The fun part is omitted from this video. Pressing them apart, back together, is the real challenge.

You know you can buy the whole hub assembly for a little extra $$$ VS pressing and repressing the bearings. It save so much time.

Bearing on eBay pressing repressing better via your local mechanic shop because of commercial hydrolic press

I haven't been able to find a "loaded" knuckle for the Neon yet. Another video I watched showed a guy replacing his knuckles with loaded knuckles he got from eBay, but he wasn't able to provide a seller ID or part number when asked. I think y'all are full of hooey!

Yeah, same here, complete assembly is obviously better but it’s just not out there! There are complete assemblies for Toyotas and Hondas, but for dodge, none

That is great if you can find the entire hub assembly ready to go.

    I have an ‘02 neon...
The parts store online offers a 33mm and a 39”” bearing.
Do you remember which one you used?
And do you know which models the different sizes are for?
    I have an SXT model.
    Great video thank you.

    • @Mishakol1290

Probably 39mm. I was afraid I had the wrong size bearing but it turns out 39mm was just right.

Those nuts on the outer tie rod end kind of scare me for not having a cotter pin on the bottom and how many times do you use the nuts I know they are self locking. but they will wear out won't they? I just did this job and it was very easy it just takes a bit of time.

This labor at least require s a shop with commercial hydrolic press to push out old bearing.

@@gavrilovas1 that's not true you can use a mini sledge hammer and some jack stands and a old socket or a bearing press kit adapter. If you didnt kbkw they make entire kits for removing and (mainly) installing pressed in bearings. You're not really as screwed as you think in terms of pressing in or removing the bearings with a little knowledge and the right tool kit, no need for a shop press is all im saying.

@@gavrilovas1 This is a really good thing to have I did 3 bearings with it. No need for a shop press like I said you can hammer the old knuckle and bearing out with a mini sledge and then use this kit to press it back in. www.amazon.com/OrionMotorTech-23-Piece-Adapters-Replacement-Installer/dp/B01FLVOAZI/ref=asc_df_B01FLVOAZI/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198099503275&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4341352735132931732&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008715&hvtargid=pla-380969059348&psc=1

Muse Ali if you don't have the specific tool for that you might have to take the hub to a mechanic and let them do it for you. they might charge you though. the mechanic I went to charge me 50 bucks.

    • @gavrilovas1
      @gavrilovas1  7 лет назад
