in and you can still roll down the factory door.
You are an inspiration to us self-employed out here. Takes a lot with everything riding on your shoulders. Can't wait to see your service calls in your new truck.
13:45 the light control dial. In order from left to right: off, auto, running, headlights. The truck has automatic lights, so you can just leave it in the auto position
Great video, Steve!, have fun lol 😆, and enjoy your new truck, especially with air conditioning and a working heater !, don't forget that special spot for Miss Molly!
Man that old truck smokes worse than Cheech and Chong when you step on the gas, couldnt tell if that was anti freeze coming out of the tail pipe ? The new ice cream truck is super nice, can't wait to see it In Action
Steve, you should get an owners manual for your new truck. They often reveal details that you never thought of about the vehicles features and capabilities--especially a modern vehicle.
A big job. But it will be sooooo worth it when the transfer is complete and you're ready to go in the new truck. Good luck my friend. I hope Miss Molly likes the new wheels as much as her Dad.
Im old enough to remember when we took a whole weekend to build shelves im our trucks they were much quieter and held much more weight i put red rubber gasket material on them
Thanks for sharing Steve! It's good to see whats in your truck and I loved the old truck tour. This one looks like it will be better than the last! Glad to see you got it all sorted out.
I think you should flip the mattress and buy some new items to organize your tools and inventory. They make some trick stuff and likely to be less weight as well. Love the new truck, great move shopping around.
Ahh man the memories over the years. That new truck is so nice. If the roll up gives issues in the future maybe it can be remodeled for doors n latches. Idk. But dirt n stuff Def will cause it to stick in future. Maybe also winter. Guna probably lube it in future? Idk I don't own a truck, never will, just throwing thoughts. also @ 7:10 and then 14:10 so good! so quiet now!
I've used box trucks with roll up doors for a few years now, they work well, just need minor maintenance, like rollers replaced, but very infrequent, and cheap.
You keep hammering there Steve looking good.....those barn door storage on the back doors that roll up door is nice but theres no storage there youll relocate that with no problem
That’s a very nice looking new truck. I hope it ends up being a lot more reliable then the other one was. Looks like you are on the way to getting everything set up in the new one. Your a go getter Steve hang in there your on your way to getting the new truck ready. I hope ya get many years of service with it.
I've done this 3 times so far, it's never fun, one thing I've learned is if you don't get it done just the way you want it there's no going back, it's alway a push to get it done to get back to work, hope miss Molly gets a nice set up, now is this old truck gonna be the next menopause manor! Next level!
I wish the guys out here had well stocked trucks like you. They all have Chevy express vans here. Need a somewhat routine plumbing job that’s above homeowner grade? “Gotta goto the supply house, come back tomorrow”
some angular gravel in driveway would keep everything clean and dry! Surprised to see everything getting thrown in the mud. Not fun working in the winter time! Curious to see how well the godzilla motor hauls ass compared to the diesel
Steve, it would be cool if you could sell the old truck to the guy that's doing the conversion of the trucks to electric only. It would be awesome to see a more affordable electric truck that was once belonged to you out on the road.
Hey Steven, its a new truck, and thus a chance to declutter while setting up the new truck. Would recommend getting rid of the filing cabinets and changing over to some proper storage. You're burning fuel moving that those heavy parts drawers (that look like they came out of a library). Good Luck
Man I’d rattle can spray foam in place some high density foam board insulation on the inside before you load ‘er too much. Helps with sound and as well insulation. And will protect from denting like you did with plywood before.
Good time to do some Gleening. Get rid of some stuff that you never used and most likely will never use. A lot of work but will make your job easier in the future. Fantastic work and a nice spruce up for the business. Keep up the great videos I love watching you do any thing. You remind me of my father there is nothing that he couldn't tackle==Learned a lot from him.
Don't forget a spot for miss Molly I feel you I had to do this once myself from one service van to the other overnight if I lived closer I would give you a hand
It’s funny you got more room and you got to think so hard to make the move. I looked at the adds. If it was 4 years ago I would have jumped. Got a low mile 3/4 ton Promaster. Happy with it
I’m always working in the mud too Steve a great thing to get is from Lowe’s. It looks just like cardboard but it’s pvc so it lasts forever it comes in 4ft by 8ft just like plywood.
Did this exact same thing to my new truck.. Took me 3 days to get it set up where I wanted it... Going through old inventory, getting rid of old junky parts, Finding stuff you didn't know you had. Changing work trucks is almost like moving from one house to another.
Your new truck is so nice and clean.
LEDs in the back for those dark rainy nights !!!
You are an inspiration to us self-employed out here. Takes a lot with everything riding on your shoulders. Can't wait to see your service calls in your new truck.
Take your time, dont get hurt. Im up early . You helped me plenty. I appreciate your time and effort. God bless America
My Two Cents:: You should put the trucks back to back to make it quick & easy to move items from the old truck into the new one.
Yeah, back them up to each other!! Open the back doors and transfer the tools and heat mama!!!
Then he can really be like FedEx and ups drivers swapping packages to each other's truck
Steve, I bet you found your communion money in the hodgepodge you had in the old ice-cream truck!
One day at a time, you know how it's gotta be. And it works. I'll keep tuned in.
Alot of memories being transferred. It'll look like the Taj Majal pretty soon !
13:45 the light control dial. In order from left to right: off, auto, running, headlights. The truck has automatic lights, so you can just leave it in the auto position
From left to right is. Off, fog lights, head lights, auto.
Correction: Off. Parking light. Lights on. Auto.
He does not have fog lights.
@@DAS769 you're welcome
@@DAS769 🤣
Congratulations on your new work truck Steve. You'll enjoy it! Making it the way you want. We enjoy you keeping us apprised of your progress! Thanks!
Great video, Steve!, have fun lol 😆, and enjoy your new truck, especially with air conditioning and a working heater !, don't forget that special spot for Miss Molly!
Friggin nice Steve, that thing is a tank. Setting up a new truck is one of the biggest pains in the ass.
Spray some under coat fluid film help to stop the rust

Steve, you should get an owners manual for your new truck. They often reveal details that you never thought of about the vehicles features and capabilities--especially a modern vehicle.
As usual Steve, you’re a real working man! Major undertaking but will be totally worth it. New truck is a Beaut!
Maybe he could have a service building trucks!
A big job. But it will be sooooo worth it when the transfer is complete and you're ready to go in the new truck. Good luck my friend. I hope Miss Molly likes the new wheels as much as her Dad.
Glad you are getting back into the swing of things Steve
Hello from South Africa. Wow, what a task you have on your hands...just hope you make a nice spot for Miss Molly. Take care Steve.
You're progressing fast
. Good job, Steve
Yep! Transferring stuff to a new truck is always a Blast! Good size truck! I use buy Econolines back-in the day!
Be sure to use the fully synthetic gear oil in the differential at the 100,000 mile oil change. It is expensive, but worth it.
Thanks for taking us along. 👍👍
Das ist jede Menge Arbeit. Ich drücke dir die Daumen das alles so klappt, und es so wird wie du dir das vorstellst.
Great job Steve, It's all coming together.
👍 Excited seeing this starting configuration plan setup! You’ll have it done just the way you want it in a matter of time! Martinsburg, WV 🇺🇸
So fast and so much work done Steve. That is inspiring. Good to see you are recycling a lot of the old stuff and not messing around with "perfection".
She's looking good there Steven.
Wow Steve, that’s a lot work! If I lived near I’d give you a hand! At least weather is not bad. Just a little chilly.
LOVE YOUR NEW TRUCK. YOU SHOULD BE TROUBLE FREE FOR MANY YEARS. GREAT VIDEO, TOU NEEDED A TAX WRITE OFF ANYWAY.
And the most important installation... Miss Molly's riding chair!
I think you should flip the mattress and buy some new items to organize your tools and inventory. They make some trick stuff and likely to be less weight as well. Love the new truck, great move shopping around.
He's tighter than two coats of paint.
@@zekeabercrombie3583 LOL!!
When in doubt throw it out.
Some of the stuff could use a fresh paint job just to refresh it. But yea, they have some nice storage solutions nowadays
Holy flippin shit, what an undertaking!! It seems the new work truck is bigger. Good luck organizing. Looking forward to seeing your progress!
I think maybe that front dome light comes on with controls in the headlight switch area to the left of the steering wheel--???
I Bet sending that thing to the scrap yard when ur done with it will be the best thing seeing the last of it lol
Lot of work but exciting. Video went good with my coffee and cranberry muffin this morning, Thanks Steven!
Lots of work for sure and it is cold!! God Bless you Steve.!

Keep in mind how many times a delivery driver opens the rear door every single day. These things are bulletproof
I've used box trucks with roll up doors for a few years now, they work well, just need minor maintenance, like rollers replaced, but very infrequent, and cheap.
One day at a time. Still gotta make a place for Miss Molly!🐕✌️👍
So fun! I love van shelving! I may be a dork, but I'm an organized dork.
You keep hammering there Steve looking good.....those barn door storage on the back doors that roll up door is nice but theres no storage there youll relocate that with no problem
Take your time do it the way you want to be comfortable and safe to work good luck

Outstanding Steve. That’s going to be really nice. Don’t forget about Ms. Molly’s perch. Have a great week.
I wish the guys out here had well stocked trucks like you. They all have Chevy express vans here.
Need a somewhat routine plumbing job that’s above homeowner grade? “Gotta goto the supply house, come back tomorrow”
Good enough for this neighborhood 👌
Makin progress, Mama! Then you have to get it lettered, and back in business.
some angular gravel in driveway would keep everything clean and dry! Surprised to see everything getting thrown in the mud. Not fun working in the winter time! Curious to see how well the godzilla motor hauls ass compared to the diesel
Miss Molly will be watching you lol telling you what to do! She wants the truck on the road asap mama
Real working man truck! Now the real working man needs a working man meal! Always a pleasure! Thanks for all your hard work!

You’ll find you like the barn doors better, but for that deal it’s worth the change!! Nice truck Lav!
That old truck is choochin!
Looking good Steve. She’ll be ready for work before you know it.
Rolling supply house!
Great time to downsize inventory😂but you know the first thing you toss out will be needed on the first job you do 😂
holy cow momma looks like a big job
Someone will buy that old smokey beast.
That's a ton of work -- nice you have a yard to work in. Great Job!
Good Start.
Very nice. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
You need to hit Amazon for led strip lighting. Light up the cargo area like an Airport!!! Cheap too.
I can´t wait to hear that beauty roaring down the street!
Steve can turn the old truck into a chicken coop or maybe miss Molly needs herself a girl cave 😂
Man I’d rattle can spray foam in place some high density foam board insulation on the inside before you load ‘er too much. Helps with sound and as well insulation. And will protect from denting like you did with plywood before.
Oh Momma! Steve's gonna be workin' again y'all.
Milwaukee pack out that thing. Can’t believe you bringing all that old stuff over.
Steve, you are a better man than me. I would have to have help to move all that stuff. So my hat off to you
Gonna be Next Level !!!!
I saw some Euro trucks have running sinks in the trucks. That might be helpful for summer work but you would need to drain the systems in the winter.
Give it the ole “howya doin!”
What a good old truck
Coming together well looks great
This new truck should take you to the end Steve, congrats!
Maybe you should have sent the old truck into Niagara Falls and sailed off into retirement…
Good time to do some Gleening. Get rid of some stuff that you never used and most likely will never use. A lot of work but will make your job easier in the future. I did the same thing when I got a new service rig. When I set it back up I organized everything by type of equipment. Nice truck u bought, good luck
Hi Steve, congrats!
Don't forget a spot for miss Molly
I feel you I had to do this once myself from one service van to the other overnight if I lived closer I would give you a hand
Going to work the first day will be like waking up in a strange bedroom. Where am I? 🤷♂️😆
Hello from the great state of Michigan
hey y'all need to get that truck together asap and run some service calls. your people must be freezing.
Looking good! Lots of progress made taking everything out and starting the set up process in the new truck!
she coming along mama!!
It’s funny you got more room and you got to think so hard to make the move. I looked at the adds. If it was 4 years ago I would have jumped. Got a low mile 3/4 ton Promaster. Happy with it
Nothing kills time more than customization. But you got to sharpen the saw sometime so it works better. Cheers.
Steve will be working again y'all 🛠️👍
setting up the work trucks takes forever.... i dreaded doing mine
I’m always working in the mud too Steve a great thing to get is from Lowe’s. It looks just like cardboard but it’s pvc so it lasts forever it comes in 4ft by 8ft just like plywood.
Love watching these! Great job and good luck to ya
I am hoping part 2 includes Miss Molly's seat / bed?
Your first job will probably be hell, have to get back into the swing of things. I have that problem when I go on vacation.
Glad you use the heater idea I did suggest it but idk if you saw it or not on Facebook
Looking good Steve 🇬🇧🇬🇧
