- EarthRoamer - We take it Overland
Nathan and I traveled to just North of Denver Colorado to visit our friends at EarthRoamer where we were given exclusive access to their entire assembly process AND we got to take TWO EarthRoamers and a Raptor to MacGregor Ranch in Estes Colorado for some light overlanding.
We also got to met many of the EarthRoamer team members and you'll hear firsthand from them of their pride in building these vehicles. Each team member brings a deep hands on history to the table and get to hear where they started and how they became part of the EarthRoamer family.
So, if you've ever drooled over the thought of owning one of these magnificent beast (Nathan's words) or you're just curious how great a Luxury Overland Vehicle they are, grab a snack and your favorite beverage, get comfortable and enjoy the tour.
Now, wipe your mouth, you're already drooling...yeah it's ok to use your sleeve!

Yup...I want one.

The new version of this E.R is way more spacious than before ..
Yes the SX is well laid out and offers tons of room and amenities
I find it very sad when employees can't afford to enjoy the product they provide.
That said..these are absolutely awesome and beautiful.
Thanks for the comment. The company provides their workers with free access to one of their earth roamers so they do get to enjoy it. They are awesome overlanders! Thanks for watching!
Nearly every job in the world has that issue. People who build yachts, work in jewelry shops and produce anything with any value this can be said for.
we build offshore windturbines around 20 million euro each i'm so sad i can't take one home :( lol
Dare to Dream! Beautiful for sure but I would imagine its a 1%er thing. I can appreciate the shout outs to the craftsmen who build these incredible vehicles
They are incredibly talented craftsmen! Thanks for watching!
.001% more like. I can imagine the “owners rally” as quite a collection of douchebags. Not that I’m jealous or anything 😊
I saw one on Ridgeway sate campground in CO last September. Would love to have one.
They are a sight to see, and a remarkable over lander! Thanks for watching!
I need this in my life.
Oh yes! Thanks for watching!
I really want one of these

She’s a thing of beauty, send one over ,please,to me here in Wales 🏴
She is indeed. Maybe they can float one over

I'd like to see some Alaska action!!:-)

I think there’s a balance between vehicle size and accessibility. You can make a vehicle so large, even if very capable, that it won’t go where you want to go. I think these might be on the wrong side of that balance. For example, I think it would be much more difficult to get these things through the entire White Rim Road than, say, a 4x4 Sprinter van. These are much more spacious and luxurious but also much more limited in where they can go. At least that’s my impression.
Thanks for watching!
i definitly agree. if i had the money to and was going to buy something like this i would go for a van or maybe even a smaller truck camper
I think there’s a balance between vehicle size and accessibility. You can make a vehicle so large, even if very capable, that it won’t go where you want to go. I think a 4x4 Sprinter van might be on the wrong side of that balance. For example, I think it would be much more difficult to get that thing through the entire Appalachian trail than, say, a dirtbike. Or a backpack and some shoes. Vans are much more spacious and luxurious but also much more limited in where they can go. At least that’s my impression.
You're welcome for my very pointless and obvious opinion, to mirror your own. Unless you're hiking, you're giving up mobility for comfort/convenience/speed/etc. That your personal threshold is a sprinter van is irrelevant. Seriously, who cares? Why do guys like you feel the need to CONSTANTLY bring up how this is too big to go some places, like the people who buy them are completely oblivious to that until you showed up to point out the obvious. It's pretty arrogant, feeling the need to constantly interject this talking-parrot hottake into every video and every thread of every vehicle bigger than a 2-door jeep.
Anyone choosing to use a vehicle instead of their legs or a bicycle just needs to STFU already with their not-so-subtle superiority complex. There are other people who have wants that this happens to align with. If that's not the case for you, and you don't want one of these, great! Don't buy one! And stop clogging the internet with your irrelevant background noise opinions.
@@Rokmononovcry harder.
Just tow your van.
I want one.
Me too! Thanks for watching!
These Earthroamers are the epitome of an off road toy. As all great things evolve, I’ve always felt the only shortcoming in these is the stock Ford or GM interior cab. For this price or even a bit more, I think it would look amazing to have an upgraded interior cab that looks more like the Brabus XLP 900 or the Brabus 800 AMG interior cab. Would be more consistent with the highly customized camper and really make it stand out. For a custom build, even having the seating and surfaces in the camper match some of this look, like the diamond stitched seats, graphite surfaces and more European styling would be super cool. Maybe Brabus should buy one and customize it.
If you watch our Factory Tour Video to see how they are built, you'll see that they do attempt to bring the truck interior up a notch. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/KVb1hCZ6k-8/видео.html
@@TwoGuysandaRide Thanks for replying. Yes I did see that video and some of the changes they made to the cab. Excellent video by the way!
To me, it just isn't consistent with the high end upgrades to the rest of the vehicle. It still pretty much looks like a higher trim Ford of Chevy. It doesn't seem they have any obligation to make their vehicle showcase those brands per se.
Go check out this Brabus and imagine that inside an Earthroamer. ruclips.net/video/eYHLH8xnhC4/видео.html
It would distance it even further from the competition. If I spent over a 1.5 million, I don't want it to still feel like I'm driving a Silverado :) I suppose when buying one you could make this a customization option.
We agree that having Brabus
breathe" on it would be awesome. We are well aware of what Brabus can do....have you seen our Axopar Boat Video that Brabus crafted?
@@TwoGuysandaRide Just watched it. Pretty awesome boat! It just reaffirmed my point that the Earthroamer would be even sicker with the diamond quilted seats, head panel, and doors, carbon fiber seat backs, carbon inlayed dashboard, a bigger integrated touch screen to control lights and most accessories, and steering wheel, shifters, etc that were more custom. I’ll give you credit for suggesting it to them haha
@@michaelmiller6878 We did already in Feb '23 and spoke to our friends at Brabus/Axopar as well. You see....just like you, we get it.
I wanna see a video on the HD roaming around in the wild now that would be my dream rig

One question if dry camping can you portable fill your water tank.
Thanks for the question, yes it has gravity fill located on the passenger side. Thanks for watching!
Hopefully the shell has steel bar frames. If the truck flips, i hope the shell doesn't get crushed and all those stuffs inside don't break and get smashed
Watch our factory tour here EarthRoamer 2023 - How its made factory tour
ruclips.net/video/KVb1hCZ6k-8/видео.html of how the Earth Roamers are made, in which we discuss the strength of the back shell. Thanks for watching!
Nice campers, and it can overland on stretches like this, but small bumps and potholes and you will be scraping because of the long wheel base, if they get stuck, i dont think even my Iveco 4x4 could tow it free, maybe one of the larger Unimogs.
They’ve Overlanded them from Baja to Alaska and haven’t had issues. Part of it all is knowing where to Pilot your rig
Taking this thing off road is just like taking your Lorry in bushes…! At least it is full of comfort! I wonder if it can make a week in camping areas without calling Matt wrecker for help!
they take them off roading to Moab, Baja, Alaska and more all the time
Rear tire rack sure is moving around alot
Ok…and
This is one hell of a truck!!! Way to go ER!! Judging by that door though, most Americans won’t be able to squeeze through.😢 😂
It's a great truck and a plenty big door :) You should check out our FACTORY TOUR video too to see how it's made! Thanks for watching
There are EarthRoamers and then everything else. RLTW
We agree. Thanks for watching
i would like to know if that xv-hd is available u have parked on the north(?) end of ur drive. Made the visit while travelin to west yellowstone
Thanks for the question. Best to contact EarthRoamer directly for that. Their contact info is in our description below the video. Good luck!
There were a handful of HDs sold, but they are a discontinued model that has been replaced with the SX. They were considerably heavier(about 15,000lbs), and more limited in where they could travel as a result.
awesome trucks but i think i would buy 8 ford f 250 king ranches and put a shell on the back of one of them
Fair enough! Thanks for watching
It would have been amazing to see it do absolutely anything else other than a dirt road. Put it in some sand. Drive over a rock. Climb a hill.
With that being said. I have a totally new outlook on ER. I never knew the back end. I suppose if I was paying $800k I would want to drive it over a rock either. ✌🏻
ER does take their rigs through sand and over rocks from Alaska to Moab to Baja. Unfortunately we only had dirt and a little snow available on the day that we filmed. Thanks for watching
dose it duel systems .like two batterys. or back up system. I would like try one in the open road . or back roads
Yes it does. Thanks for watching!
It has roof mounted solar panels that will allow you to be full sustained off road for several days. For more information reach out to EarthRoamer directly
I'm concerned about the wobble of the cantilever wheel, you can see it wobble like it's about to come off at any moment
It’s not loose. They have 25 years and 350 of these off-road and I’m sure they’ve never had an issue
Great looking truck, but unfortunately wouldn’t last a month down the west coast of Africa once off the tarmac, I presume very little chance of spare parts outside of the USA, but ideal American campground overlander
Thanks for watching

Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
I can't afford one for shit , but damn if that ain't one cool looking vehicle. I could see myself living in that traveling the states
We're in the same boat. It was a dream to take both these cool rigs out overlanding! Thanks for sharing
It's too bad that most people that are watching these videos are the ones who can't even come close to affording this ridiculously expensive vehicle.
Yet some can
Law of attraction...look it up look into it .if your mind thinks from lack then that's what it will be. Think positive
@blackcatrose4257 thinking positive has absolutely no effect on one's bank account.... sorry but just being realistic.
Keep your thoughts positive attracts good opportunities, gives you inspired ideas. Picture you had that kinda money, feel emotions as though you did attracts it to you.
My lti is being built rn they are worth the money
How much can it tow?
Check their website for exact specs. Thanks
What kind of mileage do you get with the earthroamer?
Good question, we don’t have that answer off hand
Been 8 days, did you get it on hand ? 🙂👀

Why it’s branded as Chevrolet or Ford, why it doesn’t have ER on the front fender? Even though the model based on the chassis of other brands, this is so confusing
Thanks for the question. The Earth Roamers maintain the Ford and Chevrolet factory warranty on the parts of the truck that where made by ford or Chevrolet. This way the buyers and future owners know which one they have. The vehicles do have plenty of Earth Roamer markings on them, it’s quite impossible to mistake them for anything else. i who have nothing im poor
Thanks for watching!
Two things, (1) If you're going to showcase a vehicle for overlanding, maybe it ought to go offroad more than my Audi S5 can, and (2) the spare tire ought to NOT rattle on a $1 million vehicle, regardless if on pavement or an improved dirt road. Just saying.
ER does take their vehicles off-road through dirt, sand, rocks from Alaska to Moab and beyond. Unfortunately we only had a dirt and a little snow on the day we filmed. Thanks for watching.
@@TwoGuysandaRide Yes, you are correct and I've seen those videos. However, those are the LT with a shorter wheelbase and exit angle. These are SX and not the same beasts.

Is not good ..why u buy big band not pik up
Huh?
It costs $1.1 million yet parts, labor, etc is over $200K. What a waste of money. You’re better off buying a house or having someone do a custom build.
To each his own
2.3 million lol. So they make 1.7 million in profit. Where’s the rest of the truck???
Huh? The SX is $1.1 and the LTi is $800k
@@TwoGuysandaRide oh my bad. So a 400k build and 400k profit haha who the heck would buy these for that price. No washer and dryer. Competition will slowly creep up and sales will drop
